When players only drink Gatorade or Powerade and no water
pulrab Bru we got to drink water
All my coaches do is drown us in ice cold water it feels so good
@@canderson_75 same but after they give us gatorade\powerade after
drinking both is best
I drink more water than Gatorade goddammit 😂
I'm 16, in the 6th grade, I'm 5'3" 385lbs (with a full beard), run the 40 in 4.15 seconds, I have two kids, and like the color green... what position should I play???
TheFive Oh4 All of them. Obviously.
5'3 385 lbs u must be really slow
Your 16 and in 6th grade?
4.15 40?
Lmaoo😭😂
I'm a hs freshman coach myself..and another one you should add is when the athletes pull the bottom of their practice jerseys up and tuck them into their pads (front and back), or when the athletes talk a crap load during practices but are extremely afraid to talk during the games on the sidelines to cheer on their own team. A huge one is when your rotational athletes for either offensive or defensive positions are not present near you to be rotated in because they linger off or hide to watch the game and avoid to play.
Yeah I had HS football practice a few hours I’m on the O Line and literally our RB ran 20 yards and the Defence cheered when the tackled him no cheer when you stop him not when he’s 30 yards pat the line of scrimmage
Michael Valero no. Suns out guts out baby
lmao you follow @linemanissues on IG dont you ^
Nothing wrong with tucking your jersey, especially with practice jerseys cause they are not fitted like game jerseys
MLG Pro 420 I am linemanissues
When starter players lack off in practice bc they know they're gonna play
@@WakeTheFuckUpSamurai lol I’m a starter because I got 500 rushing yards on the 1 team
@@GmFmAgnostic nobody fucking asked you🤣
@@user-zz7wh5ls7j you’re just mad you’re bad
@@GmFmAgnostic nobody cares bruh🤨
@@yourdalvindefender7642 I did not ask you did I?
Linemen do you guys agree that we wear gloves for a good grip on the other players pads
I always wore receiver gloves because it gave grip on jerseys
yes and we have to Atleast somewhat get on the receiver and dB level of drip
Yes
TSC DAWN padded receiver gloves are good cause lineman gloves are really expensive for a glove
Yup
Im a lineman i wear a visor because i wear contacts and ive taken to many fingers to the face...
VFA Nova do you play high school?
Lil Jit yes I do
Do you have a prescription visor? And if u do, can u show me how to get one? Thx
Nvm, jus realized u said u have contacts
VFA Nova exactly nut the only down part if you are an o lineman you cant get face masks
Am I the only school that gives everyone the same face mask and helmet?
No you are not.
Nope
No
Nope buddy...
What helmets they give y’all?
I’m a long snapper an I only wear a visor because I think it looks cool.
Same man!!!
Same
Centers too.
I wear a visor because I'm a defense lineman and try to avoid all the fingers to the eyes.
I played RB and wore a visor to avoid the eye poking at the bottom of the pile
I wear a QB mask as a Center. I love it.
Ps. I love the LB gloves too. The shoulder pad thing, as a Center I need it, with the sleeve going all the way down my bicep it’s terrible to snap, and I like to practice as I play, so I don’t want to deal with a sleeve.
5:55 the only way that looks cool is if you are 6ft+ and over 200lbs. I tried doing that but I’m to skinny to pull off that look😂
I don’t get why a center would were a glove on his snapping hand I just need that feeling of the ball to snap correctly
Half-finger gloves bruh
It's whatever the center is used to. We had a kid wear them on defense but take them off when he went to center
I've played center for four years and just this year started using gloves. I use half finger gloves and it is so much better than no gloves. Long snapping/shotgun is so much easier and when the ball gets all sweaty or wet I struggle snapping without gloves
I’m a Center and I wear one because I play in Florida the reason being my qb doesn’t wear gloves so when I grip the ball it’s sweaty and wet so I need a glove to grip the ball
I completely agree, I wore a left glove but no right one because of this the rest of the line thought I was insane (especially our center for our heavy set who preferred snapping with a glove) because I'd come out of games and practices with my snapping hand all cut up and black and blue. Eventually after a while I started taping the fingers on my snapping hand and that worked wonders for extra grip on the ball
Football in Germany :
Cool wanna play Football? Buy yourself full equipment or leave it.
Last I feel bad for you
That's brutal
So true💯
@@willsmith1430 usually the Teams help with getting some used stuff if you can't afford to buy it right away.
But since we don't have the same school programs etc. over here, where they do have all of the equipment already it's really not that easy
to outfit all the rookies rolling in every year.
Upside of it is that you have perfectly fitted gear for your needs.
No pads that are too big, no super old helmets, no wrong facemasks etc.
You go to the outfitter, let him know what position you're going to play and they will measure you and ask for your preferations (Schutt vs. Ridell, longer or shorter pads etc.) and you will get just that.
So yes, you have to spend some money on it but imho it's definetly worth it.
A lot of teams with good jersey partners will even get you a jersey in the cut and size you want.
So it really has it's upsides.
Same in Sweden, we’ve got to buy our own stuff
My high school team wears shorts to practice, we are in south Florida, the feel like temp is 105
Mr. GROM south-east Texas is 120
It's 100 in Louisiana
a normal october afternoon practice for us in central alabama is around 118ish 🤦🏼♂️😂
What part I’m from miami
Joe Randolph i’m from texas it’s rough in that thick texas heat
bro that facemask thing is so funny😂 cause on madden they do that and I have to change it which takes about 30 to go thru every team
I only disagree about the rolled up sleeves on shoulder pads. I dont like to do it cause i think it looks cool but I like to do it cause it provides more air flow through your pads so you don't heat up as quickly.
I’m 16 years old, 5’7, and 152 pounds. My coaches put me at running back because I’m fast, I can break tackles, and I secure the ball with no problem, now I play middle linebacker as well, and I’m a kicker, which should I stick with more? Linebacker or Running back
When you pulled out the face mask I started laughing 😂😭😭😭
I wore receiver gloves in high school as a QB. They helped me grip the ball, especially in the rain, and I could never throw the spiral tight enough without them.
Living in Florida I always rolled my sleeves due to heat i also tucked my jersey under my pads to expose my torso as did almost all my team mates
I agree with you on some points but on others it’s a pretty old school look and approach to it. The game changes every year new things/trends come and go. Everyone is built different and doesn’t think/operate the same as for example, you. So myself being a coach in high school I let the kids express themselves how they feel best for the most part
I always wore long nike socks, but I don't remember if any of them were elite. I'm with you on the hoodie underneath the pads thing. Wear a sweatshirt if you have to, but in reality you should have a long sleeved shirt. you'll warm up if you're moving like you're supposed to.
I’ve played with a hoodie on under my pads. Sometimes it just be wayyyy too cold
Well playing in NE our coaches tell us to wear hoodies and sweatpants over girdles instead of knee pads like the whole second half the season because it is freezing
I have got a question, I have d tac 5 gloves and I’m playing full back and nose tackle, is there a better glove I could use any suggestions ?
I rolled my sleeves up this summer at camp because it was during a heat wave and the jersey they gave me was a black one, so it just made me cool down a bit. plus they gave me a jersey that was a bit too small and im a DE so the sleeves were always popping off anyways.
CannonXC I'm a DE to
Same
As a freshman interior defensive lineman, I like to where my jersey in a crop top with the belts poking out in practice. Honestly it’s the best, especially on hot days.
That first mistake seems like a mistake the coach made
I like it when I roll my sleeves over my shoulder pads 🤷🏻♂️
4:25 man looks like he about to cry lolllllll and 4:55
The only people to get towels on are team are centers,QB’s, and running backs that’s how I think it should be
Squidtard’s Fancy Uncle recivers can if they have a visor and or it is rainy or humid so they can wipe off there visor or gloves
I think punters and linebackers should get them
Anakin skywalker punters I get but linemen need to conserve as much energy and power as possible
battle hoodies go crazy
I’m a lineman and I wear a receiver glove because it offers more grip and it’s lighter.
I play for a small team and I play d end and receiver as well as special teams so I just leave my gloves on to avoid the hassle of constantly going to the sideline to take them on and off
I'm 6'7 freshman 280 lbs, bench 630 for reps and run 4.10 40, what position should I play
snap holder
I’m a 8’12 senior citizen 520lbs bench 900 run a 12.12 40 what position should I play
D line
Probably kicker I think that would be good for you
Rolling the sleeves on Jersey is essial because it one less thing to grab, get in way,and stiff
But you can’t do it in game so what’s the point
Lineman Football lol I’m a defensive end and rocked that look in a jv game and coach didn’t say nothing assuming that I volunteered to play down at jv even though I’m a varsity second string and was one of the better players helping the jv team. Plus the jerseys were humongous as in 2xl and would limit my range of motion if I had the sleeves down
I legit only wear hoodies under my pads on practices, is if it is freezing like 20° F
Any tips for me , i am a spark (outside linebacker) im 5”5 130lbs in highschool but im great in coverage and good at tackling, how do I improve?
Don’t call yourself a spark and switch to maybe a safety unless you put on some weight
Lift more get some more muscle and build weight and you’ll be unstoppable
Move to corner
I’m an 8th grader I’m 5’4 and 145 lbs
Am in 7th grade and am 5”6 and 141lbs
Don’t you have a previous video mentioning wearing hoodies under pads at practice?
4:44
I've always hated that ive been a backup due to me being 5'7 and like 180 lbs I'm somewhat bulky but i would never start because i wasnt big enough and I'm pretty smart when it comes to football so who dedicates their life to film and studying would outsmart me easily
My mistake was pulling up my pants and my knee pads went above my knees. I made a solo tackle and landed on one of my knees very hard to where it’s still in pain today and this happened way back in 2015.
One of my teammates on my high school team used to hate the ice bath after practice or a game, after our first ever game (we won 47-12)
The coaches (and me) literally had to throw him in it head first because he didn’t want to get in. He sounded like a 9 year old girl screaming.
I never wore knee pads work long sleeve sweaters and hoodies and practiced with no gloves but wore them in games
The hoody helps with conditionin
Whatever helps you. who cares what coaches think if it helps you then use it..
I get what you mean but after every game I am always injured so while there’s practice I’m healing to get better for the game
How do u feel about sweats over practice pants
Rolling the jersey over the shoulder for me is better than leaving it down. My pads are way too big and my jersey is fit weird so it cuts off the circulation to my arm so I roll it up a bit
I’ve committed a lot of em 😂 I play CIS and I don’t use knee pads cuz our biggest pants are 3xl and they barely fit. I also use superbads aka receiver gloves cuz lineman ones are too much. I also use a visor 100% of the time cuz I had a cornea transplant and don’t wanna fuck up my eye.
Super bads I’m g with
Where’d you get your watch it’s really nice
I am a tackle I use receiver gloves because I don’t care about the padding and I think the pad restrict my breathable of my hands and I like the stickiness for when I caught the chest plate and I don’t wear pads to practice cause I am 6’8 legitimately and my knee pads don’t cover my knees plus I am a linemen so like I don’t get hit in the legs
Are you going to review the Nike d’tack 6?
im actually really bad at football but i start because i can squat 500lbs idk there’s something wrong with my coaching staff im quitting next year to powerlift
Crispy Jay what position
Sam Sharpe middle linebacker i was an outside linebacker
Why would you quit if you’re a starter
Braden_Johnston29 the teams bad too we went 1-9
6ix9ine’s Attorney Damn no loyalty
Our team had a kid that never showed up to practice, but came to every game and played, Then halfway through the season he switched schools and gave the other team our playbook. Btw, when we played them they won.
Lmao
F
The only reason I wear receivers gloves as a RT is I’m a backup centre and our starter is never here or snaps not that good and coach told me to always prepare in case
If he’s never there and he’s a bad snapper then why is he the starter?
Danny Boy favouritism
Lmao what grade are you in where a starter doesn't show up 😂
I wear a visor because I can't see out of my left eye and so I wear it to keep my right eye safe so I can't go blind. And it really does suck because I can't do anything about my visor when it rains or snows
My hands are tough enough for sera gloves but I do not need the padding for alignment because it makes my fingers and hands feel restricted
When the QB doesn’t say the Cadence loud enough
I play a guard in semi pro, and I wear receiver gloves. Most lineman gloves are too bulky for me and I don’t like the padded receiver gloves
I’m a offensive tackle and I prefer wide receiver gloves bc lineman gloves are to big and harder to get a good fit on the defensive linemen chest piece
The jersey tucked up is because the jerseys are too big, as a player I prefer tight jerseys and if the practice Jersey is super big I'm gonna tuck it up
where do you coach?
what level do you coach at?
I don’t agree with some things like the socks. I like getting socks up to my knees cause I hate the turf or kid getting all in my socks and indint like it when the socks end up going down and I have to keep pulling it up but in game you don’t really notice it so it isn’t a mistake and more of a rant. Then the hoodie thing, I do that cause it’s either really cold or I’m just cutting water weight. It shouldn’t be a problem at practice. Then I’m all for being a multi sport athlete because it improves your game but if you aren’t then nothing wrong about being all about football. A lot of these are just rants and not mistakes
i wore a hoodie under my pads cuz it was cold asfff that game and i had a long sleeve under that and it was still cold
Centers PRACTICE WITH YOUR STARTING QB. Get used to HIS height and HIS cadence. Stop snapping to other lineman or running backs
I wear a hoodie during my games it be cold asf and long sleeves don't cut it i also wear a visor and i can see all my receivers perfectly
My coach is the same way about sweatshirts. He will throw kids off the field for wearing a hooded one during practice. If they don’t have a hood there fine. Their totally against them and won’t let you on the field until you take it off
For parents, don't make the mistake of buying a pair of cleats with too much growing room. The kids will get blisters on their feet because of poor fit. Cleats aren't too expensive anymore so buy for the present and not for the future.
although i agree i have legit grown out of cleats mid season.... if parents are struggling for money, no shame. You gotta what you gotta do
The last one I have to disagree with I roll my sleeves for game days because it looks weird and dose not match with the jersey
im a LG and i were receiver gloves bc it helps me grip and my finger nails don’t get torn off
Drink mostly water and after game sugar free gatorade/powerade or coconut water.
I was a backup for a whole year and played once and my dad never said anything and one kid who was a starter didn’t play one week and his parents got super mad at my coach
As a skilled position player, if it's cold wear a sweatshirt.. football is not that hard and doesn't keep you that warm
This guy prolly was a back up linemen
With all do respect
Imma 9th grader 6’3 230 pounds and im startin varsity for my high school as right or left tackle
what about now?
I play left guard I were d tack 6.0 gloves r those good???
Matthew Mackaravitz yes
the hoodies are a big thing in lacrosse (i play lacrosse) so sometimes kids wear like hoodies and sweatpants to football practice and i think it is stupid to do in football
Hoodies under pads look stupid but up in Canada we play in minus 10 sometimes soo
How about forgetting equipment on game day??
You tuck ur jersey under ur shoulder pads when ur a skinny lineman not trying to get grabbed by the sides and tossed
At our school, there is a small tradition of the Skills letting us score if we our up by a lot
Where and what age did you stop playing football
My school just wear gurdles and shorts to practice and scrimmage with no knee pads
Shoot I role my shirt over my shoulder pads sometimes for practice
😂😂😂😂😂😂 I feel your pain
btw the rolling up the sleeves IS NOT TO BE TOUGH its because ITS EXTREMELY HOT in texas
The part were he said not to wear a hoodie underneath your pads literally 5 people from my 8th grade football team failed at that
I’m 14 in the ninth grade I’m 6’1 164 pounds and run a 4.9 40 and play QB. Do you think that’s a good position for me?
yeah, you could play any skill position tho
I wear visor because one time I got my eye cut on someone’s finger nail
I needed to buy my own helmet for football, my first practice I get pads and stuff but after that I’m on y own.
I feel like you contradicted yourself a little bit with the hoodie under the pads one because in the cold weather life hacks video you made, you suggested people size up in hoodies and sweats to put over their pads.
honestly fair. i dont remember what i said at this point but i could have. I also might have meant dont wear hoodie or sweat pants in game. right now, my opinion is sweat pants and hoodies are ok. But i could change that again tomorrow hahah
I tuck my Jersey in my pads cause my sleeves are long as shiit and I look stupid when they're hanging out
I’m 15 yrs old 240lb looking to lose weight and turn it into muscle and speed since I’m a DT (Any Tips)
When player don't add to the atmosphere of the team or help on game day getting ready
0:34 you must have a lot of them cause of the amount of vids on this
The tucking the pads thing isn’t too big and if you have pretty trashy pads at a lower level school, tucking the pads id do much less annoying than hearing plastic hit everytime you touch the ground
Or getting stabbed lol
I have long socks because I’m fat and I’m a lineman and having the long socks gets a lot of compression
I put my jersey sleeves over my shoulder pads because the sleeves are so long on my jersey
Is boxing a good offseason sport for a lineman
We have a vid on that came out last month
I’m 5 ‘10 195 starting center and DT on my team
damn you a fat boi
I'm the center for my middle school in texas it's getting cold here and I don't know If I should wear a hoodie or not
I don't wear knee pads because I wear knee braces is that fine..
I put alll my dedication into football I wake up early I watch film everyday and study my plays but a new kid comes and take my spot because he is 6-4 300 pounds and I might change school but I don't know yet..🖓
Nick Folmar64 damn dats tuff
Don't change schools because it could make things worse because it could be a sign of no loyalty
Best players get to start...
Cut him and make him look bad
Remember technique always win, dont matter how big he is
I’m a center and I wear a leather glove for snapping even on my snapping hand
