  • If Covid-19 spreads across Africa it will be a human catastrophe. Many fear the continent is not ready to deal with the crisis. Its health systems are already under strain and could buckle under more pressure. And lockdowns have badly affected livelihoods with millions being pushed into poverty. HARDtalk’s Zeinab Badawi speaks to Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, a special envoy on Covid-19 for the African Union and Chair of the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunizations. As the world races to find a vaccine, how will she ensure lower income countries don’t get forgotten?

hydroxychloroquine is one of the products used for travelers going to Africa for Maleria. Apparently it's working against Covid 19 too.

The host seems to have wrong impression about Africa, if there's any nation to survive covid19 in the whole world it must be Africa despite lack of resources! Look at what is happening in UK, US and rest of Europe with all the resources at their disposal, literally dying like sprayed flies. As Africans, we rely mostly of African healing and tradition to safeguard our lives.

Comments on intevew with Nikol Pashinyan are closed, because as expected BBC 's biased spread of false news is afraid of expressed opinions. I am not sure why Mr. Pashinyan accepted this interview, but I can make a good guess he probably thought this would be a respectful and honest platform. I am no politician but I can tell that this platform is not respectful neither honorable. Gharabagh is Armenia! Make a note of it. Would you tell an Israeli politician that you didn't care about their history but what U.N resolution says? Would you dare to say that to Israel? You little person.

I see comment section open on any video I randomly opened until now except for the one with Nikol Pashinyan. Steven learn to handle criticism. You made strong claims and couldn't back them up with the necessary scientific source. It's no surprise that you be biased and partial as a journalist, but to spread false claims is unacceptable. Please quit lazy journalism.
