It's so raunchy yet he and the dancers are emitting some sort of vibe as if it should be sexy. It's bizarre and mesmerizing maybe because I was such a fan of the original song.
Saw him live in 1997, where he downed a bottle of red wine on stage, tried three times to play Into My Arms while complaining about how difficult it is to play and sing at the same time, had to be prevented by security from throwing a large synthesizer into the crowd, and finally went to the release party for Prodigy's Fat Of The Land where he danced like a lunatic for an hour, punched a guy and got thrown out. I've seen him a few times since, but that was the most memorable one for me, if not for him

I love the video clip. It's my sense of humour Anton else rather than Nick Cave could not of pulled off the ballad, story, song like He is so funny. I live the tune too.
Nick talked about Blixa’s contributions on guitar in an interview that I watched, he was not of course their lead or even rhythm guitarist, he played his guitar tracks over a mostly finished song in the studio, and they were just weird, unique riffs. They didn’t always go through The entire piece but just kind of peppered in here and there sometimes. Basically to add intrigue, an extra layer of sound. Plus he just also looked good on stage. 😊
Notice how Blixa has a guitar around his neck most of the time in the video, but doesn't play a single chord. I just love this man. He looks so very shady and awesome in this video.
Maybe the girl from Henry Lee is the same girl that was badass enough to kick Stagger Lee out into the ice and snow and told him to never come back no more.

When I understood the lyrics, the song appears to me as one of my favorite ever. A western, a movie in a song.
