@@JayPeezy I don’t want you to go too far out of your way, you have a life to live haha. Maybe the one per week is what makes them magic! Great content Jay 🤟
I was given this but l threw it out as l didn't find two neighbours calling each other names funny. Watching with you it's hilarious though, your laughter is infectious 😂. Happy Easier from UK
Oh that was ace! I thought he's going to see June dancing in the window with another man!🤣 It was of its time and when I look back now it seems so innocent compared to today. I don't watch TV at all so I really enjoy this. Thank you. Love to you and all on the channel ❤️☘️💚🫂🙏☀️
I was born in 1948 and grew up with these Programs and it did not make any one a Racist we knew it was a tv program and it is to bad that people today do not know the difference and why is it that the only people that keep taking about Racism are the people that want to get something out of it
Now then young man, stop knocking the Seventies! The Seventies were brilliant and most of my generation, who were young then, would go back in a heartbeat.
Jay, you seem to be reacting exactly as you and I/we should to these shows. >> Absolutely silly outrageous and funny. When they made these shows and Till Death Do Us Part as well as others, they were designed for the silly and stupid but get a comic reaction. Benny Hill was another! Sadly, in todays world, there are many that (simpletons) simply look at these from the negative aspect. The story here is no matter the racist biggot, Bill always gets the last dig and laugh! 👌🤣
Nina Baden Semper was gorgeous, where I lived there were lots of black people and we got on well together, I remember going to a funeral of a black person and they all took their jackets off to fill in the grave whilst swinging the old rugged cross, I'd never seen anything like that before, brilliant
I think the moment when Barbie cries shows what is wrong with the show. If she was just crying because her party was ruined that would be ok, but they made it seem as if Eddie's constant racism eating away at her is the underlying reason for her tears. This does not ring true as in every episode so far she has taken Booth's racism in her stride. The show likes to have its cake & eat it, turning racism into a joke whilst failing to confront the real life damage it does to people. I think the show is funny on face value but the idea that racism is just 'sticks & stones' that can be patched up over a drink is profoundly wrong. Millions have suffered & died due to the White Supremacist views of the Eddie Booth's of this World. I don't think Vince Powell took that on board when he was writing the show. Could the same show have been made with a Nazi sympathiser living next door to a Jewish couple with the guy using slurs like 'kike' & 'yid' & spouting every anti Jewish trope under the sun every episode? Not a chance.
7:45 ... this show came out just a few years after colour TV was invented in the UK ... and the signal was crap, so most of a show would be spent with somebody standing on one-leg on a desk, carrying the ariel rod, as they had found the only perfect spot where the signal would reach the fancy "colour" TV ... the "colour" problem ... Amazing to think that quality production values like this show were the norm (it still looks great today!), at a time when no TV was equipped to do it any kind of justice - if at all!
As a white middle aged Brit I'm embarrassed by this programme, although I do remember it from my childhood. Thankfully it's changed an awful lot since then. Grateful for your humour and not seemingly too upset by this RESPECT to you!
Have you noticed your language changing since watching this? Saying n*gn¥g, white boy or anything else from this?? So hard trying not to say certain things after watching this!
Thank goodness, needed a laugh tonight. Thanks again for your great sense of humour. 🇬🇧👍🤗
Peezy, so glad that you saw Love Thy Neighbour , and the message that it sent , to ALL ppl

7:54 we mostly had black and white tv so the signal through the aerial at the time did change the colour on colour TVs. If you could afford one .
Haha - this show is great! ... like "historically" great.
Every episode is full of laughs - like "Still Game" done 25-30 years earlier

"Diddy" David Hamilton on the TV (Now on Boom Radio GB)

Excuse me Jay we knew how to dance. Even me as a white lady
Why embarrassing dancing? This is what cool dancing was and us.
It not was like that Jay here. Maybe people came over here . We are a Welcome people. Never heard from black people telling me that
