      The state has not proven beyond reasonable doubt that she did it. How was the body moved? Only Scott could have moved his body. Just because she told Rusty he’s on the burn pile, isn’t evidence of guilt, she may have suspected Scott of the murder, saw Gary was on the burn pile, and didn’t know what to do… so she waited. Scott was already claiming everything for himself. Either way it would have implicated HER, which it did. Wish I was on that jury; I’m more strong willed than those pushovers; THERE IS NO WAY ALL OF THE JURY THOUGHT SHE WAS GUILTY! The THREE SIBLINGS TURNED ON AMANDA AND ESTRANGED FROM HER; she was the only responsible one who worked and supported herself.Everything Melody did for Martha, and Martha betrayed her. There was absolutely no evidence Melody took her missing gun… it shouldn’t have been admissible. Martha wanted her day of glory. It was all hearsay from others that wanted a free hand (three children) and Melody trying to reign it in. As long as her and Gary were married, she had legal rights to THEIR money. Melody reprimanded Gary for giving them money, and they resented Melody for that. Scott had the means and motive. Melody had neither; possibly motive, but not the means!

Further, she took Scott to the burn pile, denied the grandkids a sleepover on the night of the crime, told Rusty he's in the burn pile before he was even reported as missing..and way over-talked to police! And, said his body shouldn't have burned that badly! Whaaat?! 😳Sad story for all involved, even Melody. She had so much hatred for her husband...why not get a divorce? Yes, and when I thought there was going to be a hung jury or worse, I couldn't wrap my head around it. I, too, listened to the entire trial, and it was plain as day that this evil woman killed her husband. She was used to being kept and never intended to put forth any effort to contribute financially to this marriage by getting a career or job of her own, and when Gary was fed up with her shenanigans, she decided this was the only way to keep up the lifestyle she had become accustomed to.

      Yes, it was a heartfelt and eloquent speech. Gary's brother did him proud - they were clearly close siblings. What a terrible way to lose him.
      I believe it was only too obvious to family members who knew them well, that Melody had murdered Gary. Even her youngest daughter Amanda, who supported her mother, knew in her heart she had killed her father. I pray for her sake she faces the sad truth, as it will help her to heal and move on from this tragedy.
      How sad Gary didn't complete the divorce proceedings he launched against Melody years ago, it would have saved his life. With her usual deviousness, Melody locked herself in her bedroom for several days, so that Gary could not serve the divorce papers on her. She didn't love him, she just didn't want to lose her meal ticket.

    • @glamdolly30
      @glamdolly30 16 днів тому

      @@pertreniaguidry4997 Exactly right, there was a ton of evidence Melody is the killer. She was the only one with a motive for a start - a $4.5 million dollar motive to be precise! She was also the only one at the house with the victim that day - it's plainly obvious she did it.
      She was small, but she was not disabled - quite the opposite, she was strong and fit from regular gym workouts. She had the best farm vehicles, tools and plenty of time to get his body onto that fire. She's smart, she worked it out. Adrenaline and determination not to get caught are also great motivators! It was pretty pathetic the defence's best argument was that she supposedly couldn't have moved his body - of course she could!
      She murdered Gary out of malice and sheer greed. A 50-50 split of assets in a divorce wasn't good enough for her. She wanted ALL her husband's estate to fund a new life with lover Rusty, and she was ruthless enough to kill him to get it. She even tried to frame her own son for the murder she committed. She's utterly despicable, and it's fitting she will die in a cage like the animal she is!
      It was clear Gary was deeply loved by all four of his children, as their genuine emotion on the stand confirmed. My heart goes out to them. He can rest easy now, knowing justice has been served. I hope they will rebuild happy lives for themselves, as their dad would want.

Having grown children doesn't mean you don't step in to help when needed. Thank God my parents weren't like you. Melody also had an affair with Rusty which lasted for years and flaunted Rusty in Gary's face. There is something very wrong with a wife who throws plates and breaks them because her husband dared to leave a plate or Mountain Dew can in the theater room. That shows rage and anger not in a normal person's behavior. Melody could have divorced Gary at any time but instead chose to take his very life and make it appear to be an accident so she could collect more money from his life insurance. Had she not secretly taken out the $50,000 HELOC without Gary's knowledge she still would have been on Gary's checking account. This was not about the children. This was about a woman whose mindset was there was never enough money for her. The depraved mind necessary to kill another human being and burn his body like trash is incomprehensible to anyone who is not a sociopath.

She warned him that she'd shoot him if he didn't stop; he kept going, got to the burn pile, she shot him again & he fell into the burn pit. I'm surprised that all of the 'experts' don't take that position. It easily could have happened that way. No one thinks that Melody literally lifted Gary up, carried him to the burn pit then shot him & he fell into the burn pit. Use your heads, people.

She made sure she put her hands on everything, even doing it on a night there would be fireworks. She used her grandchildren as an alibi, and then threw her own children under the bus the moment the suspicion was falling towards her. There are many ways to move a heavy object. Watching from the UK. I watched the whole trial and I’m shocked at this verdict. I think there was enough reasonable doubt. May they all find peace.

    Things that can’t be explained away: Gary’s phone moving after he was dead and Scott wasn’t there, charging her secret phone bill to Gary’s card for the first time ever, saying to Rusty he’s on the burn pile (if it wasn’t said before he was found why would Rusty say “don’t tell me anything else” or something to that effect, and why she lied. She is guilty.

      What Rusty said is hearsay.
      Could totally be alive, or out of context
      Scott hit his father by the fire and pull him while still alive placed a bullet from his practices in the father’s room before pulling him to the fire, and placed another bullet in the basement
      There is plenty of room for doubt and these verdict was a travesty! I can see the appeal already

    I bet none of those Court TV talking heads accusing the son of the murder for money have any idea how much work a small farm is, for one person, it's brutal. Farm workers responsible for the entire farm get paid at least $55,000 per year in Georgia, and I bet the son wasn't getting half of that. Melody keeps looking at the cameras, wonder if she had a line into the press.

      He’s an mature, mentally underdeveloped man who only goofed around and loved and did chores when he was forced, most of the time he displayed around with his friends… He built nothing for himself, didn’t study, build career, didn’t even leave the army with any kind of honors, didn’t build any business with a help of his dad or to make that ranch profitable… Both sons are losers!

    Why does everyone forget that Melody told Rusty at 2 am on the 4th that Gary was on the burn pile?.way before anyone else knew he was dead

    • @maluribeiro68
      @maluribeiro68 17 днів тому

      That’s hearsay
      Could be a lie, and could be out of context, he went back on the statement in terms of date
      He might have been just trying to protect himself and threw her under the bus
      Melody might have noticed that something was going on, she may have noticed something happened, and that was missing earlier, but was too afraid to say anything or call 911,
      There is plenty of doubt and plenty of more possible scenarios than the one pushed by the prosecution!

      @@maluribeiro68You OBVIOUSLY did not watch the entire trial. If so, you would clearly understand that it was physically impossible for Scott to commit the crime -- PERIOD! The only reason Scott showed up late at night from Lake Lanier (a 50 minute drive and then headed back 4.5 hours later) was because Melody -- who lied to investigators a documented 18 times in her initial 2 interrogations (as in WHY?) -- called him and said he needed to come home because the horses were out! However, when he got there, the horses were fine. So, if Gary were alive then, why didn't she ask him to help get them rounded up? hmmm?
      No, Melody needed Scott to be there in order to blame her own son for killing his father. And BTW, Scott and Melody's cell phone records confirm the call and Scott's location and travel time via GPS. Yet, Melody lied to investigators in saying she went to bed at 8:30 PM that night and called no one after that. She didn't mention the call to Scott on her regular phone three hours later or calling Rusty on a burner phone (thinking it couldn't be traced) at 2:30 AM telling him "Gary is on the burn pile" -- again, confirmed by cell phone records.
      And, after that, she called Rusty two more times in the wee hours. Of note, that was the only late night phone calls between them (after checking two burners and her regular phone) since they started their affair 3 years earlier. She even added minutes to the burner phone using Gary's credit card because she knew he was dead and there was no need to hide the charges which he would have noticed if alive.
      Sadly, you sound EXACTLY like Melody and THANKFULLY are in the VERY EXTREME MINORITY! So, give it a rest lady! Nothing you think, post, say or attempt to rationalize in some sort of obsessive conspiracy theory delusion (reference your numerous posts here) means nothing! Justice was served! PERIOD! The fact that all four kids were given a lot by their father means absolutely nothing. Lots of rich parents do the same and it's nothing new! Get a grip!

      @@maluribeiro68And BTW, Rusty told investigators what she SAID TO HIM on that 2:30 AM phone call. As such, that IS NOT HEARSAY. It would be hearsay if someone told Rusty about something she said. But, that was not the case here! Is that so hard to understand?
