Personally, I would have swapped out Knuckles for Amy seeing that this is technically a Sonic 2 prototype, and the original game and CD were said to be developed at the same time.
I really need to be honest, no hate to the creators ofc, but honestly this isnt really as good as people say, some parts feel lacking and rushed, specially some of the bgs and forgrounds, it looks like that after emerald hill they got lazy. like im really sorry but the whole bg and fg change in the knuckles secret ending looks so bad, same thing with the cloud animations in the eggman zone (this one can be excused since it is a lost prototype). I think tails' had potential to have an better design then the one we saw, they could have messed more with it tbh, this isnt a hate comment by any means if your wondering, just wanting to share my opinion, sorry if I sounded rude.

They worked in 8 by 8 TILES, not huge 256 by 256 chunks. - There’s no parallax scrolling - Samples took up a huge amount of memory. There’s a 3 second long sample. That would’ve meant only a seventh of memory was left. Let’s count up all the samples in the game.. more closer to 40% actual data. - Why would there be a huge effort on blood if it’s just a 1991 prototype? STI! DAMN YOU! - Why the same repeated chunks? - Aquatic Ruins zone? That didn’t exist yet. You could use something like Olympus or Emerald Isle as a replacement. - What’s with the fucked up zone music? Shouldn’t it be perfectly normal? (Now that I think about it, it should be closer to Masa’s demo.) - Again, with the low effort chunks placement. This is starting to make me suspect this wasn’t made with a Genesis. oh well - DANG THAT LAUGH! THERE’S ONLY A SMALL FRACTION OF MEMORY LEFT AHHHH - Screens don’t glitch like that. This is an extremely interesting concept, and very well made at that! With some reworked sprites, better design choices, and maybe a few less platforming sections, this could really take off! Excited to see what comes of this game

Theory: This game shows the chronology of the events of the murders in 1991. Dima (presumably) left himself and decided to kill his homies (PRESUMABLY!!!). First, he hanged Charles (for unknown reasons), then dismembered James's body into pieces, and then killed a witness named Matthew. Whoever made this game is, in fact, a religious witness to this asshole and at the same time, a skilled game developer. I hope this witness was not killed by this maniac and that He has already been jailed for life.
