The answer was carefully crafted. 'Enough space for a regular player' doesn't necessarily exclude more space for a paying player.
If that wasn't the plan, why even put that question in the survey in the first place?
That is assuming a random reddit "leak" was legitimate.
There’s no proof the leaks are authentic, and looks like they aren’t.
Because that's what sales & marketing team does. Devs don't create those. What's been leaked is whatever brings money, but implementing it would lie on the devs team, board and of course, us

So what they're saying is the DEVELOPERS who program the game have NO PLANS to include pay for power scenarios. However, just the existence of the poll proves that an EXECUTIVE at Blizzard has those DESIRES to add them to bring in more money. Because they're right. People (who I hate) would pay for it. So while the Devs have no plans or intentions or desires to bring something like that into the game, their bosses have different priorities. Guess who makes the bigger decisions, the Dev or the Executive at Blizzard? It's only a matter of time...

He didn't say they weren't going to sell stash space or early access uniques, so I'm not sure this addressed anything? They could just declare that "most players" have enough so what they sell is extra. And we've already seen how game companies have stupid definitions for what is and isn't "pay for power."

@@VicJang Nah, because if he really meant that they will never sell stash space for money he would have said so explicitly as trusting them even then is frankly a lot to ask for some of us.
It is quite fair to assume that any ambiguity left about stash space being bought for money, and their roundabout way of addressing it instead as "pay for power" (stash space =/= power, not by a long shot, it's always classified as convenience as industry standard) such as demonstrated here is deliberate.
Not to mention the fact that if selling of stash space ever happens in future that would open a whole another can of worms, like the fact that they were lying about reasons for initial very limited stash space being due to game having to load everyone else's stash.
It wouldn't be the first or last time we were straight up lied to on one of Blizzard panels either. These are the people that at some point claimed they can no longer recreate vanilla WoW as they don't posses its code anymore.

Well Well Well here we have again old Blizzard saying they won't bring "pay for power" in one of their games.... but wait, what is pay for "power"?
Also: what is a "regular" player? Does it means we will have "premium" players?
Stash space selling is coming - remember, stash isn't "power", is QoL.
Pick up loot pets are coming - remember, pick up loot pets aren't "power", they are QoL (if they don't make the Diablo:Imor(t)al move on this one).
More Shop itens are coming - remember, we need to keep milking the players even if we are charging top prices for an B game.
And Blizzard is just going D3: Abattoir of Zir is just a fancy Rift. It won't fix the bad one shot mechanics, won't fix horrible basic-core mechanic and it will just keep the old "build of the season" mentality.
PS: nowhere they denied that they had those surveys, just don't worry about them... for now.

@@patrickbaklava7297 that I agree with. But instead of constantly worrying and dreading the day that happens, live and enjoy instead. We shouldn't need to have monthly reminders...though...Act/Blizz....which is also why I get it. It's understandable but a sucky way to live. Deal with it when it happens. It's not like they don't know the consumers opinion.
The leaks were confirmed to be legit by an employee prior to this. This is just damage control. I guarantee you 100% p2w will be implemented. Just watch and see. time will prove me right. Not to mention the expansion being 90 dollars is already fucking ridiculous@@LoyalToTheMicrobes
Bruh. You paid? Literally ever blizzard game is pay to win except overwatch (for now) pretty sure they said these exact words for ever. Immortal is NOT a separate entity. Even fkin COD is pay to win why on earth would you expect anything else? Why does it always have to end with "we told you so"? It's just a matter of time. Maybe not yet. These and other developers would probably not want it to become pay to win obviously. But they have bosses.

Man, gamers are becoming whinier every day. In a decade or less, every game is gonna be hated for the slightest imperfection.
They're paying customers, they can expect whatever they want. Especially considering the competition out there and how some of these AAA publishers are being intentionally burned to the ground.
