I love Dino Jr. because they plaay like they don't give a fuck, but they actually give lots of fucks. And it's freakin cool.
The perfect summary of Dinosaur Jr.
thats a great way to live
One of their greatest traits, I’ve gone to Dino shows where they sound out of tune a bit..J has so many effects going to seems mindless..but their is a genius behind it all!
It was cool of Axel to sing with them.
Yeah, that has to be Lou shrieking. J couldn't really scream.
Dinosaur Jr piss all over guns n roses.
Metaphorically... otherwide, eww...but yup... eww
GnR aren't even on the same planet as Dinosaur. GOD gnr SUCK!
Better than the original.
Axl sounds really good here.
i love dino jr and gnr both for sure, and i think this cover is mindblowing
somewhere between Black Metal vocals and awesome guitar playing from J Mascis
The music is a little off but the vocal nails it.
Great cover. They made it their own.
J is a better guitar player then Slash and Buckethead
Can sing better than Axl too.
I wouldn’t go that far n say better than Buckethead, but J is definitely a badass guitarist in his own right.
@@cinemapuke3515 No one else sounds like J though and his solos are unique and very impressive to people.
@@jasonclark9963 absolutely correct, as a huge J fan,, any time he’s contributed a solo to a song, I know it’s him immediately…he just doesn’t play the standard bluesy kinda solos many guitarists do
both j and slash loved mick taylor's playing, maybe thats why j can sympathise with this tune so well. one things for sure, j didn't like talking between songs but also hated when lou tried to fill the gaps. his response is usually to launch into some sort of violent tunefulness just to shut him up
i put a thousand dollars that jmascis outplays slash anyday.
J would win I think but, it be interesting to see.
J would win I think but, it be interesting to see.
J would win I think but, it be interesting to see.
For sure but the game would be worth to see (sorry if that's incorrect english is not my first)
NO QUESTION
Why am I just now hearing this!
I love how J just does not give a fuck at first, screwing up a lot of the intro and sleeps through the verse, but as soon as the solo comes up he just destroys it for the rest of the song...
I didn't know Yoko was in Dinosaur jr.
Me either but it makes good sense
Whoa, screamingly good 👍. Who tf was singing JMascis? Got dang!
@@Vginoda I think it was lou barlow singing, he had the more punk/scream-o vocals up his sleeve for sure
ha ha! funny :)
Next time I do Sweet Child on kareoke, I'm goin with this version
Just gonna lie down on the floor screeching WHERE DO WE GO??? at as high a pitch I can (cat fight level), for six and a half minutes. Its gonna be great.
Best. Cover. Ever.
Saw djr in '88 ..
my ears are still bleeding.
Man, this is the coolest cover ever.
"get a fucking job hippie"
Actually Murph was with the Band until 1993, not 1991. He played on 3 songs on "Green Mind" and most of "Where You Been". He appears in all live & promo videos of that time.
And then he joined The Lemonheads and played drums on their 1996 album Car Button Cloth
man, that solo set me on fire!
Best version ever.
Perfect cover!! Great!!!
Second to none.... J Mascis is top shelf
thanks for the pop ups... its like pop up video but with songs and artista i like
j's tone's awesome
better than the original
Better than the original
Floating Boy 100% bub.
Nahhhh
By far.
If you're deaf.
Real
They sound like they completely taught themselves to play using homemade instruments and old stereo speakers.
They did
Great Axl imitation. 😂
didn't know the wicked witch of the west was into GNR
oh my god....love it
it sounds really better than the original xD
Man, this is a trip~!
This is great
Both are good for different reasons
LOL i love this!
This is the best thing I've ever heard.
Had a recording from 2005 where our high school band covered 'When I Come Around' by Green Day with the same energy and disdain. Wish I still had it because it was the funniest shit and was super fun to sing.
It sounds better than Guns and roses.
Not hard
much better than the original in my opinion
I didnt know they slaughtered pigs at their concerts ^_^
They were just having fun. Hell they made a peter frampton song sound half decent.
What song are they doing at 0:20. It sounds extremely familiar. I know it's of another band, but can't put my finger on it.
I fucking love this!!!
definitely.
0:25 through 0:30 sounds like the Floods outro from Pantera lol
is Lou are the one on vocal?
who is singing here? must be young lou im guessing im hearing some don't tones
@lynus111 Lou got kicked out of the band after the tour to support Bug in 1989. I think Donna Dresch was their transitional bassist for the pretty brief period between him and Mike. But this recording is from late 88 anyways, Lou was still in the band.
This is off of the J, Lou, Murph, tape. Listen to all the Boston scenesters, who were inevitably scary as fuck yelling at them.
btw, Murph played drums in hardcore band All White Jury, also of western MA.
I like this version
SOunds like he tore a vocal chord that nite
Lou's lucky J didn't stop the show and kick him out of the band right there and then.
He did
dino shreds ;)
Gun's shit, dinossaur Jr Master!
Wondering how many musicians wished they had been the one.
haha lou is good at sabotage, isnt he?
i know they sarcasm, but COOL parody cover i ever heard
ok but who gave silencer the mic
Hell yeah
Is the Loobie shrieking the lyrics out? It must be...
I couldn’t tell the difference between the Guns N’ Roses version and this one. Are you sure it’s dinosaur jr?
either that or a pig being stuck was featured
no, it's Megan Jasper, who now runs SubPop.
does anyone know what the begining song was? like at 00:13
AppleFaction definately not a Dinosaur Jr song.
GG all in from hell approve it !
haha he's about small enough there.
im real life J is a beast. Hes over 6' tall!
what year was that?
beyond was actually released in may 2007
Where did this come from?
best version of this shit song ever
@dinosaurjr420 Sweet. I was at the one from '87
@vshgvsakj who was it?
how do you know this is dinosaur jr?
The definitive version!
haha wow
dino jr is my favorite band. Id say they give a fuck to be honest. I get the impression J gives quite a few fucks.. and I know Lou does. I dont think they would have endured all the band problems they did and still be going today if they didnt. diggin lous screamin
@lynus111 I'm pretty sure that's Lou at the beginning
@mattymay88 I was genuinely about to write that exact comment.
Oh come on! That's not fair!
@gopaul1000
why?
2:29 can i buy him?
Sounds like the demo of “Telepathic Surgery “ Nice but I think they should let vocalist leave, Pretty sure they don’t want to be there
thats Lou 'singing'
is that a random person screaming in the crowd throughout the the song or is that the singer?
its Loud screaming for sure
yeah, it was from freesofree actually.
hows it goin blake? (im weezerfreak942)
R2d2
lol
really? i dont think he was around at all for Where You Been.
i love it. it was bullshit when the bull passed it out of axle s' lips himself. this is at least an amazing band playing corporate jokes on a mime band. long live dinosaur jr!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THats a clone theory not the wah
I fuckin hate this song but this version I can dig.
Its creepy
guns n roses should feel honoured :)
Mascis a Slash se lo coge de parado !!
Kurt Cobain committed suicide after obtaining a bootleg of this performance. It blew his mind. Literally.
I dont blame him im thinking the same after listening to this
is this meant to be an insult to g and r? or pop songs for that matter? i dont know i find it alot cooler than the original
@dinosaurjr420 :) erinnn
