2:22 - the lung 6:55 - cant we move this 10:50 - never bought it 15:45 - out there 21:25 - just like heaven 24:26 - feel the pain 29:02 - freak scene 32:19 - the wagon 37:08 - alone
It’s been twelve years since I first heard Dinosaur Jr. I still have yet to hear anything quite like them. Definitely one of the most unique flavors ever! Sad, punky, twangy, fuzzy and noisy. Truly the whole fucking package years ahead of their time if you ask me.
This is the best audio I've heard from this era and it's the performances included on the reissue release. The band is tight and energy high. This is Jay in his prime, From here till 2002 with the Fog.
A lot has been said about the guitar player. What really sets this era apart for J as a performer is his outstanding sense of TIME. The delivery of the lyrics balances so beautifully against the drums. ps. o big a tree plug for the uploads on my channel of more master recordings of dinosaur shows and more.
I saw this lineup in 97 - a club in Montreal - maybe 98? - Great show powerful- blown amps etc and kept rocking - Love J - I always thought Mike J had a great rock star vibe and was a cool fit for J. Love Dinosaur- but to be honest / my fave Dinosaur stuff is - aside from ‘living all over me’ is the stuff from Green Mind to Without a Sound- Love his Tele tone on Never Bought It here
lmao the audience looks so bored but the songs are so deeply personal to me, like a sea of people who watch me confess my pain and then they collectively shrug
@@trashbirdie I'm not sure, I've tried to find out what it was but couldn't find anything. if i had to guess, it's probably either a band logo or a now defunct 90s skate brand logo.

J Mascis might be God. I found him in 1992 when I was 14 years old. ❤
F, I've always been kind of an original lineup purist, but this is one the best live sets of theirs I've seen
Never trust a wireless microphone...or a hippy.
Great NOFX album
just play guitar
Absolutely no hippy
alone's guitar solo made me cry

Dude, I mean the live performance not the specific the song . I love dinosaur jr and would never judge his themes
So incredibly intense, as always.
This was the era when J saved all his energy for guitar solos. 🎸

Wow J took out a telecaster!!
It’s the guitar he records with
J took out THE telecaster. His original ‘58. That must have been nerve wracking. Haha.
Oof, wireless mic issues ruined what could’ve been an amazing live album
I love j mascis
Thank you!
21:39 did I just hear J Mascis fuck up the intro for Just like Heaven? Now that's something you don't see very often :)

what's worng with the bass player? Technical problems? Broke up with his girlfriend? Dude was definitely not having it
Mike Johnson was never a very entertaining player when he was with dinosaur, he rarely ever actually said anything into the mic.
Wow ! 5 minutes in and I've had enough.
bye bye poser
German crowds are so messed
Das waren nicht Dinosaur Jr. Nur echt mit Lou & Murph!
