Love the passion you get across when speaking about Opal and your Dad, I think it's awesome you have incorporated his Zippo into the new workshop.....which I think is great btw! Thanks as always for sharing with us Justin ✌️💜
It's always a pleasure to watch you cut and polish these gems. What I love even more are the times you reminisce about your dad and the legacy he passed on to you. It really helps me remember those special times I had with my father before he passed. Great stuff
I like the legs on the table. They fit right in with the room. I love to watch you cut opal! Super entertaining and you are so skilled. Pluse you make me smile 💕😊
I know you don't need my validation, but I'm coming in 🤣 I want to say I love the contemporary style and elegance of your new workshop! The table is a masterpiece of design and storytelling merged - including the legs! Love your videos. Thank you for sharing your passion with us 🧡
Omg that stone turned out gorgeous, I always love when u say “I’m going in” and then we get to see all the beautiful color. And the part reflection is always nice ❤❤
I used to be really into your vids a while back, then took a little hiatus from the socials. Watching you now I can say that you, sir, are REALLY getting the hang of content creation. Kudos, mate! Major improvements
I cannot say I only watch the stonecutting, the antics are fantastic! The table legs are perfect, the new office is perfect. Keep doing what you are doing!
Appreciate your channel so much! Loved Opals for so long. When i was 14, went to Australia and remember going to a musuem/store that had so many Opals; i was overwhelmed with joy. To be able to relive that feeling, with each one you cut, is very special.
That turned into just a beautiful gem! 😍 I have to admit that I was secretly thinking that wooden legs would have really made that table. But I didn't say anything because you loved it so much the way it was. And it works for you which is really the most important thing. You are one of a kind Justin. Thank you for everything you do for us! 👍💯✌🇨🇦😎🇺🇦❤
No turning back: I love what you have done with the new workshop/studio. I've been watching your videos for a year or two, and have tracked the continuous improvements you have made - to the filming, the lighting, the sound, and particularly the editing. Fantastic!
That table is gorgeous as is that opal you just polished! I see you still have your sense of humor and that's what I love! I'll never be able to afford an opal but it sure is fun watching you take a rough stone and make it beautiful!
Wow, I love the video!! I can see how much work your team put in this one. Turned out very well! Videocutting, Audio and everything was nice 👌. Absolutely felt the "deep talk" about the thought of creating something awesome that stays for a long time! Thanks for the great inspiration! 🙏
I love the new workshop brother. Not sure who'd complain about that. Looks great. Love the table as well, regardless of the legs. It suits your purpose perfectly and that's all that matters. Excellent content Justin.
I love your channel. You have such a natural and friendly personality that make the videos fun, calming, funny, and touching. I love hearing about your dad and your love of what you do. You're honoring the life lessons he passed on to you and you are so very generously inviting us into the family in a way by allowing us to experience moments of discovery and reflection with you. I could watch others cut stones but you teach us, encourage us, and inspire us, not just in opals and stones but in life as well. Thank you for it all. I am grateful to be subscribed to your channel.
Hey Justin, First of all, that stone turned out absolutely spectacular.. truly a beautiful piece. I've only been following you for about a year and a half now and I think the new shop is also beautiful. That being said, I'm sure it will grow on me but the old shop was just as much a part of us, as it is of you and coming to see you everyday or every other day, in your old shop was like coming to visit an old friend in a very familiar, safe, inviting environment. With the old shop gone, it definitely takes away from coming to see you... but that's just one person's opinion from New Hampshire, USA. Love ya Justin
I love the depth of color layers on that. The stones that have that 3d effect like you're looking into a nebula are my favorite regardless of the colors.
That was beautiful Justin, the stone is gorgeous, certainly one I would like to own. Your skill in removing the sand and turning it into a fabulous gem is awesome, well done.
That Opal turned out great! I’m glad you mentioned the table because my initial thought was also that it should have wood legs but your explanation makes perfect sense. And honestly, the black legs keep the focus of the tabletop itself. Very cool about you using your dad’s zippo now, keep his memory alive every time you cut a stone. Take care!
Wow what a cracker of a table u made love it and the story behind it makes it all the more special.and a fantastic opal u crafted what a special gift to have xx
I was thinking about what makes this channel the success it is,and I think for me it is the way that just like you remove the layers and layers of sand and rock to reveal something beautiful, you also while your cutting and polishing reveal layers about you Justin, and your not afraid to do it,and lucky for us watching ,what you reveal is just as intriguing and beautiful as the stones your cutting,
You know the way you talk about your dad help me appreciate mine so much more your videos are amazing I bought my first rough stone the other day on eBay
It really turned out larger than I would have thought, but the masters touch won out. It is a beautiful stone. Really bright and a pleasing shape. I don't care what kind of legs the table has, I don't think I can get past looking at the top. The new digs are great. Keep the goodness coming. Be happy, safe and stay healthy 😷⚒
You are pulling the beauty out of a rough stone and sharing it with us. I love that table (I need to go back and watch some of the videos I've missed). I appreciate your skill and your knowledge and your humor too.
Your lighter is awesome .priceless sentimental value. thank you for everything you taught me . On your show . About opal and cutting it .thanks Christopher
Love the new set! I'm glad to see your channel growing like it deserves. I'd love to meet you the next time you are in Tucson for TGS, I can show you and your wife some of the hidden gems of our city (unfortunately not black Opals).
Hi Justin, I had to laugh as you scrambled around the floor looking for that lovely stone! I have done that too, in my hand, lovingly appreciated and pop! Omg gone…lol, ok, down on old knees, bad lighting done here, oh and dog hair, of course. How could it have travelled across the room and under that chair! Ah….found, phew! Lovely stone to watch you uncover, thanks again.
Lovely gem Justin. Enjoyed the video and agree the legs are right for what you need now and you can easily change them for when it becomes a centrepiece in your home (maybe).
Wow what a beautiful stone that became. Really love your new digs keep up the great work. I really enjoy your UA-cam channel. I look forward to every new offering. My Best to you and your family.
I thought this one was not going to cut to be much of a gem, what was I thinking!. Put Justin the master to it and boom!, a ripper of a beautiful gem. This gem is stunning Justin, loved watching its birth. Thank you Black Opal Direct for another great video. Love the studio and the table is brilliant Justin, original, tells a story and the legs look great on it too. Until next week.....
I always like to TRY (LOL) to guess the proper way to cut the opal, which way it should face, etc... This one was difficult to judge but you made it look easy. Absolutely beautiful!!!
A few things. I watch to learn and see if I can guess your next grind and angle of attack. So far I’m a bout 20% right 😂 The table looks amazing and the legs are perfect for it. It’s the small things that makes us who we are and what is important to us. Zippos are great but dry out quickly. Love the new workshop. So modern. Thanks for picking us up to go on this journey with you. Not sure on your music selection but it’ll do for now 😂
As a maker of jewlery i get what you mean by the story, also knowing that someone else out there likes what you do is also a good feeling. Keep up the awesome work !!!!!!
It is always great to feel your work appreciated I do not do jewels or jewelry although I love to watch however I do custom work in homes from tile to Stone paint complete remodel etc and appreciation for hard work makes it very satisfying
Beautiful! Just last month I finished a .7 carat crystal opal all by hand. I'm having a silversmith making a ring setting for my wife for our upcoming 45th anniversary. Next one is a beautiful Mexican fire opal encased in a VERY hard matrix.

Thank you James wow since the beginning that’s amazing 🙏🙏🙏 I made a pact with myself to never let money or anything else change me. I have seen it happen too often. Humble is the best way.
@@blackopaldirect you truly have a pure heart and passion for what you do. Here's a quote I like don't know if its from my mind or I read it somewhere. :) " What makes a master of anything, is knowing nothing is done without mistakes, take joy in mistakes, for they are teachers of greatness and guides to becoming a humble person" thought you'd like it i have it written on my wall next to the coffee machine. I like the legs on the table. They fit right in with the room. I love to watch you cut opal! Super entertaining and you are so skilled. Pluse you make me smile 💕😊

Love you videos, commenting while ads play.
Thanks for teaching, sharing opals, and bringing people like me to really love them✨💖✨
I find the process hypnotic. Very relaxing and fascinating seeing an opal gem come to life!
The old workshop had history and atmosphere. The new workshop is cool and the video and sound are first class.
Thanks James
BEAUTIFUL!!! Opals are the most beautiful gems, so many different types, the various colors…. Nothing else compares!!
That table is gorgeous as is that opal you just polished! I see you still have your sense of humor and that's what I love! I'll never be able to afford an opal but it sure is fun watching you take a rough stone and make it beautiful!

Table is the perfect blend of function and form, beautiful top, and great fit for the studio.
As soon as I saw it, I knew it! One of my favorites! Rainy and cold 🥶 late in the season today. Great shop! You're inspiring!
Thank you David
I watch your videos with my 10 year old grandson. We both love the process. Great time watching you and hanging out together!
Beaut stone Jason and I especially love your new table. Gorgeous - just lovely with the dark wood rings and the opal pieces. Epic design! :-)

I love the new workshop, I love the colour and the workable clean area.
The only thing that’s permanent is change. Thank you for your wise words, regarding cutting but even more about your view of life!

Awesome job! So glad to finally see a good stone after so many lost to sands coming through...which really makes it a good watch.
That Opal turned out great! I’m glad you mentioned the table because my initial thought was also that it should have wood legs but your explanation makes perfect sense. And honestly, the black legs keep the focus of the tabletop itself.
