Thank you for this tutorial and the plans. I purchased the plans as I wanted one of these for my miter saw. Asked my dad if he wanted to do a project with me (it’s just something we do together). Ofcourse he said yes. Showed him your video and he said he wanted one too. So we made one for myself and him. Ty so much for sharing. It was a good father daughter project.

Love this. The only thing I would change is to pre drill the holes in the legs to help pull the legs and frames together.

very nice design - simple and effective - one comment: need adjustment of the shelves height to the mitre saw level

I used your design and it came out pretty good. The only problem is something you alluded to in the video. The 12" brackets aren't, at least in my case, strong enough. After about two weeks they started bending. But your one of the few people on line who isnt trying to rip people off and I commend you for it.

Love it! Something even a novice like me can make that will be very useful. The only change I'll make is to put a backstop behind the miter area so I can push the saw all the way back and not worry about it sliding off (because I am prone to do stupid things like that....).

I've been looking at miter saw stands on YT for months. I finally decided on yours for it's simplicity. I need to just go ahead and get this made. It'll allow me to start to tackle so many more of the projects I want to do. I bought the lumber & Cut List plans from your website. Very well organized! Can't wait to start. Thank you!

i built it yesterday and today. i'm a newby and i learned alot. in the army we had a saying "beat to fit" the hinges were beat to fit. they work perfectly. i turned the table on it;s side to install the hinges. thot it was easier drilling straight down than sideways. gonna build another one for my son in law. thx for your help. keep the videos coming.

I just want to say how awesome and how informative this was for me, am trying to get into wood working and been thinking about how to build a minor saw table, after watching numerous videos I concluded that yours was the easiest and most effective, I wish I can send you a picture, I followed everything you said and I cannot be more happier with this table

Great video. Took a look at her website, as well - informative. Decided to build this since it resolved some issues I currently deal with. I bought the cut list and plans. At $2.99 that was well worth it, plus it felt right to reward Tylinn for her efforts even if it’s a small amount. Trickiest part was getting the height of the wings to match the saw height. That’s easy enough to calculate but life isn’t as accurate as that. Saving grace was being able to shim the saw when mounting it in place. Used the completed project for the first time today. Worked great, and the wings provide me with much needed working space. I don’t have a workshop - just a garage. So, having eight more square feet of horizontal workspace was fantastic.

Just got done building it.Due to the high cost of two by fours right now I used to by threes. I’m sure it’s strong enough. I also use the Craig jig for the but joints with glue. For the brackets are used lag bolts.

Just finished making this. Bought your plan. Figured it left fewer opportunities for me to make mistakes. I also bought the casters and brackets you listed. My only problems came from the lousy 2x4s from Home Depot. Too much cupping and twist. Made it hard to get things really square and flat. I thought mounting the brackets would be the hardest part but that went quite well. I'm very pleased with the result. Thanks for a great video. David Mihalic

Hi David. I am fairly new to serious woodworking and I agree that the wood at Home Depot and other big box stores can be marginal at best. I am currently in the process of building this miter saw stand. I have learned from Steve Ramsey (UA-cam) and others is that you have to weed through wood carefully to find the right boards. When I was looking through 2X4's at Lowes for this project, i had to go look through 2 to 4 pieces to find every good (straight) piece of lumber.

Great project. To lighten the load, the wings could be narrower. Made a little bit wider than the cut platform of the saw. Of course this would require an additional brace on each side. I hope to be tackling this project in the next few weeks.

Hi Ty-Lynn. Thank you for posting your video and plans for the Miter Saw Stand. It was an enjoyable 2-day project for me. Probably the most difficult part for me was aligning the brackets properly. In fact, one side still does not go down all the way and I will tackle it in the future when I am thinking more clearly. I modified some plan procedures a bit. I used pocket holes to assemble the center frame, mainly because I had a pocket hole jig and felt like testing it out. I drilled 2 pocket holes in the ends of each 21 inch 2X4. I then glued the frames together from Step 1 and Step 2. After waiting 24 hours, I screwed the pocket holes into each drilled hole. I also glued all 4 tops to the frames instead of screwing them in. I used the same wheels that you recommended but upgraded to a more heavy duty bracket since I was seeing sagging issues mentioned in some fan comments. The brackets I purchased are 14 inches long and are rated to hold 660 lbs. Finally, my biggest concern was to adjust the brackets so tops of each side would align perfectly with my miter saw top. I measured, and then measured again and it aligns PERFECTLY. Thank again. Up next - Your table saw plans.

What a cool channel - and website! Just found you while hunting for a mobile miter saw table. Modified the measurements some to make it fit through the narrow opening between car and garage door so I can finally saw outside without having to move the car out every time. It will save time in setting things up for a project, and instead of carrying my miter saw out, stress on the old back, I can simply roll it and save on ibuprofen :-) Thank you!

I bought a cheapie Ryobi miter saw and first thing I built was this table. Helps a lot with working on a proper area than to lug the thing around and struggling. Your table looks well designed, just w word of caution, when you built the initial frame clamp the sides before drilling and screwing things together, because your end result was your table was wobbly - wood working is all about the 45 and 90 deg accuracy. Overall it looks pretty good you will have much joy working with it.

Built this stand this past weekend. Used 3/4 plywood and some elbow grease to sand it smooth. I'm 6'3" so I made the legs longer in my case (36"). It puts the top of the table right a waist hight.
