Ahoms had only one night to built this barriers nd lachit strictly ordered to his uncle that all workers built walls hurry within a night. But his uncle slept midnight nd lachit saw him nd said this epic line 'dekhot koi momai dangor nohoi' nd cut his uncles head. No-one greater than our country, joi aai axom said lachit

Sir another Assamese great Inventor of Assam SIR GURU PRASAD DAS . His great invention was Vacuum Brake of Moder rial orders. He invented Vacuum Brake in 1930 and introduced in moder rail orders. He was honoured highest British Civilian Award the " KNIGHT" .. and as a honour to his invention the brake was nomenclatured as GP BRAKE . But still he has been remaining as unsung . Nobody in mian land of India knows his great invention . Even still after independence of 75 years (we celebrating Azadi ki mohotsav) his birth town Borpeta town has been remaining unconnected . I DOUBT WHETHER OUR PRESENT RAIL MINISTER KNOWS HIM OR NOT. I hope next vid on this greta inventor .

There Is one more fact about Lachit Borphukan,At the night when Lachit was building the wall in the Saraighat valley the Mughals Were knocking The door.... Lachit was very sick that night so he made his Mama(mother's brother) the duty to build the wall....... At midnight Lachit's mama saw that all the soldiers(5000 soldiers) were exhausted making the wall , Lachit's mama decided to give some rest to the soldiers.....when sick Lachit saw that every soldiers were resting he got very angry... And with his sword Lachit Killed his own mama and claimed 'Dekhat koi momai dangor nohoi'which means 'Mama is not greater than the whole kingdom'.....You can Browse a little on it..... Perhaps one of the Greatest Field commender of all time and this battle need to be highlighted properly in history. Indian history is not all about Babur, Humayun, jahangir Aurangazeb Khilji.....
One more story added is that a night before the battle of Saraighat, Lachit assigned the task of building an earthern wall for fortification to his uncle. As a strategy that he devised for the war next day, the fort wall needed to be completed before sunrise. To his utter shock, he returned to find an extremely tired and demotivated troop. The bridge too was incomplete. In anger and in fair judgment, he drew his sword and killed his own uncle, without a second thought. This baffled his troops. He justified his act by saying that his uncle was not greater than his country!

But still she rendered her service to the Ahom kingdom by Spying & leaking important messages from Delhi to Ahoms which helped Ahoms.

I can only recommend viewers to study "Ahom Buranji" which are basically chronicles and an authentic source about Ahom dynasty. Also I would like to mention few more important great Ahom figures like Mula Gabhoru (Ahom queen who died fighting Turbak Khan in battle field ), Sati Joymoti ( who accepted severe punishment & death rather disclosing about her hiding husband in Nagaland for the sake of the kingdom future) , Rudra Singha ( Son of Joymoti & greatest Ahom king), the Great Sukaphaa ( first ahom king for whose arrival in Assam from Mong Mao ( Now China-Myanmar border) we still celebrate Assam Divas on 2nd Dec) etc etc. Also people from modern India like Gomdhor konwar ( who actually was the first revolter against British in 1828 ) & Kushal Konwar ( he was a uniped & although there was not a single proof against him in charge of Train sabotage which killed over a thousand of British soldier but he accepted the death verdict for the sake of motherland ) etc etc
सर लाचित हमारा गौरव है। पर अफसोस, ऐसे महान देशप्रेमी वीर योद्धा का इतिहास में उल्लेख ही नही मिलता। इसके विपरीत लुटेरे मुगल को ही महान बताया जाता रहा। एक खास, राजनैतिक उद्देश्य के तहत ऐसा किया गया। सर आपने भारत माता के इस सपूत के बारे में जो कुछ बताया सब सही था। मगर एक बहुत बड़ी घटना का उल्लेख नहीं किया। जब ब्रह्मपुत्र के दोनो तरफ मिट्टी की दीवार बनानी थी तो इसकी जिम्मेदारी लाचित ने अपने सगे मामा को दी थी। दिन भर काम करके मामा और सारे कामगार थके हुए थे तो थोड़ा आराम के लिए सो गए। तभी लाचित ने आकर देखा की दीवार पूरी नही हुई और मामा सो रहे है। उनको बहुत गुस्सा आया। उन्होंने कहा की शत्रु मेरे देश के दरवाजे पर है और लोग आराम फरमा रहे है। इसे में बर्दास्त नही करूंगा। इतना कहकर उन्होंने तुरंत तलवार निकाली, एक झटके में मामा का सर धड़ से अलग कर दिया, यह कहकर की मेरा मामा मेरे देश से बड़ा नही हो सकता।। सर अपनी मिट्टी के प्रति अतुलनीय प्रेम का इससे बड़ा उदाहरण देखने को नहीं मिलता।

One more story added is that a night before the battle of Saraighat, Lachit assigned the task of building an earthern wall for fortification to his uncle. As a strategy that he devised for the war next day, the fort wall needed to be completed before sunrise. To his utter shock, he returned to find an extremely tired and demotivated troop. The bridge too was incomplete. In anger and in fair judgment, he drew his sword and killed his own uncle, without a second thought. This baffled his troops.
He justified his act by saying that his uncle was not greater than his country!

@@AkshayaKapoor Most welcome Akshaya😊 Also I would like to add that daughter of Jaydhwaj Singha (i.e Romoni Gabharu) who was also the niece of Lachit Barphukan who was given to Mirjumla at a very young age according to treaty of Ghiljharighat later converted & made the daughter-in-law of Auranzeb. But still she rendered her service to the Ahom kingdom by Spying & leaking important messages from Delhi to Ahoms which helped Ahoms.

@@AkshayaKapoor Actually I am a Ahom so I have heared these stories from my grandmother in my childhood days. I can only recommend viewers to study "Ahom Buranji" which are basically chronicles and an authentic source about Ahom dynasty.
Also I would like to mention few more important great Ahom figures like Mula Gabhoru (Ahom queen who died fighting Turbak Khan in battle field ), Sati Joymoti ( who accepted severe punishment & death rather disclosing about her hiding husband in Nagaland for the sake of the kingdom future) , Rudra Singha ( Son of Joymoti & greatest Ahom king), the Great Sukaphaa ( first ahom king for whose arrival in Assam from Mong Mao ( Now China-Myanmar border) we still celebrate Assam Divas on 2nd Dec) etc etc.
Also people from modern India like Gomdhor konwar ( who actually was the first revolter against British in 1828 ) & Kushal Konwar ( he was a uniped & although there was not a single proof against him in charge of Train sabotage which killed over a thousand of British soldier but he accepted the death verdict for the sake of motherland ) etc etc

सर लाचित हमारा गौरव है। पर अफसोस, ऐसे महान देशप्रेमी वीर योद्धा का इतिहास में उल्लेख ही नही मिलता। इसके विपरीत लुटेरे मुगल को ही महान बताया जाता रहा। एक खास, राजनैतिक उद्देश्य के तहत ऐसा किया गया।
सर आपने भारत माता के इस सपूत के बारे में जो कुछ बताया सब सही था। मगर एक बहुत बड़ी घटना का उल्लेख नहीं किया। जब ब्रह्मपुत्र के दोनो तरफ मिट्टी की दीवार बनानी थी तो इसकी जिम्मेदारी लाचित ने अपने सगे मामा को दी थी। दिन भर काम करके मामा और सारे कामगार थके हुए थे तो थोड़ा आराम के लिए सो गए। तभी लाचित ने आकर देखा की दीवार पूरी नही हुई और मामा सो रहे है। उनको बहुत गुस्सा आया। उन्होंने कहा की शत्रु मेरे देश के दरवाजे पर है और लोग आराम फरमा रहे है। इसे में बर्दास्त नही करूंगा। इतना कहकर उन्होंने तुरंत तलवार निकाली, एक झटके में मामा का सर धड़ से अलग कर दिया, यह कहकर की मेरा मामा मेरे देश से बड़ा नही हो सकता।।
सर अपनी मिट्टी के प्रति अतुलनीय प्रेम का इससे बड़ा उदाहरण देखने को नहीं मिलता।
