- Sew fun to upcycle! This is a easy sewing tutorial creating a gorgeous and trendy lace tunic from thrift store finds. This piece starts with an old lace dress and is embellished with ruffles from a tablecloth. This top is SOOOO versatile: wear with short or jeans, dress it up with a beautiful skirt or wear as a swimsuit cover up.

What can I say. You are wonderful I do mean wonderful. I really do need to stop buying so much fabric. Especially lace. You’re not only showing how to be creative but how to get the best results out of your $$$$’s This top is amazing. Lace is a large part of my wardrobe. I have to remember when thrifting to look for these items. Your style is so me. Love the way you style it up. As everything you do. I’ve been sewing for the last two weeks. Tracy you got me hooked on doing a lil up-cycling....I don’t see so much lace and linens etc anymore in the thrift stores. I did find a ZARA plaid coat dress that I am going to try doing a boho coat. Had original tag....get this $69.00...never worn. I am going to go to a discount fabric store for lace trims etc...wish me luck. I need to find that FB page you mentioned for sharing.

I just found your channel and I love it! You take me back to the 80's!! I have a question for you. Most thrift store purchases smell like they come from the thrift store and the smell does not seem to come out in the laundry. Do you have a secret for getting that smell out?
I have not had an issue with that. Odors always come out for me. I just use Gain pods. Maybe other viewers will see this and have tips.🤗💖💖💖💖

You would think your buying new! I don't understand them charging so much for used items. I looked at a dress they want 10 to 14.00. A blouse I found 10.00, am I wrong that these are to much??

I don't have pinning shears and my scissors are Fiskars brand 🥰🥰🥰🥰
The pinking sheers by fiskars are so nice and easy to use!!! My daughter bought for me for a gift and used a coupon from Joann fabrics and they were reasonable. The other pinking sheers my Mom gave me are indestructible but VERY hard on my hands.❤

Yes, it struggles through super thick materials, like most machines would, but I've always made it work.🥰🥰🥰
