I have left loved Tony Rice since the 70's. My mama was from eastern Kentucky, so I have probably heard a hundred versions of MSB. But I love Tony's the best. Also, Dolly did a great version years ago. Jerry Reed's great too. And of course, Bill's. RIP Tony. You are greatly missed.
