For those interested, the FFXIV talk starts around the 19:48 mark. As far as the comment on wall-to-wall pulls goes, I haven't had a single dungeon where tanks don't do that; that hasn't changed. What has changed is that the bosses are a little bit more difficult than in previous expansions but other than that It's pretty much the same. The EX trials feel about as difficult as previous EX trials and the Normal raids are a bit more difficult than previously. For so long the game has had brain dead dungeons and brain dead normal raids so any increase in difficulty must feel like a lot for people that don't do any of that harder content.
