Yes! We raise our GP specifically livestock guardianship. We have been fortunate with our UA-cam following to have more demand than we have supply (although we usually only breed once per year). These are special dogs that do well on farms with lots of room to run and work. We have had dogs go to homes, but this requires a lot of room and attention. People should research this breed extensively before purchasing as a pet.
@@texassweetpea2408 she is 2 and this is her first litter. She will get spayed after she gets her body condition back up. With the larger breed, they seem to have less orthopedic issues if we let them have a litter before they get spayed. I haven’t seen any puppy mills with the GP, but I’m sure they are out there. We are fortunate with our UA-cam reach, regarding our sheep and goat education, all our dogs tend to go to farms and have a good life. We hear what you’re saying though! Thanks for commenting and best wishes to you for 2024.

Dry food is not healthy. It can have 50-70% of carbohydrates. It can cause diabetes at dogs just like at humans. My vet. has said. Diab.illness can cause trembling.
They are beautiful. Was my first dog something is it's a weird name but she's not a just a white dog she's a special breed. Palmaris or something like that had one named snowball when I was a kid God bless you snowball I hope we see each other again
These are livestock guardian dogs that will be going to farms and will be living their lives outside with sheep, goats, and other livestock. They must be exposed to livestock at extremely early age. They are in a large, clean shelter and have multiple heat lamps and bedding available to them. They also have free choice water, their mother, and are well fed. They are also wormed, vaccinated, and checked for coccidia. These are not house pets. Many of the Great Pyrenees you find at the shelters are there because people made this mistake. It’s a farm, we don’t have carpet in our stables.
Please do not listen to this ignorant comment. Do not buy a livestock guardian dog from the pound. If you are going to incorporate a dog with your livestock, it is important for the dog and your animals that it is properly trained and exposed to livestock from an early age. This person thinks that because she sees a fence and puppies not in a house, it means they are abused or neglected. These dogs are in a 1 acre paddock, well fed, happy and comfortable. They are simply just happy to see us because it is time to eat. If you’re looking for a pet, go to the pound. If you’re looking for a working dog, go to a farm and make sure they are trained properly and meet the parents if possible.
Why? They are at the farm gate because it’s time to eat.
