How much bicycling do you do? Cycling was a major part of training for ski racers in Europe since at least 50 years ago. Your machine is certainly interesting.
The people that have never skied down a snow hill have no idea what it takes out of your legs. And that's a leisure run. Ski racing down a hill? I am sure the legs get a burn.
