    Fringe is my all time favorite show and this is my favorite scene. I always come back to it every now and then. Olivia always breaks my heart and she says: "She wasn't me.". Still get me every time.

    I love the inclusion of the third chair... It's almost like Fauxlivia is there with them.

    I binge watched this show and this scene stuck with me. I mean this scene was heart breaking and so emotional and I almost had to skip through it. I was crying right along with her

    Excellent job by both Anna Torv and Joshua Jackson. Olivia saying "she's taken everything" followed by Peter's "I'm sorry" just killed me. What a powerful scene.

    This scene is indescribable. There is just so much raw heartbreak on both ends and Peter's "I'm sorry" to the empty garden with a very melancholy version of the Peter & Olivia theme music playing the background was so sad. I'm just gonna have to keep the faith that this venting session was exactly what the two needed in order to move on and move forward. They obviously still love each other and DO want to be with each other (despite what was said). Olivia will come around...eventually.

    Anna Trov, did an amazing job in this episode!! her reactions were so realistic down to the way she cries and in this last scene how she talks it out to him, where she takes her breaths and how/when she starts crying again! It was so awesome, its been a long time since someone on these shows hits the emotions right on the nail like she did in this episode! Amazing! I sympathize with Olivia, when you love someone you want to believe that they would know you and or know it wasn't you by the eyees.

    omg my heart is breaking as this scene goes on. D; Anna is taking her character to a whole new level. Oh my goodness this is so sad. Acted beautifully but it's so heartbreaking. I get what Olivia's saying and I don't hate her for not wanting to be with Peter. Alt.Olivia has "contaminated" everything of hers. It just doesn't feel the same, like Olivia said she's taken everything. So I don't hate Olivia for breaking them up but I hope they'll get through this. Thanks for the upload. :D

    I'm still not sure what would have worked better. Peter's "I'm sorry" or the moment when he briefly shut his eyes, and then continued silence.
    I guess what occurred will suffice. Still a superb scene.

    It’s so painful even I can feel it too, especially Peter can’t really say anything back to comfort her makes it worse.. she went through hell, almost got her brain cut out but she survived it all because she wanted to reunite with him while he was living the life of a new couple.. aww

    His face at the end! That's what makes the scene. I understand her anger, but I'm not too keen on melodrama. Less is more sometimes and I felt more sorry for him here than for her, while I had spent the whole episode feeling more sorry for her.

    Loved the music in this scene, really played on the score from their first kiss (at the end)
    But this scene is so heart wrenching :(, I really wanted to be at the set and just walked in and have gone "Woooaaahh, lets stop there, here's how it should've gone" *insert uplifting words ending in them getting back together*
    Lovely way to start the hiatus, lol, i agree xD

    This situation is so annoying, because I understand both Peter's and Olivia's point of view. It would have been difficult for Peter to see that it wasn't Olivia, but Olivia has every right to be angry. I don't think she's really angry at Peter, she's just angry with the whole situation.

  • @huh8888
    @huh8888 14 років тому

    @Damon242 true. Going off of that, the make-up artists and camerawork on this show are also phenomenal. They have, since season one, played off and emphasized Anna Torv's eyes in many scenes. It's hard to see how Peter couldn't have noticed when (especially in this episode) Anna Torv/Our Olivia's green glassy orbs are deeply glimmering at you from the screen while Altliv's were always rimmed with eyeliner to make them lighter and more flinty, less "haunted."

  • @huh8888
    @huh8888 14 років тому

    the only thing that undermines this scene is, well, Barrett was looking into a dead girl's eyes. She was only "technically" alive; her brain (and therefore memories) was not there. Alt-Olivia could at least fake it. But nonetheless, Olivia addresses this with her "I understand the facts" and her arguments about doing what felt right, despite fighting against reason. Great great scene.

    @milovy She "worked through it" because she learned John Scott was actually an agent of the NSA. So...it may take more than half a season...since there's no cop-out for this.

    When was Olivia suppose to admit her feeling? Peter didn't hang round to give either her or Walter a change to explain themselves he reverted to his old ways and did a runner.

    @milovy lol actually the last time she cried was after she killed the shapeshifter and discovered that Charlie was dead in 'Momentum Deferred'.
    oh and the bathroom scene in the season 3 premiere 'Olivia'.

  • @gillybabies
    @gillybabies  14 років тому

    @TammyBristow1
    Olivia went after Peter because of the picture that the Observer left her and when she showed it to Walter he remember that Peter wasn't suppose to go back home to the Red Universe. I don't think she would have crossed over otherwise.

  • @Damon242
    @Damon242 14 років тому

    @huh8888 It's a common thing in drama; the eyes containing a person's 'soul'.
    But someone just brought up an excellent point, that Peter had met AltOlivia in the season 2 finale and seen the difference between her and our Olivia, and therefore should have seen the similarities (and in my opinion he should have especially seen it in '6955KHZ'--she didn't even try to hide the differences in that episode).

  • @Damon242
    @Damon242 14 років тому

    @blackcrazydog I maintain that he should have suspected something in '6955KHZ', if she was ever completely unlike our Olivia, it was in that episode. She didn't even try to hide the differences.
    But that goes for every other character as well (at least Nina noticed it).

    @TammyBristow1 Olivia never treated Peter as an alien, she didn't tell him the truth about him coming from the other side, because she was scared to lose him, but she made a mistake, she should have told him the truth, and because she didn't tell him, what she was scared of just happened, Peter crossed to the other universe, if she told him the truth maybe none of this might have happened... That means sometimes when we want to keep people we love using a lie, we can expect a boomerang effect.

  • @Damon242
    @Damon242 14 років тому

    @ReaperDMV He didn't betray her...yet you suggest that he was desperate to be with alt-Olivia? Not only do those two points contradict each other, they also fundamentally don't make any sense.
    Whereas Peter had his life saved and was unable to return because of an unseen accident involving the portal, the broken bottle, and the ice, Olivia was stolen and replaced and those who claimed to know and care for her were unable to see any difference between the two--even though Peter had met altOlivia

    @gillybabies I must be one of the few that is not that mad at Peter, disappointed maybe, but not mad.
    Why? Because Scarlie who had been her partner for years said 'You couldn't tell them apart."
    To me that's a testamonial that if they had the same hair/face/body no one could tell them apart.
    That aside, Peter saw some behavioral differences but wanted to believe HE had caused them.

    @FabsieKaa Anyone can get all kinds of information about ANY of the Fringe episodes at fringepedia 'dot' net. I'm a big Fringe fanfiction writer at ff 'dot' net and I use the fringepedia site all the time for the transcipts. I also keep track of who's writing what, because near the end of Season 2 and into Season 3 there's been a lot of switching of writers and I don't like that. I worry it will interrupt the continuity of the show. Alison Schapker and Monica Owusu-Breen co-wrote 3.03, 3.09.

    @ReaperDMV I really don't think the writing is bad at all. They've given Josh plenty to do, and it seems like he's going to have more after the break. So what if Olivia's been he main focus so far? She is the main character after all. Besides, a lot of last season was about Peter, this one has been about Olivia, and after the break it seems like it's going to be Peter again. I personally think the writers are brilliant, but of course that's just my opinion.

    @gillybabies Olivia went after Peter becuse she love him and to save his life and the universe.She would have cross over to get him back even if the world was not in danger.

  • @elizze6
    @elizze6 14 років тому

    @MayBrainLee1 of course the other characters should get to do things. And Peter and Walter have gotten to do plenty of things! they're in it just as much as Olivia, and just because they aren't always the main focus doesn't mean anything. If you had your way, Peter would be the only character in the whole show! Peter fans can get really annoying sometimes, saying that Peter should always be in the spotlight. Peter is my favorite character, but I'm happy with how much he gets to do.

    @FabsieKaa I have to agree that they could have done much better with Alternate Olivia as well.
    What a concept! It does seem like she was reduced to promiscuous simpleton. If she's really that genetically similar to our Liv she'd be quite intelligent, not just physically strong.

  • @gillybabies
    @gillybabies  14 років тому

    @bigfan0071
    But if his live wasn't in danger I don't believe she would have gone to the extent of crossing over and risking the lives of others. She maybe have tried to cross herself but I don't believe she would have expected anyone else to just for her love of Peter.

    @WJobsessed Just to be clear I love that show, I like the episodes, I like the idea of the parallel universe, I am just desapointed about what they made with Bolivia, the tricking vagina ! common. They could have done a lot more with this caracter, maybe they will, but after what she did it's gonna be hard to keep interest in her.

    @MayBrainLee1 Jackson isn't getting any buzz because Torv is outperforming all of the other actors this season. It's like Heath Ledger in 'The Dark Knight', the talent and performance distracts from all else.

  • @milovy
    @milovy 14 років тому

    Gleebee, do you ever get tired of sitting all lonely in front of your computer and thinking up new screen names for yourself as you try to make us think there's an army of people out there who think Anna Torv and John Noble are evil? It's called "monomania" - look it up in the dictionary.

  • @crake888
    @crake888 14 років тому

    @FabsieKaa It's not a simple show. There are a lot of ups and downs. It's constantly evolving. Different episodes have different tones. Sometimes life is hard and people are broken. Saying that the show is the way it is because "all the writers are men" is ridiculous. Trying reading some science fiction, it tends to be moody and dark the way Fringe is. And Bolivia is FAR more complicated than you're giving her credit for. You might be better off watching a more formulaic show, try Bones or CSI.

  • @ebedgert
    @ebedgert 14 років тому

    @Damon242 Please stop confusing writing with acting. Truth is, Jackson does just as much (if not more) with less dialogue than the other actors do.

  • @Damon242

    Also, Anna Torv was pretty wooden in the first season or so because nobody was writing these special scenes for her to chew scenery in. I think she's a good actress actually, but a good actor can do a lot more with a lot less and I think Jackson is a much more experienced player. It has really shown in the quiet scenes he has had especially in the last 2 episodes.

  • @Damon242

  • @FabsieKaa

    @meltingcastle Saying the writers are all men may be ridiculous but it's true ! and thinking that men and women have the same approach in everything is preposterous. And thanks but I know Bones and CSI, I would never be passionate about these shows. I think I'm not the only Fringe addict desapointed by the Bolivia evil temptress creation, ask yourself why the ratings are so low this season ?

    So Olivia's all "WAHHHH! You didn't know me! You don't love me!" But what does she know about knowing people? Her last boyfriend was a double agent who infiltrated the FBI. In fact the last time she was seen crying on screen, she had just learned who John Scott really was. And it took her half a fucking season to work through it. It better not take half another season for her to get over this.
    Don't worry Peter... Walter still loves you, and will always love you.

  • @Damon242
    @Damon242 14 років тому

    @MayBrainLee1 oh dear god it's you. Face it, of the two actors Jackson is the weakest. Of the two characters, Peter is the weakest. This season focuses on Olivia.
    Stop moaning about Peter not being at the forefront and Jackson not having all the attention.

  • @FabsieKaa
    @FabsieKaa 14 років тому

    I am really a Fringe addict, and this poor storyline makes me think how pittyfull I am. I am considering to stop watching Fringe, because I don't like what they did to my favorites caracters, Olivia is broken, Peter is now a tricked and cold man. I don't see any hope in what they can make happen, this story is as empty as Walternate's tank, and I swear I'll never watch any other show directed by JJ Abrams, Whyman, Pinkner, Orci, I don't like to be taken for an idiot.
