Absolutely love my new Specialized Levo full power. It rips it jumps and I am amazed at how well it climbs. I test rode a lot of bikes and the Cube did not feel comfortable on the climbs. Test rode the Rise and Wild and the 90 minutes riding with guys on full power was exhausting uphill but pretty fun downhill. Very happy with my decision on buying a Specialized, of course I am still in the Honeymoon stage😂
On the subject of pedals, I just changed over to flats to ride my Cube EMTB as I've had an operation to remove my meniscus from my knee after repeated attempts to disengage from grit filled spds over the years, I also broke my ankle in three places in November last year after my rear tyre slipped on off camber grass and I went down with my foot still attached to the pedal, it then caught on a rock and twisted my ankle right around which resulted in a dislocated foot... I had to be rescued off the hill and my two buddies helped the three paramedics to take me downhill to the ambulance on a padded stretcher. Enough was enough so now using flats.
looking toward the new bikes that allow us to remove the batt. An ride with no resistance from the motor after the batt was exspelled its power.any info would be appreciated of the future of this technology.
Maybe I'm just used to SPDs after 25 years on using them in XC first and later in downhill racing, the only flatpedal bike I have left is my Dirtbike I use at the Pumptrack. Once you're used to SPDs AND you feel good with them, they give you awesome control of the bike and more efficient pedalling, which is not as importand on an EMTB but still put them on my Levo and love them. In the end it's just personal preference for hobby riders.
Take your bike into the bedroom 🤣 = Divorce , blankets old carpet off cuts, padded insulated bike cover, pipe lagging and cover the battery area. To be honest in your shed should be a tad warmer than outside. You could potentially mount a small solar panel and plug in those small greenhouse heaters if you have no power. Loads of options
I have my spds on the loosest possible setting that still keeps me clipped in over the technical stuff but is still just a slight twist to unclip. Only ever fallen twice, and that was when first riding spds, over 25 years ago..!
Best , cheap lightweight full (ish ) power E-mtb ? The voodoo E-zobop , 3k , or less with vouchers 150/140 travel , shimano ep7000 motor , do the e-tube app tuning , stick some better brakes on it and enjoy Or but a cube 160 AT 625
Hi, I am thinking about ditching my car and riding the 8miles to work. I haven't rode a bike for 15 years. I have never rode an e bike but I think it's for me. The bike I'm thinking of buying is the trek powerfly 4 eq, can you do a video on the commute ability and how hard this bike could be pushed on weekends for fun? Love the channel, I'm a new subscriber.
bruh you missed the new best brand Transition - the new Relay is a nice hybrid emtb, 43lbs ride60 motor 430wh bat. but custom all the way, could never go premade emtb.
Challenge looking at a trek 9.5 carbon 750 battery 25.3 kg. Over time how to get the weight down . Forks ,wheels brakes Etc . Is under 22 kg possible ??
Gotta disagree, Steve. Cube are *terrible* for spares in my experience. Ended up buying a 3d-printed spare charging port cover for my Stereo Hybrid. Specialized, in contrast, are superb. I'm surprised you can't get a custom electric blanket for e-bikes! 😀
Cube is a terrible ride. The only way anyone would recommend it is if they were paid to, or made the mistake of buying one and now insist that every other brand out there is just “ripping” you off.
@@grmajina well Cube is definitely not good value. You are getting what you pay for. That’s not really value. Whilst most brand share the forks, gears, brakes and wheels, the frame and suspension kinematics is really what allows the components to do their job properly. When you sit on a Scott, Specialized, Trek or even YT you have the impression that those components are really being allowed to perform to their very best. On Cube bikes I and many others have the feeling that due to the very obvious lack of in house engineering capabilities and talent, the components, especially suspension, simply are unable to perform well. I rode a Cube 160 with Fox Factory suspension and I could not believe how terrible it felt. The fork which is normally very plush, was harsh and the shock just didn’t go through its travel smoothly. The frame felt wooden and very quickly out of its depth. Cube is basically a bike importer, that commissions various Taiwanese frame producers to make a variant of a frame that Cube has not designed. Just watch the documentaries about the Cube “factory” and you can immediately tell that it’s nothing like the other brands. YT and Canyon are good value brands that actually develop their own products properly. Cube is just an outlet for cheap Chinese crap. There is no such thing as a free meal and you really have to wonder how it is that “on paper” Cube provides bikes at a third the cost of normal, not direct to consumer brands. There has to be a reason. Now either it’s that they don’t like making a profit, which is doubtful, or they have some secret production tricks, or their costs are simply much lower. I would go for the latter. Production and shipping costs are basically the same for everyone more or less, but the R and D isn’t. And that’s where the savings with Cube come from. Cube is a good bike to have for the grandad who thinks he is a Mtber or to commute to work. With all the great offers now on Specialized, YT giving an extra 25% on already top prices and so many more deals, there really is no reason to spend money on a Cube. 5,5K currently buys you a Spec Kenevo SL comp. And that’s a hell of a lot of bike for your buck! Not to mention the obvious resale problems. No one wants a second hand Cube. The other brands do much better on the second hand market.
What do you think is the best full-power, lightweight EMTB available on the market!? Let us know your thoughts down below👇

Once you get good on flats, they are the bomb, road or trail its all I use.
All the new shoes and pedals make it work great.
I really like Steve's invisible knee pads 😄😄😄😄. This is next level lad's.
Typical Steve! 😂

The shimano multi release cleats work really well ,easier to unclip in a hurry

Full power all the way :)
💯
the Orbea Rise is the best full power e-bike, it has 85nm (yes it does) and is waaaaaay better than A Levo for example.

Steve you should try out the MAGPED. I use them for Enduro racing and very simple to dismount from.
I use them too.... love them
My Bulls Sonic Evo AM SL with a yari 170, 750wh,pedals and enduro wheels is 22,0kg!!
Cube 160 stereo hybrid is the best value bike out there..If you can get one. Bosch 85 torque 750w at 4599 stg for the win.
Full power, sub 18kgs please
Did you find any?
Full power full warranty 😂 aggressive travel ❤
It sounds like you love an all out aggressive setup! 😅🔥
With all of the issues and delays on replacement EP8 motors, I do wonder if companies will look to move away from these motors?

One vote for the Kenevo SL. Got it set up mullet on carbon hoops, Zeb 170 up front, cane creek kitsuma coil out back. And I loves it it do ❤️
How come you never mention vitus e sommett or nukeproof megawatt made in the uk. They would be awesome for that guy.
just waiting to receive a cube stereo hybrid 160 slx. long delivery times but super excited.
Learning to clip pedals is a matter of practice. Start on a road bike!
Challenge looking at a trek 9.5 carbon 750 battery 25.3 kg. Over time how to get the weight down . Forks ,wheels brakes Etc . Is under 22 kg possible ??
Under 22kg would be tough but you could get it around 23kg with some upgrades.
focus jam sl

Just unlock the Orbea Rise RS motor nad you will have full power of an EP8 motor in a bike weighing under 20 kg.
Wrap it in a space blanket
Where has Chris gone?
Exactly, we deserve answers
In what world is 21k light??
Exactly!!
Specialised?
jones need a partner. tough to listen to him the entire time
Just a thought... it may be easier to get a divorce first, then bring the Emtb into the bedroom....
terrible example, put protection should be your first advice!!!
Please get new presenters
I know what one is the best and it is none of the ones you can buy from a shop built like that make your own ebikes from a kit and the bike you want

Can You elaborate why would You think that? I was considering Cube as it seems good value. I would like to have a decent EMTB without spending 10k €
Very interested in why, I know multiple people who own cubes and they are all happy with them, and the odd time I've ridden they felt good and solid
Have a few cubes in our group, better to say Had, this a statement in itself…

@@asifitmatters1 Thank You very much for Your reply. I'll definitely check the brand's that You've mentioned. Thank's again!
