- Hey y'all! It's been a little quiet here since last time, but we've eaten good, made some core memories and got Lawrence to answer some hay baling questions. RECIPE
Easy Sirloin Tip Roast:
-Season roast (Musketpowder Black or Red are perfect)
-Sear all sides a few minutes each in hot skillet
-Put in 250 degree oven, cook until internal temp 115 degrees
-Tent with foil and let rest until Internal temp comes up to 125-130 for medium rare

Your kids are growing up and experiencing the best life in America. In twenty or thirty years they can look back at some very marvellous memories. It would be great if that farm stays in the family for many future generations.
My favorite video from you so far. To see Lawrence overcome his shyness to talk to us was awesome. It is so refreshing to see someone who is being himself and sincere. Lawrence is the kind of guy I would like to hang out with. A man of few words, but you can see right through that outer crust right into his heart. I hope he will talk to us a little more. I bet he has has some great stories that he could share with us. A good farmer, husband, father, and friend. I am 73 years old and not mobile. Your videos are like being there on the farm with you. Thanks for making my life a little better.

at 13 years old i bought my first tractor a farmall H and a 2 bottom plow rented my first 8 acres of course it was level ground. by 16 years old i was up to 320 acres. my mom and dad were supportive but not really for it even thou they farmed also i rented land that no one had farmed for years
I learned to drive a clutch on a Farmall H pulling a hay wagon around the fields of southeastern PA. Best learning experience I ever had.
Hello Barnard family. I watch all of your videos rarely ever comment. But to me this was a special video. I can't really tell you why. I don't know myself. But I do know it touched me. Your family is always so uplifting. I've cried with you through the heartache. Ive laughed at the craziness I'm always on the edge of my seat when Lawrence talks the knowledge that he has gained over the years. Your wonderful cooking segments are always so heart warming.

I'm 64/65 years young right now. I grew up on the farm and lived on the family farm with my wife and kids. I worked a regular job and helped my dad and family when I got home from work. You are showing the real farm life. There is always work to do even during the lull between different plantings and different harvest. There was always repairs and chores. We raised beef also. Black Angus first and then crossed them with Simatal and Limousine , then later with Mainangu.
Best time to bush hog is just before fall after the growing season! Then you have till spring to start again . Thanks for bringing us into your home ! What a wonderful family !

It is a very wise decision to wait on allowing Wesley to run the bush hog. Yes, it's necessary on a farm and ranch, but it's such a dangerous operation, especially on hilly terrain. You can NEVER be too careful with that dang mower deck. Many years ago, I had a friend that had the tractor and mower roll over and unfortunately lost his left leg. Those mowers can shoot out flying missiles if you have the deck set too low.
On a lighter note, I so enjoy watching your channel. You are blessed with an amazing family. Thank you for sharing y'all lives with us.
Most people don't realize how dangerous a tractor can be ,especially with a large bat wing mower

We appreciate you and your family sharing what a lot of us remember I got to experience farm life when I was young with my grandparents. I grew up and spent 45 years in a factory. In my part of Canada, we have always referred to it as "Crop Touring" or "Crop Dusting". Sadly, the cops put an end to it for about 20 years. But with all the empty beer cans along the side of the road, it would appear crop touring is back.
It is great to be able to see what the real America is like, through the Bernard family.

Wes, you can do the same with a dry acorn top, no cracks! curl your two index fingers in so your top knuckles are together, lay the acorn cap on, and hold it with your two thumbs, and leave a little crack between your thumbs, you blow into the cap between your thumbs, then practice! you adjust the width between your thumbs, you'll figure out how to do it! It makes a sharp noise like the crass, maybe louder! Porterhouse steak has the big filet, t-bone has little !

Mr Lawrence check the rollers on the bill hooks to make sure they are oiled and free if the start getting flat spots on them that will cause you problems too

Meredith that roast looked great. To tell you the truth is that I gained 20 pounds when I say it and another 5 pounds when you took that taste test. I'm 65 years young like Lawrence, and I smoke all the beef that I eat,but not ground chuck with bake potatoes and cabbage in the smoker.
