Before UA-cam and before the term ASMR, there was Bob Ross. Watching him paint, and talk and paint happy little trees and clouds, and stipling his brush into the canvas was so relaxing. And we had a plant lady come to the office weekly to water plants, hearing her pour the water and wipe the dust from the leaves made me fall asleep at my desk.
This is so wonderful. I’ve seen many different people that do asmr and you are definitely at the top as one of the best at what you do. As an over the road truck driver and after a long 11 hour day of driving and headaches that we deal with watching your videos really relaxes me and puts me right to sleep. Insomnia has taken root and at almost 5 in the morning my mind is generally out of it. But you had me at the woodwick candle. I'm going to try to fall asleep now.
I used to get tingles from asmr triggers growing up but, in the entire decade plus of watching asmr on here, I think I've only gotten tingles once or twice. I've always used it for sleep. A lot of the older asmr videos from like 2011-14 are pretty similar to nowadays from what I remember. Whispering was always a core feature, but people did roleplays and sounds triggers as well. I guess in my mind that's "classic asmr" but I think it's just more classic asmr videos. Not sure if I could define classic asmr itself.
I just happened to look at the chapters and when I did, I jumped straight into the Spanish reading. Damn Sarah, I am very, very impressed. Midway, I stopped paying attention to what you were reading and focused on your pronunciation and I have to say it sounded really good! You've developed a nice accent and I am a little taken aback at how much you've improved. Keep it going, I definitely think you should do an exclusive Spanish Asmr video in the future.
