- PLEASE BE GENTLE, ALL! This is our first time singing anything in Cantonese... so we apologize for any pronunciation errors on our part! That being said, we really love this song and we had a blast filming it. The song is called, "Liking You" in English and "喜欢你“ in Chinese. It was originally performed by a famous band from Hong Kong called Beyond, but G.E.M did a great cover of it as well! We hope you enjoy!

No. . . this isn't the most poplar Cantonese song of all time in whole Chinese history. . But WKK is definitely brilliant. This song does belong to top known canto song of all time for sure. HKG Cantonese grammar is like free styling. However, Ngo Dae Ngoi Lei would be correct way to say+ pronounce.

About Cantonese tones, there's a way to kind of remember them. 「三碗半牛腩麵一百碟」are nine words of the nine different tones and in order from 1-9! It's pretty neat.
I’m a native speaker so I didn’t know that’s all mine tones because I grew up with it 😅. Good to know.
I heard from somewhere that 123456789 in Cantonese include all 9 tones. Don't know if it is true.

Disregarding the number of tones, Cantonese pronunciation is quite close to English pronunciations and you just need to master about 1,000 phoneme combinations.

"Naan" or "Laan" are both acceptable/understandable. "Laan" is considered lazy Cantonese , but it's not like anyone will raise an eyebrow if you use either pronunciation of the word.
