      Obviously and some missing information...for instance...some products may be ideal for apartment dwellings...the tray with the holes that gave her a headache wouldn't be a headache to a homeowner with a outdoor hose...it's definitely going to be a pain in a utility sink cleaning by hand and if you have water pressure possibly spraying poo crumbs in the house... one has to evaluate from experience and reasoning abilities to select the fit for you...me personally for example I hate double dealing so the absorb pad is out for me...kill the extra item in the cart and pass folded in the garage can and reduce physical handling...I'd rather hose it out and I have an inground dog compost for the poo... I eliminated buying poo bags etc... but as stated people in condos and apts have to take different measures and that is respected...it's not a one sided choice.

    We had a puppy golden and I bought a turf tray for use while she was small. She was great and peed and pooped on it but after the 2nd or 3rd time her paws were wet cause the urine wasn’t draining and I had to clean her paws. So we just took her outside and she did great.

      That’s kind of my issue with my goldendoodle puppy she goes outside but with her hair she gets pee near her vulva and paws. She has a short haircut and I have been trimming that area but still the pee just trails down the sidewalk when she squats and will sometimes get on her back paws and privates.

When I get another puppy I'll definitely get your tray, more sanitary to have puppy pad enclosed in tray & stop anything from running off it if they get too close to the edge while learning to use them.

    I used the Out! tray with our last litter and it worked pretty well until the puppies got big enough to shred the pads. It is flimsy, though. We also use one with a waffle grate, which works well but is hard to clean. A garden hose with full water pressure works best to clean it. Your trays look like they would be great!

    First of all, thanks for doing this video. I have used the turf potty tray and the middle barrier is not to reduce the scent of the urine. It is to prevent the turf from sitting in the urine and becoming soaked. It is intended that an absorbent pad will also be used in conjunction to collect the urine. You are right, this system does hold odors! A pressure hose cleans the solids from the turf. You can soak the turf in white vinegar to eliminate the odor.

    Could pine pellets be used with your Little Wolves tray?
    Also, any thoughts towards a smaller ‘grill’? I have a 6 month old Chihuahua and if his whole paw wasn’t falling through, the individual bars would be irritating in between his paws. Just judging by your hand size and the distance between bars, he would definitely have issues%. It’s a really well thought out item. (Edit to add: I’m referring to indoor use with an adult dog during cold season)

    What do you use for cleaning crates and areas in your home?
    I have a 16 year old maltipoo that has regressed to a puppy, she poops and pee in her kennel. We can take her out and bring her back in and she will poop in the house. We now have to constantly watch her, I work from home and I take her out like every couple hours.
    Tried disposable puppy pads and she rips them up, I have reusable pads so I’m constantly going to the laundry mat to wash her pads and blankets. I just don’t know what to do anymore.

So like if you have it on top of something the place where it's cut doesn't have the border and it might leak out a little bit right there. The problem with your design is that it's a metal grate on top so for one their feet could slip through. Plus it's not that comfortable to stand on and too if you get any scratches on it somehow it's going to rust. You should do a plastic waffle top like the one before

    • @FknNefFy
      @FknNefFy 5 місяців тому

      😊 If you want the poop to still fall through, just make it a bigger waffle cut design but I think plastic is better than metal too

    • @FknNefFy
      @FknNefFy 5 місяців тому

      That's also NOT TRUE A puppy can put his leg through the bars and then if it's moving or gets pushed over by another dog or falls or whatever it could break its leg. If it just steps straight down and pulls it out that's fine but it's a safety concern for sure. PLASTIC WAFFLE I STILL SAY IS THE BEST BUT AT LEAST ADD SOME CROSSHATCH BARS IF YOU'RE GOING TO KEEP THAT METAL DESIGN

    My pup started shredding the pee pads as well, but I trained him to leave it and at first I would only show him the pad to train that command but within a week the pad could be in the floor and he wouldn't mind it, after that we focused on potty training there and we could make it work, I wouldn't expect any good behaviour without training, I think all of those potty ways mentioned can work if you show your dog what is the behaviour they get rewarded for.

    I want to call BS on your very sketchy review on the Vet's Best pad holder. Not only is it the most affordable choice, it is very sturdy. There are silicone feet on the underneath side to hold it in place while being used. The unit has clips on the edges to hold pad in place & pads are the exact size for holder. You went on about having to clean poo out of crack where the unit folds. Let me ask you HOW would poo get in there if you have the pad perimeter clipped in place? My 14 lb doggo has used this for over 10 years and I have NEVER had an issue with it. Very durable, easy to clean, no grooves for feet or toenails to get caught in. Folds up to a couple inch thickness for traveling or storage. I felt she skewed her review unfairly just to sell her product, which is much, much more costly. I have no problem with folks trying to sell their product but I do think it's wrong to purposely misrepresent the other products you are showing.

    • @DoodlesofNC
      @DoodlesofNC  9 місяців тому +2

      Thank you for that feedback! I used it for a couple of days and felt like my review was fair. My puppies walk on the grates often and pushed the poop into the squares. I could def see if you had an older dog with more solid poop. It would pick right up! So you are right on that part for older dogs. I’m glad the product works so well for you!

    That tray costs about 3x as much as the others.

      This is true. But it’s not plastic . We made it specifically so poop would fall thru and it will last!

      True for most people! But some elderly or others might need a tray!

    What about a male dog, they lift their leg so....

      I think most would continue to use the tray regularly. If they only know that from the potty training phase on then they won't learn to lift their leg.

    Totally 👍🏻 agree withe the turf it’s messy , I do agree with little wolf tray set, I’m not a breeder and this is a investment 😮😢
    On that Amazon tray just use it like you use your system the grate, pad and tray , agree there grate is a little thick but possible work, turf and pads alone not a good option .😊🫶🏻
    Being not a breeder I need a more adorable option😢
