Not sure if this would get me through selection, but my trick before any big test on PT or in the field is reminding myself that i can't do better than my best. And if my best isn't good enough there's no point worrying because that can't be changed at the time. So I relax a bit.
So if I fail or don't do as well as I'd like, I it least know that I gave it my all.

UK SF 92% fail rate out of hardened Para's and Royal Marines. SEAL's have 70% fail rate recruiting from civi street, that is night and day in terms of difficulty

Walmart and delta airlines have lower acceptance rates than Harvard. Washout rate alone is a poor indicator of difficulty.

Good advice. The journey of whatever we are striving for is as pivotal as the outcome. Lessons can be learned from both failing and succeeding. I think we have to experience both for personal development.

In America right now we've had the least amount to people enlist in our military history and i figured that joining before college would only do me and my country good. Im currently 17 and im trying to get my grades up and get prepared physically.

I finished my BCom Law degree before my 26th birthday this year and was eager to join my country's navy as I'm a fit oak that played sports throughout highschool and had been preparing for the military prior. I was disappointed when I was told that I'm too old at 26 and now I'm contemplating joining the police force to have a go the elite units so I can do something fulfilling before I sit behind the desk. Love your channel mate 🇿🇦❤

Good advice for life, to remind yourself that you’re own actions are a sort of measuring stick. Just keep marking the stick at certain times I guess to ascertain whether you are growing or shrinking in whatever it is that drives or defines you. Even though the outcome is the same for all of us it gives us feedback on what we are doing, or not doing and possibly how we are viewed by others.
    Thanks.

@@thenaturaledge thanks for the response. I was surprised to hear in one of your videos you are moving toward the corporate sector, again.
There are a lot of people in the private Labour working sector who could benefit from you and others like you and vice versa. To be blunt…I would have thought the corporate sector is more competition than provision. I don’t personally see someone like you as competition. Purely because many in the labour working sector could do much of what you do physically.
We lack strategic thinking though on how to improve our businesses, manage our time and role models on what fit and proper people do and actually look like.
There’s so many broken bodies, minds and businesses around at present due to the “lack” of CIA that you speak about, personally and socially…plus a whole host of other things.
We are kind of out here trying to emulate what some of you people have done in terms of improving our health, our minds etc but we have nothing to go on other than films and UA-cam searches. There is no proper direct contact.
      Sometimes Prescence is everything.
Even a strategic workshop for workers health every now and then wouldn’t go a miss.

absolutely. I think its all about setting your own standards. I never really care if I reach a certain standard that others have set before me; The only thing that is important to me is: "Was I actually totally aligned with MY purpose all the time or did I slack?" If the answer to this question is yes, I dont need any more external approval because I know Ive given anything,
AND even more than I though I was capable of.
In my opinion its not about the goals you achieve but how you feel about YOURSELF. ( your mental game of course)

@@thenaturaledge well it cant be a coincidence I guess. Its just not sexy:
Certain activities in my day feel like a literal nightmare and sometimes I feel like throwing up because I dont want to do the things. But I acknowledge that this is for my low level of productivity (or maybe jusr for my mindset which isnt hardened enough yet?) (Im just not really used to it yet) and that its this kind of effort that is asked of me in order to reach my goals and have the kind of life I strive for. Knowing that I dont really care about myself or my feelings.
      Gotta earn it everyday!

No. I have mental problems that would probably disqualify me from joining even if I wanted to. I am generally opposed to the military on political grounds, mainly the way that our leaders choose to use it, but have a begrudging respect for the people on the ground who overcome in the face of great odds.
