CALL TO WORSHIP:
We come to worship as people who enjoy life but also suffer various kinds of losses in our lives.
It’s hard to get past the losses when we are sad, bitter or angry and refuse to imagine anything else but restoration of what we have lost can satisfy or fulfill.
And yet, life is all about change and change that can be permanent whether we like it or not, choose it or not.
We are here to open our hearts to a God who not only restores us in life, but can also resurrect new life in and through us past what is lost and forever changed.
ALL: Let us worship God together!
*Hymn: With the Lord as my guide No. 574
Prayer of Approach, Confession & The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven;
Give us this day our daily bread;
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil;
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory, forever. Amen.
The Peace of Christ be with you all;
And also with you
