What's the life span of the pen for the average day to day use? I got a Cheyenne Hawk Thunder and Hawk Spirit 2 years ago when I decided to try something new now Thunder is beginning to really vibrate and make lots of noise. I'm looking at the pen but its hella expensive to replace every 2 years. I mean, 1 full session pays for it but $650 every 2 years is quite annoying. Maybe coils with cartridges adapters? Still I would rather just use one machine but it doesn't seem these rotaries are lasting the daily grind. I tattoo 4 to 6 hrs every day as I'm in a busy shop..

The new inkjecta's also take elastics which is a pain. I bought a newer model so I had a second one, cost me about $1000 by the time I bought the grip, shipping etc. I ended up giving it to my apprentice, I wasn't impressed by the newer model. Definitely think I am going to grab one of these pens though. Loved your review and how being that you are also an inkjecta user that you were able to compare the two

jeepers creepers tell me about, it sucked when I got it and realize I needed to get a grip as well. The Proton didn't give me any problems or it wasn't hard to get use to it. you plug in and it's ready to go. outline and shading at 9.4 volts.

Also, can you autoclave the grip? Cheyenne grips aren't totally enclosed. Pendulum shading cause lots of ink splash and gets into to the little openings on Cheyenne grips. FK grips are easier to clean but I don't think they have an adapter to the pens yet. Any and all information is greatly appreciated!

Use the membrane cartridges instead of the band cartridges. The membrane prevents back flow

I've seen another version of this machine with some blue lights that glow on the end of it. I don't like them actually. What version is this pen and where can I get one. Thanks

thank you for the comment about not knowing why people like pepper shading. no offence to people who like it, I just don't understand

hey there. I currently use a bishop V6 and have been looking into switching to cartridges, but I've been turned off by the cost of investing in everything it takes. does this machine require the special grips that other machines like inkjecta require? or is it all setup and ready except for cartridges?

Ricarts_92 Tattoo are there standard cartridges for this machine? is there a specific brand of cartridge you prefer?

so I use t-tech cartridges and Prime tech cartridges from Friction tattoo supply. From Friction is free shipping when you do a large order, I think you have to spend $85 .
So I know cartridges are expensive and it seems everyone is coming out with their own versions. I have tried the $20 dollars ones from China, and they sucks. can't line and they will fall apart if you are doing a big tattoo ha!...So I stick with T-tech and Friction.
so I have a system. that's why I mention the coils a lot in this video. when I do my big apoitments I use my cartridges, because it's easier to switch 4 to 5 difrent needles, but when it's slow and I do walk-ins I use my coils, because those small tattoo will pay for my next order of cartridges. I usually order one box of lines and shades for my coils for those small tattoos, and it pays off. ( sorry for the long explanation)

I will make another video here soon. I been using the hawk thunder, inkjecta, and different carriages. From T-techs to Envys from Tat-Soul , Prime Tech from Friction tattoo supply, and Cheyenne's. I will describe each machine and cartridge systems.
    Thank you guys for watching!
