Hey guys, Liam from Killer Ink here, and today I’m going to be showing you the Equaliser Drop Pen.
Designed by KWADRON in Poland, the Equaliser Drop Pen is a rotary tattoo machine with a compact, ergonomic shape that fits perfectly in your hand.
So let’s take a closer look…
Measuring just nine centimetres in length and 35 millimetres in width, the small size of the Equaliser Drop Pen makes it perfectly balanced and helps to reduce fatigue during long tattooing sessions.
At the heart of the Equaliser Drop Pen is a 6-Watt motor that guarantees a hard hit and allows the machine to excel at any and all style of tattooing, whether it’s lining, shading or colour packing.
The Drop Pen features a fixed 3.5 mm stroke and offers adjustable needle depth from zero to five millimetres. It also has a protected RCA connection here…
This cartridge-dedicated rotary is compatible with tattoo cartridges from all major brands, including KWADRON’s own branded versions, as well as those from the likes of Cheyenne, Magic Moon, Killer Ink, and DarkLab.
One of the smallest tattoo machines on the market, the Equaliser Drop Pen is available in three colours: Black, Grey, and Red, and can be ordered from Killer Ink via the link in the description below.
So what do you think of the Equaliser Drop Pen? Can you see it being your next rotary tattoo machine? Make sure to let us know in the comments below, and don’t forget to hit that like button and subscribe to our UA-cam channel! - Навчання та стиль
Nice one
Hi @Killer Ink Tattoo
Can you tell me which power supply do you reccomend for this machine? I have the Nemesis power supply but I am not sure if it is enough for a 6W motor machine. Thank you!!
Hi, the Nemesis power supply will be perfectly fine for running the Equaliser Drop Pen as they are both created by KWADRON.
I struggle with hand pain while tattooing (my knuckles mostly) and I can't decide whether I should buy this, because it's so small (but heavy) or a machine that is longer but lighter (like Equaliser Mikron Turbo).
Hi, it really just comes down to preference and the way you tattoo. Although the Drop Pen is not the lightest of rotaries, it is significantly lighter than coils. With the shorth length and larger width, it has a balanced design which helps to reduce hand strain during tattooing sessions.
If you would prefer a lighter machine, then yes the Equaliser Mikron Turbo would be a good choice!
Please feel free to email us at info@killerinktattoo.co.uk if you need more assistance on choosing your next machine :)
Would you be able to tell me if the fk irons lightning bolt battery pack will work with this? Or should I use an rca cord/ power supply strictly?
Hi Holly, the Lightning Bolt wouldn't fit the Drop Pen due to its shape, unfortunately.
What kind of machines can be used by starting tattoo artists? And which ones are the best to work with?
Hi, you can email info@killerinktattoo.co.uk and our team will be able to help you with this.
Which voltage do you recommend for lining, shading, color packin'?
I bought it..
Hi, recommended working voltage is between 5 and 9 Volts. Generally, use lower voltages for shading/colour packing and higher voltages for lining.
@@KillerInkTattooEU ok, that I know... I asked, because for other pens you have recommended more exact voltage power specifications...
What about using an autocalve to clean it,the grip? I have heard many say that the grip gets worse like rust so it does not fit in as smoot as before, like it jams up a bit. And also that ink, fluid, can travel up and therefore the machine is then useless cause the machine cant handle the autoclave. Is it necessary to have an autoclave to clean it or is it enough to clean it cold sterilization way?!
Hi Rita, the grip can be autoclaved and cold sterilised, but you'll need to mind any o rings or lubrication inside when doing so.
@@KillerInkTattooEU are there any disposable grips that works with the equaliser machines?
Unfortunately we don't stock any disposable grips for the Equaliser machines.
Hello. I bought this tattoo machine a few days ago ... I use a critical atom current source and even if I don't change the voltage the tattoo machine has moments when it slows down. the engine seems to want to stop. it is normal?? I have tried other power sources and it behaves the same way.
Hi, just to check, has Boost mode been engaged on the Atom? It has a split-second voltage spike and then slows down to the chosen voltage. If it's longer than a split-second and it's during usual use there may be an issue. If you purchased it from us, please drop an email about this to info@killerinktattoo.co.uk
Looks like ava gt smart.. can you do a comparison video?
Hi Mark, unfortunately we only do videos on products we stock and we don't have any plans on stocking the AVA GT smart at the moment.
Thanks for noticing.. 👍
Motor brand?
I am looking to purchase this item. What wire/wireless power supply will i need for the Equaliser Drop Pen?
Hey Cory, for a wireless power supply you could go for the FK Irons Darklab Lightning Bolt Universal, or Critical's Universal Battery (RCA connection)
However, it is compatible with most traditional power supplies.
I use Kwadron Needles, this machine would not hold those cartridges. It makes no sense since they made that machine (I think)
maybe there was an issue with that one I bought but I had to sell that ASAP. I hated the cartridge popping out of the machine during a tattoo.
Hi, the KWADRON cartridges should fit this machine fine. If you ordered cartridges from us, please email info@killerinktattoo.co.uk and one of the team will look into this.
Is this machine compatible with a critical wireless setup?
Hi, yes the Equaliser Drop Pen is compatible with the latest Critical Connect wireless products (batteries and pedal).
how do i disassemble the pen? top quality I can work well with it
Hi Jennifer, we wouldn't recommend full disassembly of the Equaliser Drop Pen.
This definitely does not sound like a review. Its just a paid promotion dude.
