I bought one after seeing your video and was looking at the quick installation guide it came with. Under the screen maintenace section it mentioned what sounds like a pixel clean after 4 hours of usage on the next power off and that it does pixel shifts too. I'm hoping the manual is accurate and that it does those things (without any menu settings involved).
Invest in your monitor people. It's the portal in which your games come alive. Good hdr in a game is an experience or just good black levels in a dark game will make you splooge.
Your review was really solid! I watched to see what I'm getting, and it seems about right for what I paid. My step son's monitor broke, so I'm giving him my current 27" 1440p IPS 180 hz monitor and bought myself this one. It caught me on the backfoot because I had very recently upgraded my GPU, so I didn't want to go too expensive. At the same time, I wanted 240hz and OLED to see what the rave is about. So this was as good of an excuse as any to make the leap.
@B_Machine hey how has the experience been with it. Does the brightness mode setting affect hdr? Not brightness level adjust there is a setting called brightness mode where you can choose normal or highlights.
@@gijoeljamesmaldonado after getting it yesterday did a quick setup make sure it’s fully optimized and played on it allday and wow It looks amazing plays amazing and the build quality is actually very solid didn’t expect the quality for price honestly
As I pointed out in the other video HDR on Xbox doesn't work at 1440p, it only works with the output set to 4k, it's a current limitation of the console and it doesn't matter if it's checked in the settings. If your display doesn't support 4k you don't have HDR, it's that simple.
Saying “do your research” doesn’t mean anything. I could say that back to you. Site the “research” you’re referring to if you have something to actually contribute.
@@1UpNerdcore google "series x 1440p hdr support" or you can find it in any 1440p monitor rting review. The console is almost 4 years old and no update has changed that.
@@1UpNerdcore microsoft disabled hdr on anything other than 4k, but if the monitor accepts a 4k signal and downscaled it to its native 1440p apparently it can still work.
Mine just came, and it makes very little noise when I adjust it. I think either they listened to your feedback or I just had good RNG. Either way I can confirm my new unit doesn't sound like that.
Great video, really good coverage of a lot of points worth considering. Im eyeing this as my entry point into 1440p/240 OLED, given that its avail for ~430 USD right now. The warranty and lack of burn in saving features are definitely concerning points. Do you have any information on the cooling solution they use on the monitor? Im debating whether or not this is a risk i want to take. On one hand, the price is amazing; on the other hand, if spending a few hundred more saves me from having to re purchase in about 2 years, im wondering what my choice will be.
After getting it for the price can’t beat it it’s a great display I personally am not worried about burn it I have never seen it ever out of any oled I have had with a lot of hours unless you just let it sit on a static image and it never sleeps sure mabye it can become a issue mine sleeps few minutes after I quit using it so I have 0 worry of that issue
I haven’t tried the AOC. I suspect it might be the same LG panel though. If it is look for the settings they offer in the panel menu and go with one offers more.
I have a question about the settings menu. I saw that there was a brightness mode option that was default to equilibrium. Can this setting be adjusted in hdr in a similar way that some oled have the option of either hdr tueblack 400 and peak 1000 mode?
@@1UpNerdcoreI agree. I have the Alienware aw3423dwf and it’s QDOled with a peak1000 mode. The ABL is so strong, it’s still pretty dim. I think this innocn monitor should be fine.
That's a limitation of OLED technology, if you want a super bright full screen image, buy an LCD, if you want a monitor that looks absolutely amazing, buy an OLED, I have a different version of this monitor with the same panel and I frankly think it looks amazing watching movies

If you’re using 10 bit color and the panel enables HDR then it’ll still be displaying HDR

is there any way to disable the auto dimming on the monitor? it's very distracting when gaming giving me a huge disadvantage
If it’s not in the panel menu section of the video then as far as I know you can’t disable it
@8:00. Brightness mode? Normal, Highlight, Equilibrium. Can you disable auto dimming with this?
16:00 ps5 vrr not supported it's because of the hdmi 2.0 it only works with hdmi 2.1
That doesn’t explain why it works on Xbox series x though
Man, it's $429 on amazon with free global shipping. I'm thinking of buying it but we have 220V systems here, any idea if it supports it?
You’d need a power converter for that.
How long is the warranty you got ؟
also pixel burn out?
I cover it in the video, it’s one year
Can you also take a look at the xiaomi g34wqi
Does anyone know the best settings with the odyssey g4
Should I get this or the Sony inzone m9 for my ps5?
I haven’t tried the m9 so I can’t speak on it unfortunately
I don’t like the speaker at the bottom though. Got me a G60SD instead.
Shoot, I'll take it over a sound bar on my desk or crappier built in speakers.
Edit: definitely wish it didn't have to be that way though.
i think there something wrong with this monitor 😐😐
why its too cheap comaring with others ?
I think it’s partly due to the lack of a long term warranty and the lack of OLED care features.
@@1UpNerdcore ahhaaa could be
Fullscreen brightness is way too low even flagship OLED monitors have less than 350 nits Fullscreen brightness.
I didn’t notice it that much honestly. If you play mostly bright games it might be a deal breaker but the 150 here is comparable to 250.
