    Cate received an 8 minute standing ovation in Venice for this film. She is a legend of her time, most film critics agree to this. As an actress she is completely fearless, and loses herself in each role she plays. I see her on screen and marvel at her talent. She's mesmerising and so is her voice - rich, deep, resonant. What a combination of skills!

      Because her films align perfectly with the NWO's agendas? I think let's stop pretending and start sharing the truth that this isn't so much about acting skills but abou the ability to convey their messages in every film imaginable and at every role imaginable.

    I have seen a trend lately, to going back to ambiguous trailers, giving you a a taste of the movie without spoiling it. Giving the audience a chance to go and see a movie in the theatre, knowing what they saw, was not only compelling but intriguing, without knowing the overall story and I am loving every second of it. Count me in for this one.

      Jesus Christ died for our sins, rose from the dead, and gives salvation to everyone who has faith in him. True faith in Jesus will have you bear good fruit and *drastically* change for the better! Those led by the Holy Spirit do not abide in wickedness. 👍🏾
      *God is ONE manifesting himself as THREE;* the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit! Bless him! *For these three are one.*
      As I am led by the Holy Spirit, nothing I state is a lie, but the truth of God. Anyone who tells you differently is misinformed or a liar. They do not know God, nor led by him.
      Anyone who *claims* to be a Christian and is against what I am doing, and where I am doing it; the Holy Spirit does not dwell within them, they lack understanding. This is a nuanced character study that will nothing but astound you. Cate Blanchett is sure shot lock for win Best actress next year. Have not seen any performance that has surpassed her this year, male or female.
    If you had to compare, she's mixture of Daniel day lewis in 'There will be blood' and Natalie Portman in 'Black Swan' but more subtle yet layered performance, that's impossible to ignore. I get why Todd Field had written this script for Ms Blanchett. There's no one but only Blanchett can pull this off. I can not imagine someone beating her for the Oscar. When she was explaining a Bach prelude to a student, it was exactly how a pianist studies Bach using voicing and dialogue. *TODD FIELD'S STATEMENT IN A RECENT INTERVIEW “This script was written for one artist, Cate Blanchett,” Field said in a director’s statement. “Had she said no, the film would have never seen the light of day. Filmgoers, amateur and otherwise, will not be surprised by this. After all, she is a master supreme. Even so, while we were making the picture, the superhuman-skill and verisimilitude of Cate was something truly astounding to behold. She raised all boats. The privilege of collaborating with an artist of this caliber is something impossible to adequately describe. In every possible way this is Cate’s film.”*

    For people wondering the music used in the trailer (starting from 0:07) is Ró by Icelandic contemporary classical composer Anna Thorvaldsdottir and shares some similarities with that of Hildur Gudnadottir who created the original music for TÁR.

    • @x.c.1706
      @x.c.1706 Рік тому

      Kind of weird considering that the character of Cate Blanchet in the film mocks the music of Anna Thorvaldsdottir in the scene with the students....I wonder what Thorvaldsdottir thinks about that. I read that several conductors and orchestra musicians are already saying that the portrayal of the conductor is implausible.

    • @daandevries4277
      @daandevries4277 Рік тому +1

      @@x.c.1706 I read about that after your message. My guess is that it's tongue in cheek on the one hand and also revealing something about the gender politics of Lydia Tarr. By championing some female composers and at the same time dismissing others she might validate her own artistic merits against accusations of positive discrimination. That being said I haven't seen the film yet (I'll have to wait till March unfortunately). Thorvaldsdottir has included the trailer on her website, so I'm assuming it was used with her permission.

    • @x.c.1706
      @x.c.1706 Рік тому +3

      I think that Gudnadottir is a great film score composer but Thorvaldsdottir is a composer of another caliber and another scale. The music in the trailer is more powerful than the original music scored for the film and the trailer is actually better than the film. Great acting though…. But as it happens in this kind of films , the recreation of the artist ends off being a kind of caricature.

I actually feel like the exciting part of her last few films in the Perky "Don't Look Up" and The Dangerous "Nightmare Alley" performances were great because of the fact that it felt like two performances that I've seen of hers that specifically spoke to the audience, "look at me acting".
