    I would like to see a compassion between S21FE with 60hz and 120hz. Many people suspect that the constant 120hz refresh rate that comes by default is what drains a lot of battery.

    This was a great video, thanks for doing this.
    I'm a longtime Note 9 user and think I'm finally gonna upgrade. The Note 9 is my favorite phone ever, and I'm only moving on because the battery is really weak these days (lasts for maybe 2 hours on high usage), and I've had a cracked screen for a while. I honestly considered just buying another Note 9, but I can justify investing in 4-5 year old technology at this point.
    I appreciate you lining the phones up like this and giving all their specs from phone size, battery, speed etc. I was thinking of getting a smaller phone, but I think I will end up getting the S22 ultra because of it's build. I love the way it looks in comparison to the other phones, and I'm a big s pen guy. I can deal with the slightly larger size, I think.
    Great work!

      @xalzor740 Рік тому +2

      I really think you should get the S21 Ultra
      If you check closely the S21 Ultra has a better speaker, better vibration motor

      I would try to get the Snapdragon version if possible

    • @alexd.3048
      @alexd.3048 Рік тому +1

      Dude, same here. The note 9 simply was the best in every category a couple years ago, but the fact Android 10 won't be supported anymore in a few months, the battery being dead, shattered screen, PLUS Green-Screen bug... It's just better investing in a new phone.
      I think I will either take the 22U or 22+... but the 22U has the selling points: S-Pen, Display and Camera, Storage...

    • @alexd.3048
      @alexd.3048 Рік тому +1

      @@xalzor740 What about longtime usage? Meaning Software and hardware just being "newer2?

    Thank you for the great video! Can you please make a battery drain test with those phones on standby? Usually Samsung phones after 1 or 2 major updates tent to drain fast ( no matter the clear cash partition or factory reset). The S21 is reported by a lot forums that drains faster on android 12. I'm searching for a new phone and I am between S21 and S21 FE or S21+. Can you enlight me about their battery life in real life conditions? Meaning a lot of idle time. Thank you in advance. Jim

    This is a very interesting video having bought an Exynos S21+ a few days ago. The phone clearly has a much lower battery test score than the Snapdragon version as told by DXOMark. But i've seen several videos that is the contrary. Is it because Samsung has pushed several software updates to maximise the efficiency of the battery? Having had Android in the past 11 years I can say I've pretty much done all the battery saving tips & tricks under the sun apart from rooting the thing. So, is there anything else I need to be doing?
    And is it advisable to leave the phone charged overnight so I can have fresh 100% by the time I wake up to go to work?

    • @khushpreetsinghgrover72

      Overnight charging is not good at full potential charging speeds. It is better to charge your phone at 10watts max if you are doing Overnight charging.
      Go to settings >device care>battery>more battery settings >disable the fast charging option.
      No wonder why my s10 plus has more battery health than my brother's iPhone xs max. We both bought the same phone at the same time.
      He uses fast charging till date. It barely lasts 5 hrs my goes till 15 percent till mid night.
      Don't use fast charging Overnight.
      My s10 plus still has 88 percent battery.

      @@khushpreetsinghgrover72 Interesting. I will do that overnight. So far with 3 days of use I observed the standby time of my S21+ is great. But when you are actually using it the battery life could be better.

  • @rn8306
    @rn8306 Рік тому +1

    In my opinion any battery/phone which can last for 7 hrs minimum on a single day of heavy usage is good for todays standards. 8 hrs is great and anything more than that is a bonus.
    Normally we are not going to use our phones non-stop. All of these phones should be able to easily get you through a normal day, especially if all you do is browse, play a few videos and make/take a few calls.
    Battery tests are usually quite demanding on the phones ( constantly playing videos/playing games for hours). These tests tend to drain the batteries quickly and are supposed to simulate a very demanding days usage, far more than we usually would during a normal day. Seeing as battery technology in general does not seem to improve much, this also means that we are generally running larger and generally more demanding phone on the same batteries of the older models. The only difference seems to be the battery size which has gone up from 3000 to 5000 in the last 6 years.
    All in all, as long the the phones can last for a full day without dying, that's all we need.
    That said...I'd hope that better batteries which can last for longer than a single day could be created at some point. But I guess that will only happen when and if the current batteries can't handle the ever increasing demands of newer phones of the future.

  • @icaroabilio

    I used Google translater:
    Hello, it would be interesting if you put the average result of milliamps of the batteries since you were able to measure how long they lasted in hours. In this case, this would give a notion of efficiency in relation to other models. For example:
    S22 has 3700mAh and lasted about 7.35 hours. Doing a fraction, we would have a load consumption of 503.4 mA
    If we compare it with the S21+ where it took 9.03 hours with 4800mAh, we will have a charge consumption of 531.56 mA.
    That is, we have 5.59% more consumption than the S21+ for the S22, but in terms of durability, we have 22.86% more battery life. However, it is good to note that the S21+ has about 1100mAh more than the S22, that is, we have 29.73% more battery in the S21+ compared to the S22.
    So, if by chance both had the same battery level (4800mAh), the S22 would be more efficient! Because with the S22 it would last approximately 9.53 hours vs 9.03 hours for the S21+! (9:31 versus 9:02 for the S21+)
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
