    The Ancient Greek's theory of "Chaos" being the first entity and the catalyst for creation, lines up to our modern theory of the Big Bang

    • @petergraywolf6671
      @petergraywolf6671 3 роки тому

      Of course. Same as us living in simulation, lines up with hindus and other views that are living inside godhead , that life is a dream of a sleeping god.

      @@petergraywolf6671 Not sure what you're referring to. I meant that the "Big Bang" is essentially pretty chaotic in nature, the first deviation that allowed the universe to exist as it does today (with help from the force of "Order" that allowed bodies to form and stay together.)

      @@petergraywolf6671 True. If Moana is accurate to polynesian beliefs, then they somehow knew that there originally wasn't any land.
      (Though I don't know how far back these beliefs would have developed if this is the case)

      @@caramelch.919 i was mainly curious about the core beliefs, about the same things across all (or atleast most) religions.
      And chaos, which is infinite yet unable to be defined in any kind of way, being there before ,,big bang" is something that repeats basically everywhere
      then it created some kind of god and goddess, or black god and white god... duality... in order to be able to speak about this undescripable infinity
      its kinda like computers, first there are infinite possibilities, then thru zeros and ones you manage to create basically anything :)

    I feel that more often than not, especially in Orphism, it's Nyx (not Gaea) who is the eldest of the primordial offspring of Khaos. She's also usually the first or second (after Phanes) ruler of the cosmos.

    the more interesting about this is how very eeriely cosmic-horror (Lovecraftian-like) some parts of this creation actually are inspired regarding all the darkness cthtonic deities as Chaos, Tartarus, Nyx and Erebus, or even somehow Ponthos and Thalassa or the Mountains at this scheme of action.

      That's exactly how most creation myths started. First though, there's a COMMON ANCESTRY among all ancient people's and so a common creation myth that was altered to suit the different cultures, beliefs, and eventually the Races that evolved from that common ancestrial stock. You answered your own question. I'll be looking you up. I love good mythology and I haven't learned Asian mythology as a whole yet.

      I think it's because of the difference in Mythology depending on the sources. There are sources that say Eros was a primordial while other myths and poets say that he was the son of Aphrodite (This one is usually the preferred material so it doesn't get confusing). Some scholars believe that the two Eros' were completely separate beings, just coincidence in name.

    • @JonathanEspinosaDuarte
      @JonathanEspinosaDuarte 3 роки тому

      From my previous knowledge Eros elder came to be as a ‘sibling’ of Nyx & Erebus as more of a personification of ‘love & procreation’ when they laid eyes on each other. While in some sources Eros doesn’t come till later as a deity my understanding is that Eros elder & Eros are different beings while Eros elder came to be from a mix of Nyx, Erebus & Khaos as the original ‘idea’ of love. This is why in some sources he isn’t included as a son of Khaos. (Did my best to explain my findings as simple as I could this one does vary from source to source.)

    I thought I've either read or heard every greek creation myth but never have I ever heard of Chaos as female and "first true immortal". 95%(I'm being generous with that) of all greek mythology stories says "in the beginning was Chaos and from Chaos sprang Gaea, fairest of the fair, first immortal, mother of all, etc.. I'd love to research the source material of this story about Chaos being a female immortal and I'm guessing technically "mother of all". See how with that one inconsistency you've taken the "Mother of all" from Gaea and gave it to the formless void of Chaos?

    The concept of christianity of male first created is contrary in the Greeks. Chaos is a woman and she first created Gaia. Which is woman. And she gave birth to Ouranus. In Christianity Adam, then Eve

    Thank you so much for the content. I'm curious, though. Can you share more depth on the following:
    First to emerge from chaos, was a dark skinned woman. How?
    A moment after her emergence, she made dirt which brought a dark skinned man with diamond-like skin into being. The third to arrive was a light skinned woman… again, how?

      You're asking how a made up primordial god was able to form things out of nothing? Its mythology and they're supposed to be gods, they're not limited by genetics and evolution. I mean... literally the goddess of love was born out of a severed nut sack, asking ''how'' is beyond reasoning.

      This story cause that's easy? Details are different points of reference in a story. Like in this one Chaos was first. Then from Chaos came Gaea. See? 2 points right there. Then what came with or after Gaea. Then what came from that. Before you know it you'll have what you require. Hope this helps.

    • @omniavanitas7893
      @omniavanitas7893 3 роки тому

      Why would it be male? Its sex is never specified because it is not personified in the way Gaia, Ouranos or Nyx are, but given that it essentially gave birth to Erebos and Nyx I can understand why it might be thought to be female.

    Friend you are correct to almost all of that ...❤️the only mistake is the that in Greek the word or name chaos is it (το ) χάος... chaos so it is not a girl because otherwise it would be (η) χάος or chaos... who is not so...the (το)in English it is the (it and them)...so it doesn't have a gender at all...
