Hello!! I would love to help you with your move! Do you want to hop on a zoom call sometime? Feel free to reach out to me, my number is 608-206-4294. Have a great day!
@@movingtomadisonwisconsin I want to find an appartment and move within the next few months. My position at work is one where I can't just take time off so now that I found a replacement to take my place in September I can start looking and move anytime.
Pretty accurate, except for the part about snow in May. It almost never snows in May. According to one weather website I just visited, Madison averages 0.1 day of snowfall in May, which I guess means that on average it snows one day every 10 years in May. In fact, we don't typically get much snow in April, either. According to that same website, the average is 1.9 days of snow in April,.
Honestly I think the hardest part is adjusting to the lack of sunshine, more than anything else. You have to have great outdoor gear, and find ways to still enjoy the outdoors in order to survive here. That is easy to do with a little effort, but getting vitamin D is a challenge!! Will you be buying or renting when you get here?
@@movingtomadisonwisconsin Luckily I have had experience in CT with a similar weather to WI. We are going to purchase a home. Its at a new development.
Thank you, this is helpful!
This is such great information! We are looking to move from Florida and I have been looking for this info!

I went to Madison in February. Everyone complained about the cold but I loved it. I do live in New Hampshire so I'm used to it.
When will you become a Wisconsinite?!

Below zero with wind is the worst. Even my dog does her business fast and runs back to the door barking in that kind of weather.

We are moving to Madison in December. The snow and the temperature are going to be challenging for us.
