good review, however ninja 400 can be a better buy as compared to 650, considering power to weight ratio, better ground clearance and slightly better sporty nature of two, additionally its saves almost 1 lakh rs. so its other way around.

What is the purpose of that saree / dupatta guard ? India is probably the only country where you'll find this and the Kawasaki management team must be laughing at us.
Souptik Ferdinand Gupta there are traditional indian feminine dresses that involve a lot of loose cloth/fabric.... Namely the saree and dupatta. Well what used to happen was that this cloth of women pillion riders got tangled with the tires, chain etc and resulted in choking, accidents or death, until the saree guard was made mandatory to prevent this.
I think this move was justified. Other manufacturers try to work this into the design, including Yamaha. There is no reason that Kawasaki shouldnt be able to do it too.

It is already popular...price will most probably be reduced when local assembly of ninja 400 starts...anyways..this is the best in its class..whether its refinement,performance,reliability or any other aspects of a good performance motorcycle...and in terms of looks or fit and finish it is years ahead of its competition..just have remove the ugly saree guard and grab rails though...

Thumbs-up for the video but thumbs down for the price, saree guard, grab rail n fuel tank.
I am doing 300+ in 12 litres before i refuel . good enough for even Touring. Saree guard and grab rail can be removed from showroom itself . At 49HP it can overshadow a 500cc mill like CBR500

Kawasaki bikes just dominate the market by their performance otherwise they're nothing in front of their competitors. Im writing this in 2022 where the competitors of ninja 300 are full of features and performance too like the apache rr310

Its the same reason why people dont buy the beginner bikes here in the EU. The difference would only be around 2K to 3K between a beginner and a middle weight. The only reason why the 390, R3 or the 400 sell is because they have something called A2 license if the driver is between 19 to 20 yr old in which the power output should not cross 47bhp.
AS Tony Styles why would we choose a 400cc bike which has price similar to 650cc bikes well ninja 300seems more practical tbh
None of them are value for money. Buy a maruti suzuki swift petrol instead. You'll get 1300cc. Acceleration and handling are excellent. Good for touring as well.

In USA Kawasaki replaced the 300 with the 400 but did not increase the price.
The rear looks too skinny compared to the heavy front, bit disproportionate like the r15 v2.

the Tnt300, R3, N300 and Duke 390 feel cheaper but are way better if you consider the pricing and their power.
they have quite a good amount of power.

Omg 5l is to too much,I don't complain Ninja for this, it's becuz it's cbu and local manufacturing will give it around 3l , but for now if I had 5l , I would have gone for Hyosung GTR 650R which will kill all bikes including the new Ninja 650, and is only 60000 expensive than Ninja 400, the ONLY compromise will I face the quality and service and spares parts, which I have mechanics for, other than that the vtwin will do an onslaught to most of the bikes, the bike has been dominating since ages but hasn't marketed well yet, it can even manage to keep up with CBR 650f with right ECU flash and other modes you can keep up with z800 too until 200 which is too great for the price of 5,60l

they screwed the pricing, WHO on earth wants a 400cc when they can afford a good 600cc which sound and perform like a sports bike. Are they even thinking of this daily riding bike as a sports bike? under 50HP without giving a good sound it hardly a proper sports bike and that's y the pricing is just stupid.
