How do you use it?
@@JCapriGaming try explosive payload (15%) + one for all (35%). thats a total of 50% dmg buff. it melts. best kinetic for me. but id still pick zaolis if im not using buried bloodline

The midnight coup will be best in kinetic slot once it can be enhanced while lunas will be 2 best legendary solar energy followed by zaoulis. I believe Bungie said that the harrowed versions will be enhanceable too.
Enhanced KT may push it into ZB territory. But as it is currently, I'm not too big a fan of it.
Lunas howl just doing 15% less damage than zaoulis just makes it worse. You don’t need heal clip if you’re already running solar. So many ways to heal yourself.
You don’t need to run healing nades or any of the corresponding fragments, you can focus on making things explode bigger and faster. Heal clip also gets your abilities faster in a fireteam with that fragment what’s it called.
15% body increase and 10% grit increase. That’s why I was tempted to put it in Top tier whenever. But it’s not such a gap to make it the obvious pick. I still put heal clip Lunas howl over ZBane. Because heal clip adds a healing option on top of every build. But I can see the argument for having ZBane there as well!
Love this point! Running heal clip properly easily opens up your fragments/grenade (on solar).
The healing alone makes it amazing, we are dealing with red bars with it. And for that reason its awesome. Also it looks cooler, and has a shiny so opinion rejected, also easier to hit shots.
More value for a nade centric hunter build

I agree that Luna's Howl is a very nice hand Cannon, I have a few... HC+KC and EA+Incandescent are my current stand outs. It's smooth and sounds very nice... definitely top tier but I gotta say Midnight Coup is a much better hand cannon ( I have a few) my favourite roll is FF + Rampage. I take it everywhere and it destroys yellow bars and crushes red bars.
The best part is that FF procs Rampage and Rampage is stackable damage.
There are so many great Midnight Coup rolls... but FF+Rampage is S tier and I'm not sure why more people aren't talking about it....🍻

Sorry, you are not being objective with Fatebringer. There is this thing called weapon stats. Fatebringer is insane. Literally just insane. It powercreeps every handcannon. Free 15% damage buff, can roll with adclear and champion rolls (firefly, frenzy), and its partially immune to fallout damage (plus having even more damage due to explosive payload).
All the other handcannons assessments are right, but none still takes Fatebringer spot as the king of handcannons.
Fatebringers stats are great, but incandescent >> firefly. And for the most part I’m not using my handcannon to deal with champs. Thanks for watching! Love the valid response, it really just comes down to your preference/loadout.
Supremacy and the other kinetic slot specials just outdo the energy specials. Which in turn make the energy handcannons that much better to me.

I mean it’s like any other biased ranking video I’ve put out😂 purely my opinion based on my experience with the rolls I’ve gotten. I’ll make a full ranking vid (objectively) soon. But yes imo heal clip puts it past all the other weapons.

Also people saying zaoilis is better are dumb. Damage isn't everything, sure having 15% is nice but lets be real we are using this for ad clear and red bars.
With lunas you get
- aoe solar
- precision
- great reload
- healing
- gernade or melee regen
With zaoulis you get.....
- aoe solar
- a little bit extra damage
Yeah I love ZB but the 15% isn’t that noticeable. You’re either one tapping red bars in low dif content (Lunas does that as well) or taking multiple shots to finish red bars in harder content (Same as Luna). So I’d rather take the extra healing if the outcome is the same.
Yeah no. You’re calling the gun that has the “sunshot roll” worse than the gun that provides healing? I took luna’s howl into nezarec sublime and it felt noticeably worse than zaouli’s bane. The great thing about zaouli’s bane is that it also clears orange bars VERY well even at -20. And if your argument that luna’s howl is better at easier content, that doesn’t even make sense because at easier content shouldn't it be easier to survive? Are you also implying that luna's howl is better than sunshot because you don't "need" the extra damage for red bars?

Yes! I don't really bring HCs in harder content (because other weapon types do the job a lot better imo). It is easier to survive but I simply like having the healing as well. At the end of the day, I simply enjoy Heal Clip over a bit more damage in low tier content. Which in turn pushes me to rank Luna's Howl over Zaouli's Bane. And as I said in the video I was debating throwing ZB in the (Top Tier Whenever) rank, but heal clip was just more fun to me, so I left a tier below.

Because I'd never use these hand cannons in harder content. I prefer scouts/pulses/smgs instead.
is actively using heal nade in gameplay gases up heal clip for solar build when you can just use said heal nade and Empyrion and the actual better hand cannon of zoulis which just does 15% more damage because of ep or any of the other 32 ways solar can heal. The only argument to be made for lunas and heal clip is off of solar and even then its only really an argument to be made for like arc titan maybe (its about to get some buffs to knockout) and stasis classes again maybe about to get some buffs. Oh but muh ember of benevolence on solar we quite literally have infinite ability uptime no matter what class you are on there is no reason for you to not be able to heal unless you are like majorly skill issuing or if there is nothing on screen to kill
I use heal made because I’m a lazy slob when it comes to actually switching off of things in my builds😂Ive been running this build since the season started so excuse me for not properly switching to a different nade my friend. Heal clip on Heliocentric and Luna’s Howl puts them in a tier above their respective counterparts in my opinion.
helio definitely has a better argument then lunas because your in sidearm distance which is just more dangerous in most cases then hc distance but I just don't see healing especially on like not smgs or sidearms as a draw when we have so many healing methods already and things with lacking healing are about to catch some reworks

I’m just not using a handcannon when it comes to harder content. Heal clip’s top tier for the activities I take handcannons into.
HEAL CLIP WHAT. literally heal clip is pointless (I've never used it)
They buffed it! Cure 2x for the user and cure 1x for nearby teammates! Literally propels the Heliocentric sidearm into being one of the best pve sidearms in the game imo.
i get the video is your opinion or whatever but the objective ranking of these guns seems to not make much sense, heal clip is only ever going to be needed if you are constantly being pelted with damage but with luna doing less dmg than zaoulis and having less range its only going to get you hit more when you are needing to be closer range to enemies , also the fact you get 2-3 shot by almost anything when you're 15+ under makes situations where you'll actually have the time to reload and proc heal clip almost never happen, there are also way more options for on demand healing in destiny be that devour or recuperation or even healing nades, heal clip is extremely situational at best,
Midnight coup is insane and is only going to get better the common misconception is that the god roll is firefly tremors as firefly is more useful in casual content and tremors in harder content, explosive payload tremors is an insane roll that makes the gun almost feel exotic with how fast you can kill tougher enemies,

I'm sorry bro but this list is awful, lunas is fun in some low-mid tier content but Zaouli’s bane is the best hand cannon in the entire game IF NOT the best legendary energy slot primary weapon. As someone else mentioned missing out on that 15% damage is super detrimental and for contest raids or stuff like pantheon or just end game content in general you have to deal with shielded enemies and explosive payload does more damage to shielded enemies and this applies to the fact that you can't consistently hit crits against some races so explosive payload applies there too.

Nice. Luna's still more fun. Also I tried the one for all + ep roll in legend onlsaught. And it was still a huge disappointment, really preferred the ep+ incandescent roll.
