    I got back with the family after a week in Nerja from Malaga on Tuesday with EasyJet into Glasgow on a 3 year old 320 Neo with the new cabin. EasyJet as always did exactly what it said on the tin, a perfectly adequate flight.
    However I definitely noticed less legroom with the new seats, I’m 6ft 5” & having 2 young kids these days I can’t go for the extra legroom seats. The legroom is definitely less than I remember on previous EasyJet flights & whoever designed the seat pocket needs a word with themselves 🤣
    Good video 👍🏻

      Cheers Andrew - glad you enjoyed. I'm 5' 11" and still find the legroom a bit on the tight side at times - but mainly when they are using the A319s with the older seats. Have a trip to ALC coming up in a couple of months, so will see how that pans out - but as you say, they usually have a fairly reliable product and you know what to expect. Just hope they don't run out of the majority of food options by the time they get to row 5 this time round!

      @@GLAFly We were in row 4 & of course they had run out of ice by the time they got there
      😩😩🤦🏼‍♂️ They lost a G&T sale! 🤣🤣

      @@andrewmorton3177 when we were going to and coming back from ALC they were out of most of the hot food options (bacon roll, pizza, etc) by row 9 (where we were) - bearing in mind the A319 has 26 rows. Not the crew's fault, but woefully understocked.

    Good vid! Bet it was toasty in that boarding finger... It is annoying when airlines do that

      "Oven fresh" is the phrase you're looking for! Yeah - we stood for ages in the jet bridge corridor on two separate occasions - was about 20 minutes in all - and as you noted, those bits are not air conditioned. Still, the plane was nice and cold when I got on, so there's that! Was a nice and scenic flight - think I'll need to go back there again and do a bit of sight seeing round the island. Or maybe start a US trip with that quirky United seasonal flight to Newark 😁.

    nice vid mate you can certainly tell your flying into glasgow with the change in weather…..i’ve just seen dad off to glasgow on QF9 PER-LHR it was a nice 37oC when he left he’s probably frozen stiff now 😂

      Ouch! Thats going to be quite the climate adjustment - its a high of 7oC here today (high of 1 tomorrow 😱), so only a few degrees of a difference 🤣. Glad you enjoyed the video 👍

    Hey! Great vid! How many flights do you try to catch a month? I would love to do something like this ... flight reports! Do you do a lot of research to get low prices? Thanks

      Cheers - glad you enjoyed it! Mine are a mixture of good flight deals (found from research on places like Flyertalk - a great resource if you've not been on it), using some of my BA Avios, and searching tools like Google Flights. If you're looking to do some cool trips on a limited budget, then Google Flights is a great starting place - you can click on "explore" and just put in your starting point - it will suggest loads of destinations and show you the cheapest flights - you can great deals (just doing a quick search just now, i can see a return to Barcelona for £68 with Easyjet, Geneva for £40 return, Malaga for £56 return, etc). You can also search for 1-way flights - sometimes doing two one-way flights can be cheaper too. Loads of good resources online to use to find them, but i'd also suggest visiting my good mate Matt's channel over at Matt's Planet and look for his video ua-cam.com/video/y_sxBjvPyuI/v-deo.html which goes through some of the great online tools you can use. Asfor doing your own trip reports - go for it! The more the merrier, and if you do, come back and let me know - would love to watch it. Trust me - if I can do it, anyone can!

    This may be a very odd comment, however I am flying from Glasgow to palma in May and I am absolutely petrified of the flight. Would you be able to reply with how you felt the flight was, like where there a lot of turbulence, longer than expected ? Or if anyone else has any advice 🤣…. Thank you !

    • @GLAFly
      @GLAFly  Рік тому

      It's not an odd question at all, Ally. When I did the flight it was really smooth and uneventful for the entire flight (same with the flight out). We had a few mild wobbles when we were on our final approach to Palma on the outbound, but nothing I'd note as being "bumpy" (and even after 400+ flights in my life, I'm still not a fan of turbulence) or out of the ordinary for any other flight. Have you selected your seats for the flight yet? If not, sometimes having seats nearer the middle of the aircraft (over the wings) can reduce the feeling of any turbulence and if you're a really nervous flyer then I'd recommend letting the flight attendants know when you board - they are usually excellent at helping reassure nervous passengers. Do you know who you are flying with?

      @@GLAFly no we haven’t booked our flights yet. I will definitely keep this in mind. We are flying in May. I think we are going to fly with Jet2.. I’ve not been on a flight in years due to the absolute fear. I’ve been researching to try help with my fear, but leads me down a rabbit hole of all the horrible things that can go wrong 🤦‍♀️ thank you so much for replying.

    • @GLAFly
      @GLAFly  Рік тому

      @@allybell1994 it's genuinely one of the safest forms of transport statistically - and aircraft are designed to put up with a ridiculous amount of turbulence safely (even if passengers wouldn't enjoy the experience). If you're on Twitter, ping me a message @gla_fly - I could probably stick a tweet out to some of the pilots I follow online to see if there is any advice they can offer to reassure you. Don't think I've any Jet2 or EasyJet pilots there, but certainly have some TUI and BA pilots - and cabin crew.
