This is an excellent tutorial, the explanations and details are superb, thank you. When modding my cables I plan on also shortening existing cables. Will you be going into something like this in the future with explanations on different wire gauges, connectors, and pin types? Looking forward to more tutorials.
If I have a fully modular power supply could I do this to get the length of each cable exactly right and minimise the need for management? Or would you not recommend using this as a straight from power supply cable?
what do you call the male/female terminals? (cant hear what you called them in this video) also where can i get the male/female plastic 24pin/8pin cases? i cant visit the site on the description... it says "site cannot be reached"
so if I would do this to my 24 pin connector, there isn't any difference between the cables and there can't go anything wrong as long as I line up all the cables correctly?
One question.. i have PSU Chieftec model: CFT 650 14CS .. i dont have any modular cable for that PSU.. How can i order cables couse cables are diferent from model to model of PSU.. Ty for support
Jan-Christopher Estelmann I know the feel, thats why i don't like europe. The US has it way better with shipping. And if it shipps to the EU only Germany and not Austria :(
Could someone explain the wiring diagram. It almost seems he's plugging in the wires at random. For example, I have a modular psu, I'm making all my own custom wires and sleeving them all. Since my PSU is modular, both sides of my wires will have female ends. For example, to power my GPU it takes an 8pin and 6pin connector. There are 6pin and 8pin connectors available on my PSU. Since im going from female to female, do I wire pin 1 to pin 1 and pin 2 to pin 2 and so forth? Or is it something completely different? I don't want to blow up my components and I have yet to find anyone explain that part (which is super important for obvious reasons) in custom sleeving guides.
Can anyone explain why people choose to do extensions rather than sleeving the original whole cable itself? Extensions create more cables and makes it so difficult to do cable management. I've seen everyone do it but no one ever gives a good reason why they do it. Someone explain please.
just wondering you say this is going to be in parts and this is part ONE that was released 7 months 3 weeks ago where is part two?????????????????????????? I have clicked like as I do like this but would like more
pfff this is time consuming? :O. im doing this shit by hand with pliers, scissors, and really fine flat head screw driver. crap has taken about a week. with this stuff i could have been done in one night :|
is there ever going to be a part 2?
no man. im comin from future and it wont be!
This was a VERY well done sleeving guide. Thanks PCPartPicker.

Thanks for the video... just a quick question... what kind of wire is that?!? Silicone 18awg?!?
This is why I love this channel! Thank you!!!
beautiful work
When shall we be blessed with Part 2? Anxiously awaiting!
Hasn´t he released Part 2? By the way, it is already 2021 and this was posted in 2015!

Awesome your video
Can we make wiring for any model of power supplie
Antec edge 650w +80 gold
Is there going to be a video on how to do the entire wire that goes from psu to motherboard/graphic cards?
When is part 2 coming?
The orientation of the pins doesn't matter when you're crimping them?

Lavins kickin' ass.

Will this be less expensive than a cablemod-kit ? under 100 bucks ?
Should be, paracord isnt that expensive and i dont think the wire and connectors either. Might be wrong though
Penta YOOO the complicated thing will be for me in europe to get the connectors and the other stuff :D .... hallo Hongkong^^ hallo shipping ^^
Jan-Christopher Estelmann Ebay maybe? Or some sites that sell pc parts. I know they sell paracord on Ebay
Penta YOOO i know ^^ but shipping is expansive .. or waiting 4 weeks with cheap shipping :)

your make look say easy. great job.
how do you take the wire out if you've made a mistake ?
where is the dual xeon build stream ???
Thank you 🙏
how much longer do you make the upper cables that it is curve ? sry for my bad english :/
Blade did a bad ass job with this review, absolutely perfect video :D
Nice video! Thanks!

Silly question but why isn't the wire ruined when you use water to seal the paracord?
+Cool7141 The water is only to prevent your fingers from getting burned when touching the metled paracord.
love this thanks
with which PSU will this work?
you make it look so easy. sorry for the spelling
Excellent....
Where is part 2 and 3?
gauge cable?

Asking the right questions here
Extensions are generally compatible with every power supply. They are also cheaper most of the time.
+railpressureflip If you want to use sleeved cables on another psu maybe. Most pc cases nowadays have ample cable management space.
well you could just get a modular psu and sleeve the cables, but its down to personal preference.
its been almost 4 years...where is part 2...or 3...
Make sure you subscribe because there will be a part 2.... Hit that subscribe.... Do IT!! JUST DO IT!! Part 2 is coming....
can't find the second part so...
audio volume is way too low
+Tyler Watthanaphand Doh. We'll make sure the follow-up videos are set properly.
+PCPartPicker Despite the audio, this video was really helpful, and it didn't do much harm turning the volume up a little. Thank you.
just wondering you say this is going to be in parts and this is part ONE that was released 7 months 3 weeks ago where is part two??????????????????????????
I have clicked like as I do like this but would like more
+Roy Telling Unfortunately we won't be following up with the later parts. Blake in the video is no longer with PCPartPicker.
OK thanks for the info
When I move and set up my new monitor I will be ordering and change out my GPU, I am probably going to sleeve all my cables like this.
Upload more often!
Part two ?
part 2 pls lavins
i have a psu pin extractor set and a pin removal tool but i sold my pc does anyone wanna buy this let me know
a/s/l?
The audio is not loud enough, and you should've zoomed the camera even more. Good vid tho
Part 2: A Feature Film.
And Im just sitting here multiplying everything by 2,54 :D ... nice tutorial ;)
pfff this is time consuming? :O. im doing this shit by hand with pliers, scissors, and really fine flat head screw driver. crap has taken about a week. with this stuff i could have been done in one night :|
definitely tedious, but entirely worth the effort.
\o/ #PcPartPickerTechTips
not esey for non-modualr PSU
Sunk
"Teach you"? Are u our teacher?
Sorry what exact sleeve and wire?
Where is part 2 ?
