When you hear this kick drum, you know damn right you are listening to hardstyle. This is the kick used in 95% of hardstyle drops

I understood something: Besides the sound design( I believe every artist has its own unique sound design) and arrangement, maybe the differences between pro and others are just mixing & mastering
and melodies and some other things to... but yeah, also mixing and mastering...

Can you explain, how to master kick and melody, so they not overlapping each other. I alway had an issue with this. Kick/melody is not present enough or loosing volume...Thank you BTW great track.

3:50 how can i make that effect when the rather clear melody gets a bit distorted over time?
Derlol with a distortion plugin and automationclips. But i’ve just used a distorted bass :)

Can you tell me, what do you use choir plugin?
I used the Direct Wave plugin from FL Studio it selves.
this may sound like a stupid question but other than buying the software for my computer do I physically need to go out and buy a keyboard or some other sort of musical instrument to get going with this studio software

Heyy!! I recommand you to just watch a lot of tutorials on youtube and practice as much as you can in fl studio or your other daw of choice. You'll be bad in the beginning but you'll get better soon and i dont know if there is really something that you should mess with first because you basically need to know a little bit of "everything" (daw, melodies, chords, sounddesign?, plugins, samples) so yeah! :) good luck and have fun mate!

The hardest part and biggest turn off really is the kick. I have so many ideas for melodies and can play the piano quite well by now, but whenever I try to follow a tutorial on kicks I feel like the author is speaking another language. I just can't get behind it.
I know that feeling, had this a long time as well...
Best thing for drops is to just put fast dist on the master, it will give the whole beat more of a distorted authentic hardstyle feel. Also try putting blood overdrive on the kick, works really well in combination with fast dist on the master I found. As for patterns it's just 4 on the floor with some variation. I got the hang of it pretty fast but found out that many hardstyle tracks use a lot of distortion. Anything by Mqx is a good example.

What program do you use to make music
FL studio. It's a DAW (digital audio workstation) that's used for music production. There are others too like Ableton Live, Logic Pro, etc.
It's so annoying how you make it look so easy when's fucking hard, at least for me, and year y love this video's haha.

For hardstyle its probably better when you just choose triplet OR duplet and stick to it ;)

@@larseissink99 Depends on context I think, cause ye, they can be really cool if done properly but maybe dont do it with one of the main elements. If you pull that off and manage to make it sound amazing, please please prove me wrong but so far, everytime I heard it it pulled me out of the vibe of the song.
