      I love how the deeper into the lore you dive, the more abjectly terrifying it becomes. Like how the giant enemy spider that you think is the servant is akin to a mass of dead skin cells... i.e. human hair. And has that same level of importance compared to the real body as hair is for humans...

      I love how, as you defeat ORT, and put chinks in the armor of this previously unassailable threat. The Ultimate One of the Oort Cloud, recognized both In Universe and Out as THE most powerful being we're aware of. Its theme becomes more and more like the norm for the franchise.
      From the heavy and ominous synth that sounds more like it belongs in a sci-fi thriller that serves as the theme for the "Day of ORT" hopeless fight
      To a version that sounds more like actual battle music, with a faster pace, but gaining more traditional instrumentation as well, serving as the fight against the Crystal Spider
      The Galactica Supercell reveals itself as the true body of ORT, and the theme shifts to be more in line with Lancer Artoria's boss theme, showing that we've brought ORT down to the realm of "mere" God.
      and finally, ORT-Xibalba, the Grand Foreigner, the weakest ORT has ever been. Forced to play entirely under the rules of the Supreme Reality Marble - Gaia, because it has made itself a Servant by hacking access to the Root. And the theme has none of ORT's sci-fi and synth, entirely becoming a theme of fantasy. Showing that ORT is no longer beyond our grasp, for this version at least, Humanity can fight and WIN against the unbeatable.
      Proper Human History ORT is remains beyond Humanity's grasp, but the ORT of this Lost Belt? It can be reached by human effort, the untouchable star devouring beast can be reached, and it can be KILLED.

    The fact that gudako/ritsukas profile with the new mystic code becomes more desperate, deranged, and then "just fucking die already" throughout all of this is the icing on top. That is how you know... Angel Notes is going to be built different.

    • @Raptor747
      @Raptor747 Рік тому +20

      Angel Notes features two champions: a guy with a gun that can kill Ultimate Ones in a single shot, and another superhuman guy with a weapon that is about as powerful (but can be even more powerful if need be).
      If the Gun God were in LB7, he'd just take aim at ORT and fire his Black Barrel and kill ORT in one shot (or two, if he aimed at the spider first). Of course, that doesn't take anything away from how insanely powerful and terrifying ORT is. LB7 has done a great job establishing that all of the hype about how scary ORT is is fully justified. Either you get a human with the Black Barrel a clear shot at ORT, or you pray you have a massive roster of some highly powerful Servants on hand to just have a slim chance.

      @@Raptor747 and take notice, the servant wave strat only works on a weakened ORT that lost its power core and is making do with a Fantasy Tree in its place. Not to mention the manifestation of ORT's core is actually fighting with us against the main body at the end
      as we saw in the premonition fight, full power ORT is unlikely to be defeatable by just throwing bodies, you'd need the Barrel or Ado Edem around

      @@Raptor747 For some reason people always love to wank and hype on Gun God and Slash emperor, purposely forgetting the huge drawbacks of their weapons and the fact that they never truly finished any Ultimate One, because the work specifically mentions that they don't have the concept of death and they always come back.
      Slash emperor drained the energy of the entire planet earth (a literal double edge and single-use attack) in order to destroy the body of an Ultimate one, which also caused a massive explosion that destroyed an entire continent. All for nothing because the work specifically mentions later that ultimate ones never truly die.
      Gun God literally fell in love with the Ultimate One he "Killed", showing how they never truly die and how hopeless are humans when trying to exterminate them.

    • @tunoddenrub
      @tunoddenrub Рік тому +12

      Honestly, I feel like even ORT wouldn't be able to take Chaos in a straight fight. ORT is (probably) the strongest being in the solar system, but Chaos pretty much *IS* a solar system, in terms of sheer size and power.

    • @LoncusZhao
      @LoncusZhao Рік тому +16

      @@tunoddenrub they should be comparable. Chaos is a dyson sphere, taking the entirety of its star's power, but ORT straight up has nuclear fusion in every single one of its cells, and is an immortal, unkillable, adapting and absorbing abomination.
      You know how the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell? ORT has mini-stars.

    • @Raptor747
      @Raptor747 Рік тому +21

      @@tunoddenrub The reason Chaos is more of a rival is because Chaos isn't actually in the same universe/dimension, so they aren't really direct competitors. After all, in Lostbelt 5, Chaos is "defeated" not by damaging it or making it flee, but simply by severing the portal Chaos was using to interact with this universe/dimension.
      So while Chaos is more powerful by far, it is also less of a threat because it isn't directly present in the universe and can be defeated simply by targeting Chaos's limited point of access to the universe. ORT, on the other hand, is very much present, and has to be defeated directly, which is absurdly difficult.
      ORT is hands-down the most powerful and terrifying being, overall, in the Nasuverse, of all the beings that are directly present in the universe itself. Chaos's power is limited by its much weaker ability to interact and access the universe.

    • @Raptor747
      @Raptor747 Рік тому +16

      Hard to tell, for a few reasons. First: ORT's actual body is the UFO-shaped disk, not the spider. So if he aimed at the UFO-shaped disk first, then...
      Well, it's hard to know. It would probably hurt ORT like hell, but we also see in Angel Notes that even the Black Barrel doesn't necessarily totally kill Ultimate Ones in one shot--TYPE Venus was more or less pacified, but not quite entirely killed.
      My best guess is that Gun God shooting ORT's UFO-shaped disk with Black Barrel would be a devastating first strike, but it would probably need Alaya to follow it up immediately with a bunch of Counter Guardians going ham to make sure ORT truly died.

      Consciously? Still alive. It given a separate personality called V/V.
      It's the avatar of Type-Venus that. Much like Kukulkan is the avatar of ORT.
      The Black Barrel be ORIGINAL or COPIES are not powerful enough to beat an Ultimate One. For this things have no CONCEPT OF DEATH.
      So, Gun God never fully defeated Type-Venus. It just ended with a coma.

    For me the best parts of this are 0:00 through 6:31. The slightly off notes let the listener know that ORT is not of Earth and you really need to be afraid of it.
    6:32 is standard heroic music plus operatic singing
    10:39 - more standard heroic music
    To me the music should have almost been reversed. Go with standard heroic music first where the player thinks it is just a boss, but as the fight goes on the gamer realizes they are dealing with something out of this world. Give it an ability like "Reality Re-write", where it seems to do (for example) 49 pts of damage to the characters, then ORT leaves because it is bored (the characters were using individualized attacks and magic). When the player looks at the character screen the player realizes that ORT actually changed the characters from level 50 characters to level 1 characters. They still have all their gear and spells, but their stats are appropriate for level 1 characters.
    The graphics for the boss battle should have ORT steadily changing into something that is a combination of Evangelion's Ramiel and Star Trek's Crystalline Entity.
    Eventually the characters do enough 'damage' to it using combo attacks, that it is entertained and decides to leave. As it leaves the entire 'structure' that was its palace retracts as well. Seeing the final hole in the ground the player realizes that they never fought ORT itself, they were merely fighting one of its fingers.

    • @Dranikos
      @Dranikos Рік тому +25

      The music progresses to more and more "standard" as ORT is forced to adopt more and more of *Gaia's* rules. As it weakens and it becomes more possible for it to be beaten, the music shifts towards the more "Standard" music for the series. Its first theme, the unbeatable Day of ORT version, sounds more like it belongs in a Sci-Fi thriller than a Fantasy RPG.
      By the end, when it summons itself as Grand Foreigner, ORT is weaker than it has ever been. Entirely forced to act under Gaia and Alaya's rulesets as a Servant from the Throne of Heroes.
      For all its power, ORT is displayed as being the most mindless of the Ultimate Ones we're aware of. Unlike Brunestud or V/V it appears to make no attempt to communicate, treating everything in its path like insects to be trampled or food to be eaten. It never displays any tactical reasoning, instead forcing its way through with sheer power. But that's all ORT really needs, the One Radiance Thing at 100% is powerful enough to take on the entire cast of Type-Moon, at once, and win. (Reminder that it only lost to Camazotz because it lacked an answer at the time to conceptual invulnerability like Camazotz had. Camazotz couldn't just be crystalized and absorbed at the time. And even then, it took Camazotz several MILLION YEARS to grind ORT down enough to force ORT into dormancy. But now Daybit has fed ORT a Fantasy Tree, and a Beast... And now it DOES have an answer to Heroic Spirits, Camazotz would not be able to win again.)

    • @gypsysprite4824
      @gypsysprite4824 Рік тому +11

      From what i've heard, the final phase's music is a remix of an already existing music track called "Ultimate One -Aristoteles."
      Also, yeah, the Ultimate Ones as a whole, from what little we see even within Angel Notes, don't have much of their own free will. The Ultimate Ones are avatars for their respective planets, most likely fulfilling a role similar to the Counter Force that Earth has. Brunstud is the only true exception to this and is unique for it, while TYPE-Venus only seemed to gain an actual will after being killed and then integrating with humanity's concepts and spitting out a cute angel girl for it's projected body.

    • @Raptor747
      @Raptor747 Рік тому +13

      It's more like the music is shifting away from ORT being this utterly overwhelming, alien THING, into focusing more on the incredible heroic efforts of damn near everyone in the Lostbelt giving their all to kill the unkillable, stop the unstoppable, and do the impossible. The last section involves ORT having to hack into the Throne of Heroes in order to continue existing, forcing it into operating more by Gaia's rules than the Oort Cloud's. Furthermore, it's also Kukulkan's debut, who is ORT's original core that has gained sapience, humanity, and its own will, clashing with ORT to defeat it once and for all.
      Remember, by the time ORT goes full UFO, it's RUNNING AWAY from Chaldea. And while it manages to eventually turn the tables when it hacks into the Throne of Heroes and summon itself, the very act of doing that is an admission of defeat/weakness in that it can now only exist as a summoned entity tied to Gaia rather than an independent entity of the Oort Cloud.

    • @blizzard1198
      @blizzard1198 7 місяців тому

      @@Raptor747 Remember this isn't it's true form only a fragment and it already gave Chaldea this hard time, the type has no pride so running isn't a "weakness", it's only the logical thing to do so it could gain more power to fight later. It still is a full-fledged Oort archetype, Gaia could only bind a fragment of it in the lostbelt.
