This would have been more helpful if you actually show the process of taking a non vertical video and making it into a vertical video. since your videos where are already vertical you skip that part which is the most important part for a video like this.
This is a good video, but man do I hate having such an outdated version of Premiere. As soon as we get to the export section I'm SOL since they used different presets back then. Best I could do to keep the aspect ratio was an mpeg sequence. Everything else made it widescreen. Still a good video. Very easy to follow along.
Any advice on the best way to do this from a video that was shot horizontally without needing to scale up to fill the frame? I've been importing videos shot for UA-cam, then creating clips from that video for instagram by making a new sequence and changing the frame size. pasting the horizontal video inside the vertical frame creates the black bars on top and bottom that need to be filled by scaling the size of the video. but now the video is too zoomed in and looks awful. is there a way to simple crop the sides of the horizontal video in to create the ratio for instagram, keeping the image in the video from scaling up?
… that’s how resolution works. If you want it to be full HD resolution at vertical video shoot it horizontal in 4k. You can’t create pixels out of nothing

what if you shot in 60fps? does that matter? i'm editing using Adobe Premiere Pro 2015, cause it's all i got, but am using an iPhone shooting in 1080p 60fps.
Unfortunately, this is just basic knowledge, we looking for a reel that has dynamic transition to the beat that more automated rather than doing ever step myself. Most phone apps are destroying premiere at this point

very fruitful 5 min video. How do you make a video like that while talking and doing some activity at the same time and the video is changing from full screen to a circle frame..I really suck at video edits
The problem I'm coming up against when I try to do captions through Instagram is that when I download the video to upload it for TikTok, the quality has slightly degraded. I absolutely hate the captions that come stock from Adobe Premiere. Do you have a way to make Instagram-style captions within Premiere so I can have a master copy of the highest quality version of the video so I can just upload that to all the social media sites?
Hello! my camera did not automatically rotate my video so I am following the steps in the beginning of this video, but then it's just adding my video in a smaller version to fit the mobile sequence, it's still sideways! how do I fix that??
I see your comment below further explaining turning a video into a vertical video - but my issue is that it was recorded vertical, it just didn't flip! so scaling it essentially turns it into a horizontal video on a black vertical canvas
Can you do a CANVA to Instagram business video? Vertical, with color grading and captions with export settings for best high quality? Especially if shot with iPhone or camera?
I Disagree, vertical video was the cause by poor software back in the early days of Smartphones. Its breaks all the laws of Cinematography and I will NOT bend the knee to vertical videos. Those platforms will die before I shoot a vertical video!

You are exporting in 4k instagram doesn’t support 4k videos
