Yeah, I had a friend who didn't know about their zebra finches calcium needs, and they ended up eating their own eggs. Pet shops sell cuttlefish bones for pet birds to peck at so they can get their calcium. Some birds will also eat leafy green veggies, like kale to get calcium.

But just remember those bastards shoot back but I would not recommend you telling the army that you get a hard-on watching birds and rats die because I think that would keep you out when they done the psych eval. And trust me it's a hell of a lot different than playing on one of them damn video games!
Hello lovely screamingminnow. Take me to Long to trap a lot of mice but I can drive to the next town and probably by a cage full and while I was down there I could pick us up a bottle of George Dickel and maybe case of beer and a bottle of good Chardonnay. Then I could build up a nice fire in my yard under the Moon and I'll build and Electric trap and release the mice into it and we can have a little wine liquor or beer and watch the mice jump around in the cage. And as the fire burns down, and the Rats die off we could adjourn to the living room or bedroom and turn on UA-cam! And then we could really let nature take its course!
The nesting material reminds me of how we'd groom our dogs (I grew up with huskies, thick undercoat) in the spring and leave the fur out for the birds to nest with. And they did use it!
I've had so many nests around my house, never the idea to fix a camera in the usual location. I've seen up to 11 chicks in a single nest and still have photos. Wonderful parents.
I used to raise an Iraqi Bulbul back home. He became so related and connected to me that even when I set him free outdoor, he return to my shoulder. This relationship made me feel that my soul is just like a Bulbul.
@bing bingbung Love is what you experience when you find something that you don't want to share with anything in the remaining entirety of the world. Love is also suffering, because you understand that only through the gift of intellectual capacity could you have loved to begin with. But far too natural is that capacity. So how can you hide anything from nature, if itself the intention to hide is natural? We can conclude that he who loves is suffering; but intelligence is suffering. Hence love ultimately is a demonstration of intelligence.

Enfim. DEUS SEJA SEMPRE LOUVADO PELA OBRA DAS SUAS MÃOS !
please ppl during nesting time, leave them some wild seed, parents birds are so busy, often go hungry, I always leave (everyday) lost of seeds for them to make their life easier
But it only works for certain birds. Many need insects (because protein for the chicks to grow) and don't have much use for seeds. If you want to make them happy, buy some larvae in a pet supply store and leave them for the birds.
@@johannageisel5390 you'd be surprised at how many type of birds (even large ones like magpies) actually eat the seeds and only the seeds. I've been putting bird seeds in my garden during winter for 10 years now,and there's seriously a LOT of birds that eat them. Especially some i never expected to do that.
You SHOULDN'T feed seeds during nesting time, the parents will give them to the chicks and they will choke on them and die. During this time, they should eat soft insects. If you want to help, get some soft live bait from a fishing bait shop for them-
@@blue_lux The adults, yes. But not the young. But you're partly right. I didn't read leeoh moon's comment correctly. They were talking about the parent birds eating the seeds themselves, not them giving them to their young. However, I still agree with Ádor Cserőd that soft animal-stuff is better to provide for them. "Despite the varied feeding habits of adult perching birds, all baby birds require similar nutrients to grow and thrive. Perching birds that normally feed on high-protein insects, feed these to their young. But perching birds that normally feed on seeds, fruits and berries also feed insects to their young until they leave the nest. This is because seeds, fruits and berries do not have enough protein content to sustain the enormous growth rate of baby birds." --- From: www.2ndchance.info/insecteater.htm
What about the emperor penguin? The female lay the egg and then the male takes it over and the females always to the ocean to get fed and bring back a little for the Young. But by the time they get back there almost too exhausted to make it to the ocean themselves

I have a birdbox that gets a nest every year. Usually Blue Tits but this year it's Coal Tits. They seem to know the difference between their parents and a different noise. When I open the door to check on them, at first they lift their heads but then they stay still. They don't open their mouths. I don't think the Blue Tits ever have either from what I can remember.
It's so cool to see the types of insects they mum and dad bring for the chicks. They start off with larvae and caterpillars, soft boys easy to eat, but once they're a little bigger they're bringing them whole grasshoppers and beetles
Usually when they leave they have their parents nearby encouraging them to get the courage and fly and they stay together for some few months before they depart for good.
They actually stay together as a family another 14 days while the parents learn the chick's eat in nature. Then the chicks stay together for a while. The parents often gets two periods with eggs/chicks.
Damn, these parents did an excellent job. I watched another video of these same type of birds and out of half a dozen only 2 babies survived. I am glad to see 7/8 of these little ones had made it. ^^

It's hard to come by calcium.
Laying eggs is very taxing on the mother’s calcium- reabsorbing some is key

Enfim.

please ppl during nesting time, leave them some wild seed, parents birds are so busy, often go hungry, I always leave (everyday) lost of seeds for them to make their life easier
Not only during nesting time, but also during winter.
This is because seeds, fruits and berries do not have enough protein content to sustain the enormous growth rate of baby birds."
