"The valkyrie is carrying the deceased warriors on its back.". Still haven't encountered Karin's moonscroched form but I think her design and the opening line is badass. I also love the weeping scope for some reason
That is a really cool detail of Karin's Valkyrie form, it's my favorite. Weeping Scope's design is awesome as well, especially when you get the extra scenes with him
Lackluster Appearance, I agree, but The Gentleman interests me the most. He has a conscience still. His relationship with Jeeves and the immediate Mayor title he is given suggests he is more of a Servant of Rher than other mindless forms. Similar to Pocketpocket, which isn't a true moonscorched and more of a possession.
@@tatoulino515 Great call and knowing what happens in his current story ark 2 faced is exactly what he is. Cant wait to see Henryks full storyline when Miro releases it
Mechanical Dance is easily the most unsettling to me appearance-wise. The blank expression, stiff and symmetrical body, and the long thin arms that reveal themselves to be blades...and of course, bring the only one to face _you,_ the player, dead-on
And I think in a weird way it even shows the horror a lot of trans or cis people feel that comes from the possibility of being controlled by your lust and natural instincts
Weird to see points docked from Weeping Scope for being easy when that's for such powerful storytelling reasons. I personally found it the most upsetting, which "should" count for something in a horror game
While Tanaka sure doesn’t have the most screen time, I also love Judgement and I’m glad you ranked him high. Despite not having super deep lore there’s a lot of symbolism in his form that connects to his character well such as the glass, the whip, and like you mentioned him being the most humanoid of the moonscorched forms. It reflects his struggle with his ambitions, both in wanting to be the best version of himself and also the pressure of having to continue the family business rather than having true freedom in taking his own path.
i personally love weeping scope fir its appearence and the fact its not that deadly. becayse to me it further reinforces the message that he Does Not Want To Kill, but he feels as if thats all hes good for. its who he is, a killing machine, the scope and the rifle might as well be another extention of his body (which it does becone). the weeping scope isnt deadly because it doesnt want to be with all of whatever is left of levi in there. instead, it weeps pathetically, making it very sympsthetic. to me, it was an easy fight mechanically, but a hard one emotiobally, like putting down a dangerous dog that you know is innocent and you really care for but it simply cannot help what it is (because it was not raised properly, abd it must unfortunately suffer because of soneone elses mistake)
@@Omni_World I Got a hardened heart by Can be taken from the tied up man in Prehevil - Back Alleys (Sylvian's Square) on Day 3 Night, if you shooed the crows away from him on each day
I believe Samarie's dysmorphia is more about her actual deformations caused by the shit she went through with the dark priests, physical and mental. Considering her obvious lack of social skills along with having literally no one to rely on, her insecurities about the said deformations have been bottling up for a WHILE, and those issues finally bursted through the outside world when she moonscorched, literally becoming the embodiment of dysmorphia. Also her more humanoid shape suggests to me that she still had some connection to her humanity in there, meaning she was probably in a limbo state stuck between humanity and being a completely seperate creature. A horrid existence indeed
One thing I would like to point out with o’saa and his moonscorced form is he does not scream or anything. O’saa does not make a sound and just sits. I kind of read it as him giving into the form.
Considering how yellow mages are with how they embrace and often expect chaos, it’s makes sense that O’ssa would not be afraid of death and even moonscorching. He’s the only one in the party that remains completely unphased by things like all the sacrifices or the rher dimension.
I believe that's more of a sign of how terrified he is of not having control over his own life. Even when moonscorching, becoming the very thing he's been fearing his entire life, he acts like he's still in control of the situation
My least favorite is Daan. While I appreciate the lore of Pocket Cat I like the monster designs. They have deep meaning and inspiration behind them. Granted that does still apply to Daan becoming Pocket Cat, I just prefer a monstrous design. My favorite is Marina. The symbolism of her head being… under her skirt, and with her father’s body in a cocoon where her head use to be. It’s also more meaningful that her face, clothes and body don’t change shape she just has extra limbs and they’re moved around. We can easily identify her. The irony is she could never identify herself due to being a boy raised a girl and having the complications of that life. Which is reflected in her new form. Her mind is also more intact than the others. As she’s able to use her knowledge of the runes. She’s not a mindless monster but an uncontrollable, violent one nonetheless. My second favorite is Valkyrie because I think there’s a duel inspiration. Some people may have seen my post on the short. Her inspiration is based on the Valkyrie taking the fallen warriors to Valhalla. Based on her own guilt in profiting from covering the war. Her design is more akin to a Harpy. They also profit from others by stealing from them. They also act as guardians of the underworld and keep the dead from getting out. She both lifts the fallen warriors up to the afterlife and prevents them from leaving.
Wow I was so sure that I knew all the little details on this game, yet I never knew you could see the Valkyre flying or that the Weeping scope had that event shooting Karin
There is another way to "cheese" Cocoon. Well, it's more of an oversight from Miro, but if you run from the battle (the only Moonscorched you can run away from) it dies instantly in the overworld.
Levi should’ve for sure had a one shot headshot attack or atleast take out a limb, maybe even in the overworld and have the fight stay the same but have the approach be difficult
It seems like Miro struggles with boss design in terms of gameplay. Most of the Moonscorched are extremely easy, as are the Contestants in their human forms. Same with the first game, the endgame bosses Yellow King and God of Fear and Hunger are quite easy and underwhelming. Gro Goroth is great though
@@DwurogowyIf you could only use the talking mechanic to stall him once per fight I would argue that it would be a fine boss. Seems like more of a bug that never got patched
