Mine does have a vacuum pump that I have yet to test. It was removed from the truck when I got it so the pump itself might have a problem or the wiring for it. Still need to test on that.
That is awesome! For the 12v battery my plan is to use a lead acid unit that fits in the side battery compartment. Assuming your DC-DC is working the high voltage pack will then keep that topped off.
This will be returning again! Once the new shop space is ready within the next month or so I will have a good space to work on the rebuild part of the mini truck.
@@savvysprocketawesome! Love the idea of one of these in the back of the property with a solar system on a ladder rack or similar. It'd probably be efficient and low enough usage that it'd almost never need a wall outlet.
@@Ruralmn that would be a nice little setup for sure! It would be interesting to run the numbers and see how many panels would be needed to minimize charging enough. Something to think about when I pick this project back up.
@@savvysprocket if you have a 6 foot bed you can probably get 500w of solar over it. Say 4 hours of sun since angles are all wrong. Ballpark 2kw a day added to the battery. Something like 10 miles of driving a day added. Definitely not an exact calculation but I figure that's about right. Can obviously add more and make it more but that's where I landed. If it was me I'd also run a dump load system where spare solar production could be used to heat the interior or circulate air through it depending on the season. Yes I've definitely over thought this. 😅
