In my opinion, putting a frog inside this will be like putting a betta inside a small jar

I agree with Ray in his recommendation of using additional substrate ABG Substrate with some Reptibark is a good mixture for my orchids. Very excited my super rare Jewel Orchids will have a lovely new home in the Air 60. Lovely design. love your work.

I keep dart frogs, I have 5 of them in a biopod grand. I have been toying with the idea of getting a biorb but haven't considered putting frogs into it, how many you would get away with housing, You might get away with a pair, but probably no more than that if you are looking at a tinctorius. Smaller thumbnail darts would allow more.
A things to bear in mind, can you heat the enclosure correctly, and give them the humidity they require? also is what you will be feeding the frogs, is the biorb going to keep the fruit flies in?
Also frogs like to climb the glass, might need regular cleaning, mine seem to love sliding down the glass leaving grubby smears.
On a positive note I find it considerably less work than maintaining my two planted aquariums. Happy to answer any questions you might have on frog keeping.

Such a beautiful "bowl". I'm not familiar with frogs, but if there are little ones, that don't need much space to be happy, than let them in!

Beautiful scape by Ray and really well done video, I'd love to see a mixture of both narration and chat in situ although I know its extra work, this would give it a nice balance. Frogs would really add a nice touch to an already beautiful design and I've seen Ray's in shop so I know it looks great 👍

You will need many more cover plants for the frogs to hide in, plus add isopods of one kind mini ornage or mini powder blues, will help act as cleanup crew and extra food source for the frogs. Plus you will need a dedicated water bowl, along with filling the bromileads centers with water. I would suggest you speak to Taner Serpe of Serpe Designon YT, for ideas and help to make it a frog habitat. Check out his three scapes of the same BiOrb. Add a few mini orchids as well and some ficus pumila (oak leaf ivy)

As long as there is no weird pockets in the biorb why not put a small frog in there, perhaps a dartfrog species.
Very cool. Frogs 🐸 would be great and should love the atmosphere. Do a lot of research tho. They can be hard esp the dart frogs.

Hi George. I see you using the biOrb Air here. I've recently been given an old ReefOne BiOrb 30 and was making to turn it into a little planted tank. I can't see you using BiOrb tanks got keeping fish anywhere and have read some horror stories with people struggling online. Do you have any advice?

Springtails are insects, not isopods, and have six legs. Isopods have 14 legs.

Great looking biorb air, I keep frogs in mine and can say they are doing great and really healthy! Would personally recommend them, I have pics on my Instagram Dorey_scape

I keep dartfrogs from thumbnail species to larger species and I would not keep them in a biorb air.

I've kept them as well, and was considering putting a few thumbnails in one of these. Just curious as to the reason you wouldn't.

How many forms can have beauty? I think that frogs would ruin the plants in such a tiny system and overall it's too narrow inside for them

Don't put frogs in there, just like you wouldn't put fish in a round bowl. Poison dart frogs are amazing, but they deserve a proper terrarium.
