Thank you both, you have echoed so many of my waking dreams in the time following the Southport killings and unrest. Particularly poignant that, every Nov 11th, we see the slogan "Lest We Forget" emblazoned everywhere- it has struck me for many years that we have been guilty, as a society, of collective amnesia on this issue. Time to stand up and be counted.
Absolutely. Time IS running out! Truth is being censored rapidly here in Australia too. Because the new world cabal. Run by Satan, does NOT like “The life the TRUTH and the way.” Nor do they like Patriotism; from Patrios, Greek: meaning; “Of the Father.”
This dream Gavin has totaly resonated with me in another sence. In my town in Ireland a group of us gather once a year and hold a memorial ceremony in the town park ever since the awful abortion referendum in 2018 that legalised the slaughter of innocents in the womb. We remember these victims of the war waged against their short existance by placing on the ground little white crosses, a candle, saying prayers of remembrance and an appropriate tune, to pay gentle hommage to the victims for their sacrificed lives in our state who no longer sees value to protect the most innocent and vulnerable in society. Some might say whats the point in holding a memorial, but its important to remember all the victims that an unjust state does not hold dear. We are publicly showing that we cherish and value those whom the state does not. Its important to non violently stand witness, that you dont have to agree with the one sided narrative and group think that's being projected on us from every angle in politics, media, education etc. We need to stand for just and moral truth in a world that becomes more immoral, where what was right is wrong and whats wrong is now right. Theres a spiritual battle causing chaos and confusion and infiltration of the minds of the morally blind. We need to witness to truth... powerful dream!❤
I lived in England as a kid in the early 70s, I’ve visited tens of times throughout my life. I love this country, its traditions, its people, all the literature, I owe my faith and my imagination to British authors like Chesterton and so many others. I look at what is happening now and I want to say to the British: You know what you are, stop this nonsense and take it back! Love from over here in Norway. 🇳🇴
Thanks Gavin, wonderful dream idea. Sing for Christ, sing for freedom:0) We have War Memorials here in Australia too so when the do-da hits the fan we know where to meet.
G K Chesterton envisaged an Islamic England. Enabled by those at the top of society, including the Church. Read his book "The Flying Inn". Unfortunately the Church played its part. Chesterton envisaged "Chrislam" a combination faith. He envisaged a "Crosant" symbol on the top of St Paul's cathedral. Now look at the symbol that Pope Francis created, for his visit to Morocco in 2019. Is he promoting "Chrislam"? The error is being led by the Roman Catholic and Anglican churches. They are leading their sheep to the slaughter.
In 1990, in ostensibly an episode of the South Bank Show, which is on UA-cam, a long procession of various brass bands and ‘tents’ from around the U.K. and the world, marched with great cheer and vigour into Ulverston, Lancs., to celebrate the centenary birth of one Stan Laurel who was born in the town. He was one half of none other than Laurel & Hardy, still household names and still probably the world’s greatest comedy double act. Watching this now 34-year-old procession sweep into the market town from the standpoint of 2024, brings to mind that famous proverb that “the past is a foreign country; they do things differently there.” In my mind, those participants on a sunny day in June of 1990 wanted to keep alive the memory of Stan Laurel not just for his sake or his hometown’s, but for everybody’s: by organising such a buoyant jamboree, I’d say they were the type who wanted a continuity of the past with the present and to hell if anybody should have thought them quaint and old-fashioned. Before recorded sound and radio came along, for many people a hundred years ago and more, live brass-band music had been the only music they ever heard, in bandstands or at military events such as a commemoration. Alas, millions of people will sail through life, imagining such a form of music as anachronistic: they steer clear of it if they see it. But if the band marches, those modern-day curmudgeons will find them harder to shake off. And marching bands in America are probably more important to the razzmatazz of the American way of life than even the Americans are aware of, especially in this tyrannical digital age. It’s not so much a rebuff to something unchristian as a rebuff to false humility and gloominess that will lead to a summoning-up of an awareness within. As that Irving Berlin number goes, “There may be trouble ahead, but while there’s music and moonlight and love and romance, let’s face the music and dance.” As an antidote to any more taking of the knee at football matches, I suggest disgruntled fans can be more effective by singing “Raindrops keep falling on their heads, raindrops keep falling on their heads, da, da-da-da da da, oh raindrops keep falling, raindrops keep falling …” The Iron Curtain fell without a shot being fired. And humour, good cheer, and good old songs are the only real everyday banana skin for the far too powerful, anti-West bigwigs today. These times should be ever such rich pickings for genuine humorists in the West. Don’t let the hypocrite and the vain get away with it.
I loved your dream Gavin. I was very close to protesting openly at the COVID restrictions and lockdowns in the Australian regime, but did not. I was awfully disappointed our churches did nothing at the time. But this is a beautiful option, peaceful, quiet, within a space which is sacrosanct for all.
I met an elderly man last year who had attended an FA Cup Final at Wembley stadium in the 1950s. He recalled the whole crowd in attendance singing Abide With Me. I think he said that it was not uncommon to do so.
GAVIN: The sinister premonition you experienced is similar to my own, from the moment I heard Johnson speak on our television sets. I thought, "Oh no! There is no way for politicians to get themselves out of this, other than increasing tyranny!" Following the deliberate tricking of the population through 'Operation Terrify' in the covid years, our increasing awareness of what was done to us was bound to make us increasingly angry with those who seek huge sums of money to 'represent' us at Westminster, in the Court of His Globalist Majesty. In order to protect themselves from our wrath, they have to invent distractions and diversions: even to the extent that Britons are murdered in the streets by the invaders brought in by HM Government. The moment the powers that be introduce compulsion into a new medical 'treatment', which was neither necessary, nor safe, then they become "lesser mortals"; of a lower calibre of human being than those they seek to compel. The problem wioth Gavin's proposal is that it is much easier to sing by a war memorial in a small Somerset town, than it is in a Sharia-Zone.
I can't believe I'm needing to revisit treatises from the American Revolution when ministers and philosophers sought to explore the issue of civil disobedience. Unfortunately, most of my texts come from Protestants like Samuel Rutherford's Lex Rex or from Deists and atheists like Thomas Paine's Common Sense, so I hope to find good Catholic treatments of this subject.
Among Catholics in the American Revolution there were General Stephen Moylan, Col. John Fitzgerald, Col. Thomas Moore, and Thomas Fitsimmons, signer of the U.S. Constitution, Charles Carroll, and Father (later Bishop) John Carroll. In Mexico there was Father Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla. Simon Bolivar, Jose de San Martin, and Toussaint Louverture may have had Catholic backgrounds.

Wind your mind back. To the Satanic opening ceremony of the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games. Opened by Prince Charles and Camilla, while his mother was dying. It was his first BIG deal without his mother, and only moments in time before he became “king” of England. Only to remove the name “church” from the “of England”. Then read a poem called “indifference” When Jesus came to Golgotha; by Geoffrey Studdert Kennedy. Written in 1922 (100 years before the games) It was a favourite poem of Archbishop Fulton Sheen. what I can never understand about Gavin Ashendon is this, he left one dictator ship church under the woke Justin welby and settled down under another the Pope? " For there is one God, and one mediator between God and man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5. other than that I enjoy his thoughts.
@@gary4034 dear Gary, you need to enlarge the tent of your understanding:- I left a schematic heretical sub Christian secular woke group of monotheistic therapeutic deists (under Justin W) and found my way home to the church that Jesus founded, and trusted to the apostles, who under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the promise of the perpetual protection of Jesus, handed it down to their successors. It’s true that demonic Civil War of Wokery has found its way into that Church, as it has everywhere, but it is being resisted and it will be repulsed. Come and join the church that has inherited the blessing of Jesus, the power of scripture, the authority of the magisterium, With my one .4 billion fellow believers. Blessed be Jesus (and our Lady (see Revelation 12) Theotokos). X 🙏
Your statement that it is a democratic right for Muslims to choose to live under Sharia law is incorrect. In a democracy or republic the guarantee is freedom, but not the right or "freedom" to negate the laws that mandate freedom for all in that society at the expense of others. In the U.S. we have more priotection in thst regard because of our Constitution that supercedes other laws, and which is very difficult to change. Surely in Britian you must have some superceeding law that guarantees to individual freedom apart from the day to day legislation that could, on occasion, in error undermine freedom, and have to be corrected.
Thank you Gavin. I commented yesterday, but cannot find my comment today! In my comment yesterday, I added that I had taken on board your idea and made a video at my local War Memorial and posted it on Facebook and also uploaded it to UA-cam. I pasted the link in my comment. Today I went down again at noon - unfortunately no one else joined me. I had also received a comment on FB that I am a "right-winder" and was desecrating the war memorial with what I did and planning to do! Hopefully there will be some people joining me next week - it was short notice after all and it was raining! Agree. You would however have to explain it in words of one syllable, Starmer and his acolytes would never understand.
If you 'cherish your nation', you are by definition a nationalist.
You weren’t listening!
@@barbaracleverly9058 I listened very intently. Thus the other comment and explanation below.
what I can never understand about Gavin Ashendon is this, he left one dictator ship church under the woke Justin welby and settled down under another the Pope?
There have been good Popes and bad, he won't be there forever, he's just a man.

I wish you well, but I don't think you're going to sing your way out of this.
Quite strange the hints of praising elon musk all the time. How could that be explained?
I agree, seems out of place considering the Trickster role Musk is playing

Thank you Gavin. I commented yesterday, but cannot find my comment today!
In my comment yesterday, I added that I had taken on board your idea and made a video at my local War Memorial and posted it on Facebook and also uploaded it to UA-cam. I pasted the link in my comment.
Today I went down again at noon - unfortunately no one else joined me. I had also received a comment on FB that I am a "right-winder" and was desecrating the war memorial with what I did and planning to do! Hopefully there will be some people joining me next week - it was short notice after all and it was raining!
Here's my video where I hope that I am doing my bit in an effort to resist the state.

There is no such thing as a right wing fascist. Fascism is a left wing ideology.
Your solution is not to wait to be enslaved.
Your solution is a political movement.
Get off your rears and get to work.
Sorry unable to listen with the trumpet droning - probably an age thing.
Just because you don't like it, it doesn't make it unjust. It is totally wrong to try to undermine a legit govt.
I shall go to my war memorial and play the Last Post on my guitar...very loudly!
