If this video manages to hit 1000 views OR, I manage to get 250 subs, I will eat a ghost pepper LIVE ON STREAM at twitch.tv/billythecorgi
So remember to share the video or subscribe, or both, to watch me suffer! I have 0 tolerance for spicy food!

Like when your DM brings back some dead party members as vampires and the party freaks out! That shit sticks with you! XD

Right! Imagine having your sister come back as a vampire and actually kill you!

Yes, I definitely agree. Emotional investment is what I aspire to create in my players!
This video has given me the kick in the pants I need make all my player's backstories come up asap, in my current campaign. I've done it well for one player but I really need to do it more for the other players too, so everyone has reason to be invested.

Should point out, the cleric and rogue engaged in PVP first by stealing the children from the fighter.

Lol, fair enough. The fighter swung first, but the cleric and rogue did go behind his back, so I can understand that point!

@@BillytheCorgi Its a point I raise in groups, pvp is more than just rolling the d20 to hit :p I had to teach a kender player that lesson as well.

@@dracsis Aha, I get that! PVP is a video topic I want to do eventually as well. I personally don't believe in the "You should NEVER do it! It's always BAD and you're a BAD DM if you allow it" This is one of my favorite moments in any of my campaign, and it was as a result of PvP

@@BillytheCorgi It can result in good situations as long as no one believes arbitrary rules will save them. if everyone plays it out like it would play out 'IRL' in that situation it can make for great story moments, but you can get some assholes who are like "Why did you kill my character."
      "You killed my characters wife."
"Who cares she was an NPC?" Yes that was verbatim an interaction between another player and me. And yeah, he REALLY did not understand. Unforuntately we have people like that in this hobby.

Did you have any prep for the encounter with strahd or was it an improv scenario?

It was definitely not planned at the beginning of the session, but, as soon as the fight started I had it in my head about what was going to happen as a result. The entire time, I had the biggest, evilest grin on my face, and I am very happy we didn't have webcams so my players couldn't see it! lol
