I wonder how pierce jewels will play into factor when the damage jewels come into play. It’s real interesting to see people max out their damage or have some decent pierce
I have a feeling, like most stats, it’ll be a balancing act between pierce and damage but it’ll be super interesting to see what the meta actually is in practice once everything is finalized and goes live! I also want to see if dual school becomes more viable for PVE or if single school still dominates.

Something I was wondering is as someone who’s nearly max lvl (at least lvl 160 in this case) and has been using a mix of dragoon and malis gear, would you truly recommend farming for aeon gear if it may be soon replaced by the new 170 gear?
Thanks! For farming aeon gear, it’s gonna depend on your current survivability. There’s no rule saying you have to farm for any particular gear to progress, but they did just buff the Wallaru bosses and mobs so you may want to see how hard a time you’re having first, then go back and farm aeon gear if need be. There’s also the issue that a lot of the best 170 gear won’t be available until next year because they’re delaying it, so you won’t be able to get it all immediately when Wallaru releases. I prefer soloing so having the best current gear is helpful to me, but if you’re questing in a group you might not need it and can just wait till early next year for the 170 gear release.

I'd recommend going for the jewel packs, not the plants. On average I get 1 plant per 5000 crowns and you're not likely to get the circle one first anyway. The pierce jewels aren't that rare in the school jewel packs.
Since the jewels are by school specific does that mean if an enemy has death resist for example, you only cut through it if you have death pierce jewels? Or does a death pierce jewel mean you can only slot it on a death wizard? I get if you're a death wizard you want death pierce so enemies don't resist your own school and spells. What about dual schooling with dual school gear and archmastery? Just not viable for high resist enemies?
I feel like the way they worded it is psychological marketing to soften the blow of another thing. Instead of a nice fully fleshed out dungeon like they did with the catacombs, it's a mediocre end of world single boss. Kind of feel cheaped out by Kingsisle with that one.

Not that I’ve personally seen, but people are still figuring out all the drops in Wallaru so we might find out soon.
Farming baboons in Thieve Den. Also can drop sellable items and even couch potatoes. Definitely worth
I had the best luck with the genie guard. 6 - 9 pierce per wizard. Overflowing gold and lots of mega snacks for pet.
Btw, don’t bother craft pierce jewels. The chances of getting pierce is lower than farming them.

I’ve been there - sometimes you just get bad luck periods 😢 at least we’ll get to craft them outright in Wallaru. No more RNG!
