Problem is Sinking is NOT "fixed damage" it's gloom damage so it is affected by resistences. Rupture IS fixed(true) damage which is why it needs to kept under control via inconvenience else it dominates the rest of the game.
Imo that just makes sinking even better Theres fights where it gets stronger because of that function, and fights where its weaker, but its possible to change the enemy resistances with debuffs anyway
See heres the thing with Rupture Compared to Sinking, theres WAY less thing to make Rupture counterable Like, at least Sinking has to deal with multiple things 1. They dont do damage on Sanity fights, just make rolls worse for target, and only things like Deluge or Butterfly actually make them take damage through Sinking 2. Even if you are in Non Sanity fight, theres the problem with Gloom resist, which Rupture doesnt have trouble with since its fixed damage not Sin damage 3. Minus Coin, trust me, dont fight someone like Kim with Sinking 4. Passives that instantly recover Sanity to 45 like Gasharpoon Really the only reason why Rupture get such weird Supports, is because of Red Sheet Sinclair breaking the game Even in Off field he would break the game

is there any reason they can't just limit how many rupture potency you can inflict on an enemy? if they're scared of high-potency rupture damage then just limit it to 50 or some other number.
a lot of gacha don’t do direct nerfs on units and ESPECIALLY not statuses. people would just be unhappy if they nerfed rupture everywhere. I think the MOST most they would do is prob giving bosses passives that limit rupture potency(although yes, I do think that devdya and cinqsault with talisman sinclair on bench is rather broken, turn three canto 7 ???(cuz spoiler)…………

The theory is great, but the practice is... Well, Sinclair would just corrode constantly instead of needing to spam EGO if you don't give him first slot.

Ah wait i forget i also use the violet theme gift too crown of thorn help too turn started nclair will have 8sp work really well in boss and in normal encounter i wont take really long to make it to him have 3 atk slot so that wont likely happen that he is corrode
I did the fun with Sinking team like you (but I play with more of the worse team, without Yi Sang), it was okay. 2 fusions on Sinking fixes most of power problems, but damage. Damage without Sinking Deluge or butterfly is so low on enemies with sanity, especially if bosses have sanity (Nelly, Dongbaek, Harpoon trio, Ahab etc).
Good thing about it as well is that if you stack count 1 hit is all it takes for you to win every clash So you just take your fastest unit make it not clash and no worries anymore Even if the fight drags for like 20 turns

As a certified Rupture Brother (And I'm pretty sure I'm the guy who called rupture faction "Rupture Bros" on my now-exterminated reddit acc since reddit hates me), I must say I am COPING as forsooth, we are starving and PM won't give us nourishment that counts (pun intended) SAVE THE RUPTURE SOCIETY... ...LASSO E.G.O. Also, I want to share the fact that my sinking team is pretty much the same as thine own, with two exceptions of Rodion and Autism, as while both look good, they're also too count negative (Outis also does not go count positive, womp womp), and as such I use Dieci Meurmeur (I am a Meursault simp) and Butler Faust (my GOAT).
We are seeing a couple of Rupture things coming Hopefully this means it's Rupture Season this time Also Rodya is S3 is pretty good for Count also she has Rime Shank Give Rodya more S3s and since Discard is really good you usually get 3 turns to cycle to all your skills And 2 of them are S3s
I have about the same setup except I use Butler Faust instead of Dieci Rodya, and I keep Butler Outis on the team. Especially in story content, her really nice SP gain on gloom res helps stay ahead of the bosses while the others catch up, and I like that her Echoes of the Manor lasts longer, which works nice with Butler Faust because she inflicts 3 sinking count on S3 whenever the enemy already has Echoes, and i've never really noticed Outis tanking my count.
I do think if the blood fiend hunter Faust in the future can convert self bleed stacks to rupture count Via the lasso ego either giving bleed or being the conversion point would allow an interesting back and forth for count set up Could also see rupture become similar to charge count after consuming potency to increase the ID over time would be pretty nice Since right now it’s resonance spam deyvat rodion and make sure her health doesn’t fall off until 2 skills 3 go off With not a lot of support in helping with clashing or SP granted the damage is not bad
ah yes, good ol sinking, my second finished team after bleed…it has came rather a long way, I am just glad I don’t have to use bushsang stupid 9 rolling s1(skill issue on my part kinda) anymore
Well this season seem to have some Rupture support coming in, and from what I assume Horsey will also be Rupture support EGO. I really hope that those support are good and Rupture don't have to die because of the sin of an 00 ID.
wait +10 Levels = 3+ clash power?! I was wondering you say it's good to have. I just thought higher survivability and damage only I didn't think you get higher clash power
I am pretty sure every level increases you offense level Which is why you need to level your IDs to do more recent content otherwise the enemies will get the clash power What I mean is every 3 difference in offense level gives the unit with more offense level 1 clash power So if your offense level is 20 and the enemy is 50 it will get 10 clash power with any skill it uses

@@serminimus1I will add more in that. Defense level to offense is also matters. Your ID will be tankier. You deal/get 2% more (scale down with more difference, never goes higher then 50%) damage for each point of difference in offense-defense levels
i like the way they are approuching rupture making units dont waste nor apply with X value,they can still make use from the status without breaking the game,the bad thing? they don't make this for all skills,like this new hong lu,this is bad,really bad,because you're just wasting the status...
Because nerfing an entire archetype (because changing it to gluttony WOULD be a nerf) would be disastrous for the same reason Project Moon got mauled for nerfing Ringsang; justifying the change as being to make stronger IDs in the future doesn’t remedy the fact making retroactive changes in Gacha is a nono and that the current IDs for Rupture are unfun
That would kinda destroy the whole point of rupture, being unadulterated fixed damage that yields massive outcome should you be able to maintain it (keyword: being able to maintain it). You don't mind but I am certain that a very large portion of the playerbase would mind and mind A LOT.

After multiple (2) Rupture runs, I realized that Rupture meant to be used for coin power against X mount of Rupture.

So if we can get crown of thorn and some how hardship so theoretically Nsin wont likely corrode that easily

But everyday I use 2 Lunacy recharges so it becomes 22 Modules
