    I've done it for all my neighbors at Thanksgiving. Now its a big social event for us all. Keeps your neighbors close. We even split cost and donate them shut ins, soup kitchens helping those who don't have the means or the ability. Gives back, help others and have fun and fellowship doing it.

    You’ll put your eye out! lol 11:50. For crunchier skin let the seasoning sit on there’s whole day uncovered in the fridge (or at least 2-3 hours). Should also let the chicken get up to room temperature. Could also do a wet or dry brine.

    • @ozman1966
      @ozman1966 Рік тому

      yea, also rub corn starch or baking powder all over the bird for a better crunch and get bird 100% dry and like you said, drop the bird in after letting it get to room temp., those electric turkey fryers drop temp by 100 degrees and don't recover good at all if the meat is too cold.

      The chicken was floating because it was almost done if you add oil ABOVE THE FILL LINE IT MAY BOIL OVER ONTO THE COUNTER.

    When I fry a whole chicken or a bunch of chicken pieces, I just put regular cooking oil in, a gallon of great value cooking oil at Walmart is only $4.00 a gallon, I reserve the peanut oil for the whole Turkey and filter & drain it to use over again.

    Make sure to take it out of the box and test it asap.
    Bought one from Walmart this year.
    Broken out of the box.
    Would not turn on.
    Likely the completely unneeded safety switch is defective. Spent quite a bit of time and effort trying to troubleshoot it.
    Everything in the area closed for Thanksgiving so no exchange possible and had to put it in the oven.
    Thanks Masterbuilt.

    Hey Rick, looks interesting. Got a couple of suggestions that might help you some. On the carving part before you start make sure you sharpen your carving knife real good before you start cutting on that chicken. That way it's going to cut real good for you. Next try cutting off the leg and thigh on one side keeping it like one whole piece of chicken. Just set it aside and now you have access to the whole breast and wing section and you can just slice what looks good to you. Meanwhile if you prefer the dark meat just cut the leg away from the thigh and decide what you want to sink your teeth into first.... lol. I'm sure it's all going to taste really good anyway... lol. Then if you're having guests for dinner you can get at all that white meat and cut them some choice pieces and you've still got the whole other side of the chicken to do the same thing with.... Hope this helps you some because over the past few months you've sure helped me out a lot with all your videos.... Thanks, Wayne from Texas....

      outdoor fryers, not indoor ones. why'd u buy it if ur afraid to use it?

    • @MeepMeep88
      @MeepMeep88 7 років тому +1

      I like to drop food when in the fryer, the higher the better. As the food is dropping, air particles gather inside the food and enhances the flavor
      Also a secret, make sure the food is completely frozen. Perhaps even dunking it into water and put it back in the freezer so icicles form on the outside. Then dip it into the grease as fast as you can

  • @fadisarsak
    @fadisarsak 9 років тому +1

    man the firer was on the edge of the table and it's visible that it's not fully placed on the counter top, the edge was out beside the sink, you are dealing with extremely hot oil which is extremely dangerous

    • @waynehamilton1358
      @waynehamilton1358 8 років тому

      +Fadi Sarsak Yeah .... you're right Fadi. Hey Rick next time you better make sure you do get those heavy gloves out just in case. And also if you don't already have one handy be sure and have a fire extinguisher very nearby in the kitchen. Remember, never put water on a grease fire and make sure you've got a good sized fire extinguisher and not just some little one that's not going to get the job done.... Good point Fadi....
