i just got into create and found your channel. ive already started building your tilable steam engine right now. really good guides dude. i love that you have it all planned out, show the materials, AND put out a schematic. what a champ
for anyone making this recently. move the andesite vault one block to the left and expand the belt and just add the andesite funnel and the basin will have the space to deposit to the line
@@el_noah11I checked the wiki. The chunk has to be loaded and a player within 128 blocks of the chunk horizontally for the entire chunk to get randomticks.
So, I made a slight alteration to the build ,as SB3 does not allow millstones to turn cobble into gravel, so I am instead using cobble gens and auto hammers for gravel, and washers for flint. I hooked up a couple extra brass funnels and filtered out all unwanted items from the item vaults into lava, and filtered both basins to their respective recipes. Overall however, the build is mostly the same as yours, and I wanted to thank you for showing this in such an amazingly described way, otherwise I would've never been able to adapt it to sb3 the way I needed to!
I'm in love with the create mod and your designs as well. I would just add some feedback to put a brass funnel with a block of flint as a filter and a chute with lava below it to get rid of the block. This is between the basin that creates the normal andesite block and the mixer. Also, I had to move one block to put the andesite funnel to the andesite alloy vault. The basin was hiding the output canal to the vault funnel. Other than that, love your content dude, keep it up! Btw I reduced the RPM's from 128RPM to 64 RPM, and the total consumption is 4,676SU's. Previously, it was around 6,600SU's if I'm not mistaken.
I added a brass funnel there to filter out intermittent flint and gravel x 1 blocks that came out of the clanker, they always gum up the mixer and annoyed me. The flint blocks get trashed and I keep the gravel (may as well have another source of gravel for the time being, I figured)
Set the recipe filter to andesite on the basin with the press, where the basin spout is, there is a spot to set the recipe, this prevents the press from making flint blocks
I enjoyed this tutorial. You were able to explain as you went along and didn’t rush or skip parts. Makes it easier to follow that way. Thanks! I look forward to more of them!

Love the design! It's a lot like mine, just placed differently. I built in a tower, so I had to seperate the different generators. Love the use of threshold switches, links, and clutches. I need to do that more. I've also designed my own gold farm, and one to make train track. Nothing super-fast, but almost unbreakable. I got tired of building those "super fast and compact" farms that run great for a few days, but soon jam and stop working. They are still not very big, just a lot simpler and just work.
one ting i noticed: if you leave the gravel and flint output funnels as-is, the machine clogs with gravel. it works much better to have two brass funnels outputting 2 flint and one gravel respectively.
The direction of rotation in older versions used to matter for the mechanical pumps so the mechanical pumps were able to be reversed depending on the direction of rotation, and now in newer versions the direction of rotation no longer matters for the mechanical pumps so they don't get flipped if they spin in the order direction.
I would recommend adding a brass funnel to the mixer with a Block Of Blint and Gravel Blocks filter into lava. The Iron Nuggets don't produce quickly enough and there's a backlog
If you're having problems with flint and iron nuggets piling up in front of the brass funnel into the 3x3x1 item vault, put a depot on the block just under the brass funnel.
I know your specialty is small, contained farms for dedicated item generation, but it would be fascinating to see your take on a network of farms - where for instance - all of the lava is generated / made in one area, the cobble in another, etc. I'd imagine that in a medium to long term playthrough having all of your resource generation decentralized like this can lead to a lot of wasted time (and efficiency!)
Funny enough, I’m my own world, I have 90% of my farms(I like to call them factories) inside a vertical tower. Many of them feed into each other, and the main output of the farm is iron, and the Create: New Age reactor fuel rods. Those loop around to my reactor, heating the boilers, producing more power to make more iron and reactor fuel. I want to make a tree farm on top of it, because I also have the new recipes and additions mod for create, so you can turn the wood into charcoal, crush it into coal, crush it again to get coal blocks, and crush it one final time with lava to get diamonds. I already have one experimental tree farm away from the tower, so optimizing and centralizing it would be even better.
Awesome job bro! DON'T try this ANYWHERE near wood. I built it in a Woodland Mansion and burnt through 3 floors before I stopped it. It would have been a total loss if I had not been there watching it, and that's a HUGE structure to lose. Lava encased completely in glass, wood 3-4 blocks away, you would think that's enough. WRONG! I removed all wood and replaced it with polished granite. No more house fires.
You 100% forgot to cover a a lava source 😐 lava cannot set fires thru blocks, even transparent ones or from inside of a cauldron, the ONLY way is for an exposed lava block to be within a handful of blocks of something flammable. Its literally impossible for it to have happened the way you claim
i cannot stress enough how important it is that y'all get the belt lengths correctly. i made them too long by a single block in the beginning of the tutorial and it threw off everything. items were going onto the wrong belts and were clogging up the machine. thankfully i first made it in creative so i could more easily correct it, but still. I may have wasted my time doing that, but I hope my comment will help you not waste yours.
Thank you for your work ! Just finished building it but it seems there is a problem : The iron nugget isn't fast enough to follow the production of andesite, make the mixer wait. Anyone having the same issue ?
Dripstone method costs nothing and can be scaled infinitely to meet your needs, melting cobble requires an entirely seperate build and is VERY limited in how fast you can produce lava even at large scale
Please note that you don't need specifically dripstone blocks as these are only used to generate more pointed dripstone. For filling cauldrons be water or lava any solid block works
True but using dripstone just makes sense bc youll have a handful of it anyway from collecting the pointed dripstone and it has no other use anyway 🤷♂️ its about creatively disposing of useless materials you have on hand
The one thing most tutorials leave out, including this one, is setting up a way to power it for a survival world. There are no motors, and I like to see how people connect rotational power to it. You'd definitely need a steam engine, which requires its own setup, or two windmills at close to max SU, or 25 large water wheels.. Otherwise, good video, I like the step-by-step.

Firstly, to answer people's questions, yes it does work on 1.19.2. Secondly, I'm having an issue where the machine starts to heavily slow down and theres iron nuggets, flint, and gravel piling up. Could anyone give me a very specific tutorial on how to fix this issue it would be greatly appreciated.
You either didnt include the threshhold switches or you forgot to connect them to the correct channels, the only way it can pile up is if the machine doesnt turn off when its full, which his version does infact do
I have a problem where my andesite generator gets filled too fast with andesite and leaves no space for the flint, also idk why the watering process for gravel is taking millenia to make nuggets
Why are you voiding flint? Isn't that one of the ingredients? Could you make it from the washing instead of the milling, or are the returns really that negligible? If it takes awhile for the lava to get up and kicking, wouldn't it be better to just use the lower-production one?
I dont know if I permamentally fixed it but i sometimes get more flint stored in the basin. With Chocolate Edition modpack there is a Supplementaries mod which compresses 9 flint into flint block. This makes the machine stop producing Andesite Alloy since it would put the block into the mixer. Since im new to create it took me a while to understand what was going on and my solution was to make a brass funnel that would pick up this flint block and toss it into a lava box like you do with flint on the washing section. Havent had the machine run for long but i havent run into that problem again...yet. Hope it helps with anyone that also has modpacks that makes new recipes breaking your machines. Edit: Found out that you can right click on the Mechanical Press with an Andesite Block to lock the recipe so it wont create those flint blocks
i dont know what i did wrong but i keep getting blocks of flint and gravel bricks.. its just shooting out one or the other too fast for the smasher to consistently make andesite EDIT: i followed someone else's advice and put a filter on the basin (for the blocks of flint/gravel bricks) and it fixed THAT problem! the new one that popped up is when the basin gets full of gravel and no more flint can be put in! @.@
The filter on the basin is supposed to be an export filter for andesite alloy 😐 you cant use filters for the inputs or it breaks. Filtering the output makes it so that its not allowed to activate for any craft other than the one its filtered to export

A) no B) your power should NEVER be built directly on top of all your factories, you make a seperate build a good few chunks away where you can just make as many steam engines as you need for expansion without having to more production lines around to fit them
Only issue I have with this, is the Andesite portion fills up way to quickly with gravel before the next piece of flint, causing the Andesite portion to seize up at the basin.
Can you build those one chunk factories again, but spaced out a bit? To make all the different production chains understandable and less cluttered for create mod beginners...
"For create mod beginners" step 1: dont try making anything compact or space efficient, im serious, just focus on making sure everything spins in the correct direction and is connected in the right order, worrying about space efficiency is for exoerienced users trying to push the limits. Beginners just need to worry about learning how to keep their belts going in the right directions and have their machines outputting the correct things
Nice video!!! But I do have 2 questions. 1. How much does it produce an hour. 2. Why would you need to build it in a chunk? Anyways apart from those questions keep going your videos are great.
after building this i realized one thing: its such a huge waste of SU. it took an insane amount of SU to run this thing with the speed he's setting yet the output is not that amazing (i understand that comes with the 1 chunk build thing) so to be more SU efficient, SET THE 128 SPEED AND THE 256 SPEED ROTATION CONTROLLER TO JUST 64. that cuts down the SU immensely without compromising the production of your andesite alloys.
i dont think the schematic works as planned. my gravel belt is rotating the wrong way and im bashing my head trying to troubleshoot it and i feel like i might just break it all down and just do step by step on the video :/ please edit schematic or comment ez fix in comments. thanks
i have a slight problems in the press machine where flint and gravel compacted into andesite. the gravel is over filling. i kinda confused why the gravel produced so fast. it ended up stalling
I thought I followed it perfectly but when you get to the step for adding the main power input it does not match up. yours seems to be a block shorter but I cant see how that would work. This becomes a issue because the cauldron do not line up for the lava
wait a min, im building the andesite farm and somehow my cube is 14x14 but when i was about to place the item bank where is the flint millstone (aka the millstone producing flint or smt like that) i was like missing some space like 2 or 3
everything works except the iron nuggets he does not make, if I stand test where the filter is attached to the brass inlet it does not take a minute and I have a pile of iron nuggets but if I do not stand there nothing comes to the other side the vault does not exactly do a good job
I cannot stress how long the recipe animations at the beginning took me, editing is hard

i dont think the schematic works as planned. my gravel belt is rotating the wrong way and im bashing my head trying to troubleshoot it and i feel like i might just break it all down and just do step by step on the video :/ please edit schematic or comment ez fix in comments. thanks
can u make a brass auto farm ? .-. or even an enchanted farm? .-. or even a system to store much more lava? for making the boiler much more efficent?
Hey, the basin that makes andesite gets filled with gravel way to fast and i cant normally produce the alloys. What can i do?
i have a slight problems in the press machine where flint and gravel compacted into andesite. the gravel is over filling. i kinda confused why the gravel produced so fast. it ended up stalling
It doesnt work for me.. the mixer isnt doing anything
when placing the first vaults there is not enough room???
I thought I followed it perfectly but when you get to the step for adding the main power input it does not match up. yours seems to be a block shorter but I cant see how that would work. This becomes a issue because the cauldron do not line up for the lava
HAHAH I JUST WATCH UR VIDEO WHERE U BUILD IRON FARM AND I JUST FINISH BUILDING AND NOW I SEE U HAVE NEW VIDEO 😂😊
wait a min, im building the andesite farm and somehow my cube is 14x14 but when i was about to place the item bank where is the flint millstone (aka the millstone producing flint or smt like that)
i was like missing some space like 2 or 3
At 2:48, what are Threshold switches? I can't find them anywhere in the creative inventory?
everything works except the iron nuggets he does not make, if I stand test where the filter is attached to the brass inlet it does not take a minute and I have a pile of iron nuggets but if I do not stand there nothing comes to the other side the vault does not exactly do a good job
You are so cool
Imagine show this mod for someone from 2012-2016
There is an easier way ro make andesite alloy. It just uses cobblestone and lava in a basin with a mixer and no heating is required.
thats a custom recipe
@@YellowStarFish9800 Yeah I think it's on one of the Add-ons for Create.
made this following the design for some reason the second set of drills are not drilling the cobblestone? Any help would be appreciated
the clog still happens. there is too much gravel which blocks the flint from getting in
I have been struggling a little I think its because the press is making gravel bricks because of the Twigs mod, Is there a work around?
when i place the input funnel between the basin and the vault the little tube thingy disappears on the basin for me why is that :(
Why the vault at the belts? Wouldn't filtered tunnels be easier?
there is not enough space between the basin and the item vaults for me
А можно эту ферму использовать в версии 1.19.2?
Should work yes

How would you power something like this? I have a windmill on my world.
