Inside the U.S. people are presumed innocent, and law enforcement is supposed to have some sort of probable cause to justify questioning or detaining them or searching their belongings. Customs and immigration agents don't need probable cause to interrogate, detain, or search or detain the people who are trying to cross the U.S. border. The agents don't need permission and they don't need to explain their criteria. Once a person is out of the customs area and actually inside the U.S. border, the presumption of innocence is applied again, even if customs agents are bringing charges against the person for criminally attempting to import drugs.

True. All because they have a strong suspicion she's a prostitute, which is probably true, yet they have nothing against her to make any arrest. It's why they grilled her in questioning hoping she would slip up. She didn't have to answer them whatsoever. She's not obligated to answer shxt , she hasn't committed a crime and even if she did she could plead the 5th. NEVER EVER TALK TO POLICE. It NEVER helps you
Unfortuantely, Miami is known as a "party city" and not just during the Super Bowl. @@dynagaming2693 if you've ever dealt without law enforcement you know they are some of the worst in the country. And this is coming from someone who has worked with enforcement in many parts of the US.
The tactics that the CBP uses would never be allowed outside of an airport, total profiling and they’re so subjective on how they determine that a person is suspicious or not.
Actually, it may not be random or profiling, the "substance" may have earlier shown up on the screen. Hence whoever picked up the baggage would be subject to scrutiny.
I lived in NJ for 2 years and left because I couldn't stand the drinking my husband was doing. Back in England a couple of months and I get a call to say he is in hospital and next day another call to say he died so I went there to pick up his ashes. I was stopped and accused of having drugs in the urn so of course the horrible sarcastic people took the urn and opened it to find it was ashes. So bloody arrogant and after watching them on tv I see it's normal for them to suspect many people.
That is extremely difficult. However, drugs come through in urns. You received the treatment because it's been caught before this. I know it hurt you but the agents have seen this. 🙋
Miami has ALWAYS been a hub of drug smuggling, since the 70's. A lot of the times, the smugglers will "plant" an unsuspecting decoy, like this girl, so the officers will concentrate on an individual or sometimes, a group, so the real smugglers can blend in! I am sure things have changed since then, with x-rays and drug dogs, it's a bit more difficult.
i know they say that these are 'real people' but why are so many of the shots staged.. e.g. of that young woman near the beginning.. perfectly framed and timed... was she acting for the cameras
I personally think they should drug test police officers every single day. Every day they show up on the job they should take a test. That's called accountability
Any job in law enforcement or civil service has regular drug screenings. You seem overly concerned about the police, while 40,000 people are dying every year because of these drugs.
This is INSANE to me… since when do we have to show “proof of employment” or whatever to show how we can afford tickets? And they even said that OTHER people paid for it. Which one is it?
Yeah, it's an issue when they said "she looked too clean". In other words, she doesn't look like a drug smuggler or a prostitute, therefore we suspect that she is.
They’re profiling single and poorer people, add in gender and race and you have them at your throat. Lots of people have jobs that pay for them formally or informally. Family and friends buy them tickets. A boyfriend or girlfriend could buy you a ticket. Those are not reasons to impound. They should be looking out for the real bad people. They should be less worried about a teacher from Colombia than a girl from Paris coming for the weekend to the US on her 6th visit in one year.
The hassle with the Colombian chick, was just uncalled for; all I seen and heard was a lot of ego and jealousy of the girls success in life. What business is it really, of someone's other side gigs (social or otherwise)and/or other endeavors in their personal lives. They attempted straight up intimidation to gain information. She should have been allowed to go about her personal business, as soon as the tests showed negative. The counterfeit ring seizure. Why? I bet every one of the rings had some kind of intentional comical/whimsical misprint. Even if they were very lookalike, but, that doesn't make them counterfeit.
There's an old business saying, "No matter where it's at....you got to go where the money is." We do that with our own business when we do shows around the country.

"this is one we missed, just time to get the next one" such a horrible attitude. If someone is innocent it's called being a normal person. It's not a "we missed this one". They just presume everyone is guilty and if they aren't they are just hiding it
that was poor form. not a good attitude to have.
That's their job.
Their justification as officers of so called law is based on antiquated, redundant bufoonery funded by victim/taxpayers with nothing but harm escalation
Bingo
I understood it as she was referring to the flight "we missed this one" as in the possible contraband on this flight... that how I took her statement she is law enforcement and they see alot more than I do that's for sure...I'd bet every flight has atleast one person trying to smuggle something into the country...
The way they talk about the lady is disturbing. It seems like they are tryna get her in trouble for something else bc they got mad she wasn’t smuggling and they wanted to be right.
Probably, because she is a pornstar...
@Sarah Shon Yes i agree, never judge a book by its cover. They were just mad because she is traveling all over the world and they are still stuck at the airport 😂😂
It NEVER helps you
Sarah shon what's your IG @?
TRYNA ??
Love how they weigh the packaging too and count that as part of the street value.
The massage guy with the Xanax is cute. Guaranteed he’s giving “happy endings.”
“The cooperator was charged with possession with attempt to distribute” never talk to the cops is the lesson here apparently.
Probably got a lighter sentence for cooperating.
Of course he was charged 🤦♂️... That's WHY he cooperated... They don't just bust someone and not charge em with anything because they "may" talk.
They downgraded his charge
You are right though, never trust a stranger, badge or not
Just realised this? Lol you're better off not talking. Atleast then you ain't a snitch
"Maybe she's new to the game" hahaha. Wise words
“he who has nothing to hide has nothing to fear”, said the agent. Makes sense.
"It's a Hybrid Thing" ahah love it! it's a battery matter after all
They projected their sick fantasies into that young lady’s situation. It’s sick.
How?, she's a pornstar...
My thoughts exactly, I didn’t like how this show “spun” that encounter… terrible!
Unfortuantely, Miami is known as a "party city" and not just during the Super Bowl. They base their ideas on previous encounters with individuals from areas that are known to engage in human trafficking, like Colombia. While sometimes it definitely seems like they're "reaching", it's not without cause.
@@dynagaming2693 if you've ever dealt without law enforcement you know they are some of the worst in the country. And this is coming from someone who has worked with enforcement in many parts of the US.
Do you refuse to listen or just plain daft?
Surprised they don’t just put a load test on it and see if it pushing 550+ amps or not. If not, it’s not even a car battery.
The tactics that the CBP uses would never be allowed outside of an airport, total profiling and they’re so subjective on how they determine that a person is suspicious or not.
Yes but that is what you agree to once you "board the ship."
Amen. This is wrong. Gr8 comment.
Actually, it may not be random or profiling, the "substance" may have earlier shown up on the screen. Hence whoever picked up the baggage would be subject to scrutiny.
It's totally appropriate
Literally one of the most common ways to smuggle drugs so 🤷🏼♂️ savage but literally expected ngl

A little more difficult 😉
Yupe a diversion to distract officers
i know they say that these are 'real people' but why are so many of the shots staged.. e.g. of that young woman near the beginning.. perfectly framed and timed... was she acting for the cameras
Almost everything is staged
Believe half of what you hear, and none of what you see.
Obviously they will not show their faces
Its staged but based on a real story
Imagine wasting your life trying to stop people putting stuff in their bodies that they choose to...Losers!
I personally think they should drug test police officers every single day. Every day they show up on the job they should take a test. That's called accountability
Any job in law enforcement or civil service has regular drug screenings. You seem overly concerned about the police, while 40,000 people are dying every year because of these drugs.
@@Zaltic40? 😅
What if she was being trafficked? Threatened to come in to be a prostitute? How would you feel then?
except she was guilty and a known worker, they just didn't have anything on ger
Typical for the cbp guys.
@@HG-hm4gf the dude's real problem, was her apparent social success.

There's an old business saying, "No matter where it's at....you got to go where the money is." We do that with our own business when we do shows around the country.
Disgusting how he basically kepting calling her a prostitute.
The first time I went to Miami in 2004 literally 10 minutes into being on the beach a couple came up to me and asked me if I needed party goods. Later on that night a guy came to my room with a briefcase with every drug imaginable in it. Good Times

@@MeowMeow-yw1zp yes, I try to get all the drugs off the street I can. So that the children are safe of course.
@@MeowMeow-yw1zp lmao
@@MeowMeow-yw1zp you wanna protect children from drugs???? The solution is pretty simple: legalise all drugs.
@@jerseybred732 you didn't get any drugs of the street at all. Let me illustrate this with another example.... If I go to let's say burger king and buy up all the food they have, do you think that burger king will stop selling food the next day??? Same goes for drug dealers. If you buy everything of them they are gonna go straight back to their provider get more and continue selling. That's just basic economics. You can fool yourself as much as you want telling yourself you are doing good deeds but if you really wanna do a good deed and make sure that children and drug users/addicts are safe... Write to your representative to make all drugs legal so quality and purity can be checked and so we can control under aged use as we do with alcohol and tobacco.
